The process itself was fine. I'm not as satisfied with the material used in the home.

When I was showed the show house, everything looked awesome. We would get all the same amenities, countertops, cabinets, and level of detail in our home. It was fine till a week before the closing and we were doing our “blue tape walkthrough” with our Construction Manager Justin. The whole house was covered in blue tape. You’d think I’d be exaggerating but for every wall there was at least 20 pieces of blue tape pointing to 20 different problems. It ranged from brand new appliances being scuffed and scratched up to drawers not even having the correct items to close. We also had one spot on the first floor that was a whole section of different flooring color. You could easily tell. There were staples also shooting through all carpeted areas, especially on the stairs, and paint on various pieces of carpet. When my brother in law began to bring up these issues, Justin talked over him and kept telling him he was wrong. Oh did we mention our inspector caught that the AC wasn’t cooling down the house? Justin says it’s within their 22 degree range and it’s fine. Turns out we have a 3 ton unit for 2 floors when two people live here that physically get extremely sick if it isn’t below 73 inside and out. I was feeling faint and nauseous by the time the walkthrough was over. I was feeling extremely upset and unsure about the work that was done. I wanted to back out. My family insisted that we could make this home our own. When we did our last walk through (at 9am in the morning after an hour and a half drive to get there) the house didn’t look any different except holes in the walls were fixed and the drawers now worked. There were still staples coming out of the stairs and there was still paint on the ground. I kicked up a fuss and Justin told me there was nothing they could do. Signing was fine, but when we moved in the following day, we found out they hadn’t cleaned. There was dust everywhere, we found nails and screws in the backyard (where my 16 month old nephew plays), and our driveway was all messed up from the big trucks coming and going. We have a giant chunk currently missing still. We also have a huge and serious bug infestation. Little roach looking bugs and ants everywhere! We literally signed for this house less than 24 hours prior! Justin told us they cleaned! We’ve been battling them every since. I have been doing pest control as we want to find a good company. Oh yes there is still staples and nails on the stairs. My bathtub is scuffed. I start to feel really bad about signing on this over priced pile of staples and nails. 2 weeks later - the house is falling apart. 2 of the shower curtain rods spontaneously fell down. Thankfully one of them was when no one was there. The other though almost hit my nephew in the head, if not for my sister putting her hand there to block the way. We had to take her to urgent care because it felt broken when my dad (who is a registered EMT) was examining it thoroughly between her screaming her head off. Thankfully it was just severely brushed and had indented her hand pretty bad. To this day touching her hand there makes her wince. No idea how long it’ll take but imagine if that was a toddler!!! They just put in tension rods. Not legit rods at all!! I could get these from Walmart for $15!!! Justin says we can text him if we need stuff fixed. All of us text him and he never answers. He gets transferred to Conroe sometime next week. The bathrooms in both levels are starting to have pealing problems with the flooring behind the toilet and bug problems! Even if we bug bombed the house it wouldn’t be enough. We were cleaning the house, trying to get rid of bugs when we pulled out the bottom drawer from the over and found stuff from the builders under there! Also, the flooring underneath is warped and touching the bottom of the stove!!!! You know what my customer service manager named “Megan” told me? “I have the same house of you and my flooring isn’t warped”. Okay Megan. That’s your house, not mine! That same day I put in a ticket for fixing the flooring, a piece of the crown molding from the upper cabinets came apart and fell down. It actually hit me in the arm as I was trying to clean up something on the counter. After putting in the ticket and Megan calling me back, she tells me that they only work till 5pm. Well great! I’m off at 3:15 and can get home by 3:30. We can meet then and go over the house stuff. She tells me that won’t work for her because she is already off work by then and will have to do something called a “Tele Link” I believe. Wait so you work till 5 but can’t drive 10 minutes to a house at 3:30 to just go over the issues? Sure. She never calls me back when I try to reschedule due to emergency doctors appointments. THEN she calls me the day of, AN HOUR LATE, and tries to start the Tele Link. She says it was an emergency but she at least could’ve texted as she has done so before. I work two jobs and my second one starts at 5pm. I tell her she’ll have to call me back on Wednesday or sometime through Thursday or Friday. She tells me “oh 5pm Wednesday”. 5pm rolls around. Guess when she calls? 5:44!! Seriously!! That’s so freaking unprofessional. She also talks to me like I’m a child, an idiot, and that I know nothing. This is my 3rd house. I know this process. She demands that I be home for the work to happen, even though I’m a teacher and have limited days off. When she initially tried to schedule the appointment, I told her “I have to do anytime after 3:30pm”. She comes back with “Okay so Tuesday at 9:30am?” She didn’t listen either just like Justin. This whole house was built with bad materials, with people who obviously don’t care about quality, or taking care of someone else’s home, and after you buy it good luck!! You’re stuck with this shoddy house with lacking customer service AND promises that were broken. I will NEVER buy a Pulte/Centex home ever again!!! ... More

Great experience from start to finish the sale teams was amazing she kept me inform with all the incentives made sure we got the incentives that was offered. She was informative and available to all my questions! The construction manager was awesome as well he explained everything thoroughly the lenders was also informative I had a pleasant experience (only thing missing is amenities for this neighborhood being that surrounding neighborhood has pools and dog parks

Tracy did a great job walking us through the home inspection - he was very specific in the details and went over all areas of the house, warranty- both inside and out- he communicated well and helped make the experience a very pleasant and easy one. He is a huge asset to your company

I love my new home although the response to some of my concerns has been lacking. I submit an issue and may get a response, I have to follow-up to get a response.

