Quality of materials used is horrible. I have cracking of interior paint on my walls throughout the home. Mixing valve in my master shower was faulty, therefore there was no cold water to the shower. Only scalding hot water. First week into the home and already had a massive hole in my master bedroom wall to have the shower mixing valve replaced. Gaps in the exterior siding is not caulked. The landscaper laid my sod with 4”-5” rocks underneath. The quality of the home compared to the price you pay is unbelievable. From the moment I signed the buyer’s agreement, the Pulte/Centex team kept me in the loop of the progress and everything that was going on with my home and the building process. Kayla provided me with detailed weekly updates and was always there whenever I had any questions. Towards the end I met the construction manager, Colton, and I was in contact with him pretty much daily up until the closing date. My satisfaction and happiness were extremely important to them and any issues I had were solved very quickly. Even after closing the team has been supportive and have been checking in and solving any issues I’ve come across. Pulte/Centex are quality builders who make the home buying process as easy and painless as possible. I would recommend them to anybody and would absolutely buy from them again in the future. ... I will start this by saying that I am well aware these are spec homes, however the price of the homes in my area are $400k+. I had multiple issues with the home and still do. So much so that to have all the poor craftsmanship fixed would be impractical because it would require my family to leave while they sanded every poor drywall seam. The crews they use do not care about quality and it shows. These homes are rushed and the work done is sloppy. I moved from a 20+ year old home that was in better shape than my brand new home. From paint on the new floors around the base trim, to carpet, to trim work, and drywall imperfections, my home is overall far from a quality home. Did they address the bigger issues?, sure, but in order to address all the “fit and finish” details that make a quality home, it would require someone being in my house for weeks on end to resolve all the issues. I pretty much gave up as the frustration grew into all the issues that I keep discovering. I moved in and had someone in my home several days a week for almost a month. Completely ridiculous. I suspect this review won’t matter much because it’s obvious the number one goal for them is to build houses rapidly to make as much $$ as possible, and to not actually build the quality homes they promise. Closing was put off because u didn’t have all documents ready. Also repair issues no one showing up and taking care of issued

Though initial days building construction was slow due to inspection failures, Builder Carter took care of the delay once received Inspection Pass from officials... It was an unbelievable situation to possible delivery situation by his seriousness. Finally, Home delivered with Good Quality and I am very happy and satisfied with his work.

I always said I would never purchase a centex home. I should have stuck to what I said. Worst experience ever!!!

$460,000 home that doesn’t come with quality product and material. When I breathe on the flat paint walls it leaves a mark, the applicances are quite literally the cheapest things you can buy on the market. Even the primary shower is a built in you don’t even get a nice tile shower. The $460,000 primary closet is 3 metal racks… HVAC unit runs only on Emergency heat if it’s cold out and the small single unit cannot even heat the downstairs and upstairs at the same time you have to choose which floor you want heated and turn off the other. $460,000 house doesn’t come with a single cabinet handle anywhere in the home and not a single blind. The second story creeks like it’s going to fall through the ceiling when you walk around the guest bedroom. Overall one of the cheapest looking and feeling homes I’ve ever purchased. ... More

Many problems. Workmanship is poor. The overuse of caulk to hide cracks, gaps and repairs. One trade comes in and ruins the work of others. Windows, countertops, flooring, stove and doors scratched. Marginal material quality. Nail pops in drywall. Builder pushes to close prior to fixing issues and telling you they will fix it after closing. Paint went on where it shouldn’t and where it should go on it was insufficient. In some cases, It takes the trades 3 or 4 times to make it right. It has been a month since closing and still finding issues. This has not been a good experience.

Keren (sales manager ) is so good at proving the updates and follow ups Anu - loan office manager , I was tired with submittting several documents , Ani is so kind and helpful in documentation process , she explained why the documents are necessary for processing Ali - builder , happpy to work with her again , she is friendly and pointed several cosmetics while closure which I can’t see , also she helped in fixing few minor thing as well . Great to work with above ladies Note : Centex homes quality may be needs to improve mainly the doors across all over the house

The quality is horrendous. Paint runs everywhere. Things we blue taped to be fixed were not done we were even told by the build that he watched the painters take off blue tape and do nothing. Missing flooring, missing caulking, hole in the pantry, stains on the carpet. Yard looks like crap looks like they threw it together in an hour which they did on the day of closing. Patio has line where they left a hose when it was drying. Trash everywhere in the yard from the trades working on other houses. Sharp Nails sticking out on hand rails on stairs (they finally fixed)and filled the holes with white caulking but still haven’t stained. Staining on door looks like crap there were runs all over and I pointed them out and instead of sanding them out they just put another coat and you still see it all. I had never heard of Centex until a colleague shared them with me and they build beautiful homes with floor plans that make sense. Their floor plans are functional, open and well thought out. I would certainly build with them again.

Pulte Centex group has helped in every possible step. They have great team; who understands the needs and provides suggestions at every steps. Very happy to be the first time home owner with this group

This is our first home and happy with the output.

Definitely builder grade. No sound proofing at all. Insulation is sub par. I can hear a person sigh in the next room. The use of flat paint is standard but it shows every mark, hand touch etc. The carpet and padding is sad and low quality. The land grading and drainage is actually horrible. Landscaping is a joke. But the price was fair in this market. I could have gone somewhere else but needed a ranch with decent sq footage. And the people at Centex were super nice. Note that Pulte Mortgage will not service your loan and they sell it to Fannie Mae who gives it to Loan Care who is one of the worst in the industry, according to all I read. ... More

Really nice experience, getting to see the house being built from the ground up!

The steps to buy the new home was great. We had a amazing team help us get to the finish line… The workmanship in other hand has not been good. Everything from leaks, issues with home heating, doors not securing right, cracks in tiles, cracked cocking, and more. When you make a request for service they have just one person working them and to get things fixed seen not to be important and you are left waiting for calls or a email and even service not showing up for appointment. And to top it off you’re told “this is what you signed for at walk through” PLEASE FIX THE SERVICE REQUEST ISSUES. ... More

Appointments for electricians made twice. Both times subcontractor failed to come to home to fix electrical issues. Third appointment is next week. No confidence electrician will show up. Centex warranty program is empty words thus far.

The buying experience was great

I feel like the trades people they hire take no pride in their work, many things had to be done multiple times to just pass our basic acceptance level. Many many issues too many to list here, I would not recommend.

Few problem found. It was on the inspection report, but not fixed.

Loved my whole experience! My salesperson, Bernar, was and is AMAZING! If I had any questions during the process and even now I’ll text him questions and he replies immediately. Even whilst he was on vacation! Pulte/Centex you have a winner with Bernar. My construction managers were great too. One was out of town with an emergency and one of his colleagues stepped right in to help. If I had any issues they were addressed quick. I’ve been in my home now for three months and absolutely love it. I’m so glad I went with you instead of Lennar. I’ve had a couple things come up, and they have scheduled them right away. Quicker response time to issues would’ve made experience easier.

Overall a good experience. Jarrod and Izzy were very attentive and respectful. Gave very insightful information about my first home and made it well worth the wait. Had a few issues but they were quick to resolve them. Couldn't have asked for better service. Thank you to those two Gentleman & Centex for providing top notch service. Would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Super rushed thru the closing. Numerous issues to be addressed. Virtually no communication even though I was promised to be kept updated. 2 months after closing & still issues unaddressed that were to be fixed/etc before or very shortly after closing. Even was given a certificate of occupancy despite the heat not working. Too many houses, too few ppl for the workload, too focused on only money, and the laborers' work is neither inspected nor up to par for new construction in that price range.
