Many problems with the house from the grass in the back, shower doors with gaps, back door jamming, recurring kitchen leak one side of the closet different measure than the other one, garage walls were not finished, garage floor uneven ruff spots. Not good workmanship.

I purchased this home to relocated to San Antonio TX’ found what has turned out to be a nice neighborhood with a great group of neighbors… however it’s been nearly 5 months and I am still tracking down help to get my home repairs that were promised at closing done! My front door has blue tape all over it from the walk, I have a toilet down stairs that flooded, my living room switch turns the lights on in my bathroom! I have cracks and seams on the walls I’m almost every room and the guy I spoke with said “well we can get to those MINOR things when we walk through your house at the 11 month mark” I have asked numerous times for a manager to come walk my house with me and NOONE will! I have paid for repairs out of pocket to make the home livable! Literally I have no toilet in my bathroom downstairs still. I had to buy a new toilet myself! The list goes on and on about the horrific quality of fit and finish of this home, or should I say lack of quality! It has left me no choice but to reach out to the BBB I have emailed, called, text and spoken in person with multiple people and in 5 months the only thing that was handled was a few lady’s came in with interior touch up paint and slapped paint all over the cracks in the walls to try and fill them and shut me up. Overall I had a positive experience in buying a home through Centex/Pulte. Our sales representative was very kind and helpful. We had a water intrusion event prior to closing and the team was very responsive and upfront with us. They also paid for all of the testing and remediation costs. The site manager Troy, was also extremely helpful and worked with us to make sure we were happy with our home. We have had some issues with our cabinets, lots of missed paint touch ups, poor caulking/sealing around baseboards and other cracks, and small cracks/lines in the drywall. We have also had some minor electrical issues, but those were easily repaired. Some of these are likely due to replacement after the water issue and probably not what would be normal in a regular build. That being said, given the price we paid it definitely felt like a lot of these issues should have been addressed. I would describe the quality overall as really good on the big stuff, but some corners were cut or the job was just done too quickly on the small things. Thankfully, we haven't run into anything that cant be fixed, and the warranty team, Marc, has been really great at getting things done. Probably the worst part in dealing with Centex has been their contractors using our water and putting trash on our property while building other homes in the neighborhood. I have had paint splashed on my exterior walls from their painters washing out paint with my spigot. However, that wouldn't be a concern if the homes near us were built already. Despite some of these negatives, I have already recommended a Centex home to a friend who is buying one and I would recommend their homes to others. So our sales experience was amazing. The rep was personable. However, the build process is where we had lots of difficulties. Centex clearly contract workers that do not share their vision. There are just too many things that have to be fixed up to and even well after closing. This was not a good experience.

We closed on our new home Mid-December. We still have 2 repairs still not completed. A cracked bathroom cabinet frame due to sink installer damaging it. And a 3rd bathroom fiberglass shower surround that has major damage to it which we discovered post-closing. It should have never been installed, or the installer damaged it. We reported it to customer service within 30 days post close and now a month later it is still not replaced. This is a major defect and has caused our family undue distress and taken away the joy of buying a new home. Very frustrated and dissatisfied.

They work with me really well. I really love my house.

Very poor response to problems. I recommend that anyone purchasing a home, even brand new ones, hire their own inspector before signing any papers. Example foul odors.

Centex Homes proved I made the right choice! From the initial greeting and assistant provided in the model center with Mark; to the on-site construction manager Steve being accommodating and thorough in his quality checks; to Brittany provide her customer service that was kind and responsive; the entire process was a breeze. On celebration day, I was welcomed with a literal red carpet and a welcome home sign on “Celebration Day” (closing day) that solidified that I made the right choice. Thank you for such a smooth experience and beautiful new home!

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt I should for this experience. As a first time home buyer, I didn’t know what to expect. I would visit my home every couple of weeks to check the progress and in doing so I noticed some things. First, there was a bottle of pee in one of the bedrooms that spilled over before the carpet was put in. So who knows if it was cleaned properly. Second, there was toilet paper in the guest bathroom as if they were using the toilets instead of the portable restroom right outside my home. As we expressed our concerns during the walk through, we received a lot of back talk from the builder instead of assurance that our dislikes would be taken care of. Very unprofessional. After moving in, I noticed my microwave had been used since there was food crumbs inside. I was told cleaners would come before moving in, but I don’t know what they actually cleaned. The process for requesting things to be fixed after moving in has been smooth, and I wish I could have received this customer service before moving in too. Mark P. was our advisor he walk me through everything and explained how everything worked. Chris was the warranty person and explained the warranty on everything. Not only did they help with the purchase they still keep in contact to make sure you are happy with everything in your new home. Highly recommend.

Awesome service from beginning to end

No really good experience during all process, quality and termination of the house was a battle

Communication wasn’t great with anybody from sales to trades

The model of the home I truly like, however, the home was just thrown together just to pease me. The home was support to been deliver to me on Dec 7, well it was pushed out due to material was not ordered. I feel like once they received the material they was on a time crunch which made them throw the house together and not looking out for the well being of the buyer. all cheap material has been placed in the homes and the buyer has spent all of they life saving to buy a quality home which was not delivered. And now we have to replace things. I'm not happy with this builder at all.

This had been a experience of a life time it was good when the building process was taking place but after you close and receive those keys that’s when your problems start the warranty part is the worst experience. And I do understand that things happen but I’ve been aiver a month and have had nothing but problem with the warranty department they STINK

There is a delay in resolving the issues and also the house was not completed at the time of closing

Buying experience was great, sales persons was awesome but had 2 major plumbing issue 2nd day we moved in. Material Quality is not as good as we expected but plan is great.

All those involved from sales to mortgage app ro warranty work have been very helpful. It made the whole buying experience easy and less stressful. There are a few things that would make the home a little more people ready such as towel in bathrooms and USB outlets in some locations. I can't imagine this costing more than a few hundred dollars.

Paint everywhere in the home. Floorboards are always coming up. Standing water in backyard. Uneven structures inside home.

We recently purchased a new Centex home and everyone from the sales lady to the closing agent could not have been more pleasant and professional to work with. We were guided through the buying process with detailed instructions online and over the phone. Thanks to everyone for making it a good experience for us.

This is the first newly built house for my wife and I and we could not be happier with the construction and quality of the home. This home is built to last and uphold its value over the long term. Working with the Field service team has been a pleasant experience and we are very satisfied with their attention to detail.

Satisfactory, but not great experience.