I had a great experience with the whole Centex team. Leslie was a great help with getting me approved and all the paperwork involved. Bryan was also essential for a successful home purchase. He was knowledgeable about the homes and all service warranties associated with the build. Quickly responded to any questions/concerns I had.

Overall experience from start to finish was a great experience. Deadlines for the various trades on our home were either met as scheduled or even times were met ahead of schedule. We are very pleased. Definitely would recommend Pulte to our friends and family.

This is a very cheap house. The workmanship is poor, the fit and finishes are terrible. They put in several hundred square yards of grass, but put no irrigation system and didn’t offer one, although they said they did, at signing. I have been trying to keep the grass alive until I was able to get someone to install irrigation. I finally got it done and now the grass and trees are half dead and I’m trying to recover them. There was no lightbulb in the garage or the garage door opener. There are no medicine cabinets, no hand towel rods, no drawers in the bathrooms, you could drive a truck through the gaps in the locked doors, they used the cheapest shingles, there was spilled paint on the driveway, and in the garage, the cement on the edge of the garage, and the front porch is marred and has overspray, there was a hole. I could stick my foot through behind the dishwasher through to the outside of the house. It has been six weeks and the street in front of my house still has 2 inches of dirt in it, they planted two oak trees, 6 feet apart in the front yard. In 10 years, those trees are going to collide. Mary in the sales office went above and beyond. We moved from another state and she made the whole process very easy. Cody the construction manager was very helpful and explained the house warranties very well.

Everything went smoothly, my family and I are highly satisfied. We got our home looking 10/10. Thank you Centex!

incredible experience the result of the house is of excellent quality

Pulte Mortgage, sales and construction managers were excellent throughout the whole process. The Underwriters were a nightmare. The painters were below average and trim contractors. Everyone else did great work!

Our entire process went very well. The builder was incredibly helpful and continues to check in when he sees me outside to make sure things are going well.

Centex's warranty customer service department is either incompetent or worse, not willing to stand behind its warranty. For the first two weeks after we moved in, the on-site project manager took care of any warranty issues we had. After we started having some electrical problems a month later, we were told now we have to call their customer service. We contacted their customer service to have an electrician come out and take a look. Centex told us they made an appointment for us. When the electrician never showed up I called that electric company but was unable to get hold of anyone. I called back Centex and they told me they made an appointment with a wrong electric company. After that, Centex made another appointment, this time with a different electric company. Guess what? They didn't show up either. When I called that electric company to find out why nobody showed up, they had no idea what I was talking about. I don't know if Centex warranty customer service is doing this intentionally, so they don't have to stand behind its warranty or they are just plain incompetent. Its only 1 month in new house and i'm facing issues with my AC unit. Washer is not working properly. There are small little holes in the house through which many unwanted guests like roaches, ants, crickets keep coming.

Appliances not working sprinklers wrong equipment electrical plugs uneven will do an inspection before the year it’s over disappointing

I really didn't want to write this, but this has truly been a very bad experience with this home purchase. I have come to realize that big business is bad business all the way around. That includes Centex reps and their perspective contractors. Have a good day.

Would recommend to purchase through centex

My family an I moved into (our home) thank GOD ITS NOT OUR FOR EVERY HOME. First there was no inspection done only the H2O inspection paying almost 400,000 for a home you would think I would have gutters though their were none. After living in the home for only 12 days the flooring was coming up also in my master bathroom their is nothing surrounding the tube as far as backer board for those who don’t know what that is it’s a green or red board that protects against water damage I’m not talking about tile but they only put sheet rock around the tube that began to peel only after 12 days after informing the warranty department I was told it would be addressed though here today on August 7th it’s still not fixed though when I addressed the situation I was told an I quote I should bath my kids in my upstairs bathroom. I’m a retired Navy veteran whom has been to war three times an im still fighting for what’s right for my family though being treated as if this is ok. We moved in on May 27th and I put in this request in on June 9th an as I said it’s the 7th of August this is unacceptable Kyle, Corbin, Josh, Javier, Ms. Christine also Regan. I have spoken with an after speaking with six individuals u would think things would be taken care of though the only thing that was fix were my front an back doors. They were fixed on the 5th of August. I haven’t seen a inspector only a adjuster the ac unit is making a squeaking noise some places in the home aren’t caulked properly I had to paint my own garage my patio was address as well though not put back properly the landscaping in my backyard was not done properly an retaining water do to the slope an I find this completely unacceptable so if someone were to ask about buying from Centex homes I would definitely deter them. The entire sales, title, and post sales support team at Centex are awesome. Very minor issues with home delivery, (paint scuffs, door lock fit, damaged threshold), all were resolved quickly and painlessly. I recommend Centex and the Pulte family of companies to all.

Sales experience with Ryan was great. Mortgage team was aggressive to the point of harassing and not competitive with offerings. Pulte/Centex contracts out the work to companies employing individuals that either lack craftmanship skills or have no pride in their work. ESPECIALLY the paver company, finish work, drywall work and the grading of property and the sod placement. The kitchen appliances are of horrible quality. Whirlpool Customer Service is horrible Site Manager Shawn and Warranty site contact Brittnay are quick to respond and genuinely seem to care.
