Wish they were more honest

Still have several open issues 45 days after close. I believe that all my open issues will be address eventually

Horrible. Nothing completed . Missing things. Was told will put in workorders. Made appointments. Never showed..

The whole process from start moved along very smoothly

Since the pre-closing walkthrough, I noticed a lot of items were really low quality and very poor workmanship. I addressed those items, specifically the carpet and carpets padding and the wood strip that keeps it affixed to the corners. Nails were sticking out around the edges, making it a hazard for residents walking barefooted in their own home. I brought up the concern very clearly but nothing was done about that. The toilets installed in this properties are a joke. The amount of water dispensed with each flush is DEFINITELY insufficient to flush normal levels of waste, let alone any minimal amount.of toilet Tissue. Addressed issue with builder but attendant proactively shifted blame to homebuyer/occupant. Builder personnel did not even have the courtesy to warn new home owners not to flush any toilet tissue at all. Had another issue with their landscaping company, on the irrigation system and it has been 2 weeks since notifying them of the issue and they have not addressed yet. Purchased a home from Pulte/Centex - 4 months before closing. Craftsmanship was poor in multiple areas at “final walkthrough”. I feel the house should be completely finished with all errors corrected before “final” review. However, 100+ pieces of blue tape were everywhere with defects in cabinetry, warped walls, etc. We were given the “official” closing date 7 days prior to signing documents and receiving keys (moving from 3 hours away with moving trucks). Work to fix all errors didn’t occur in time which caused a chaotic mess and delayed closing. Of course we had our 2 children and full trucks anticipating moving in. I escalated concerns to the corporate office which informed us they would reach out and reimburse us for hotels, moving and other expenses incurred from the official closing date given to us until move in (delayed 5-7 days). Of course, we never heard from him again & ate the costs of Pulte’s error for storage & hotels. To be honest, the 15 days leading to us physically moving was a total nightmare. Our Florida dream home purchase and building process was very good and smooth experience design, construction, quality meet all our expectations, professional team with perfect building method and cooperation, recommended very well

I had high hopes for my new home purchase but have identified several areas where Centex cut corners. The paint feels like chalk and there are areas in the construction where they attempted to 'fill in' chipped drywall with plaster and it is very noticeable. Not to mention the fact that the floor on the 2nd level squeaks in multiple rooms. I submitted a service request 1 week ago mentioning these issues (and others) and still no response from the builder. Bummer

It was my first home buying experience. Though I was new to this, centex personnel has provided all the info and education regarding home buying. I suggest all the new buyers to trust centex in home buying.

The experience was pain free and the home was everything I hoped for

Poor Craftsmanship, Builder trying to cost save on items that were utterly ridiculous, Response time with and electrical issue was poor, Concrete work sucks, Inside bath and electrical fixtures are poor, unpainted garage without opener is cheap to say the least, Paint specs all over the floors and carpet were just a sign of non-caring and untidy painters, Kitchen cabinetry is cheap and footboard came off, outside fence was coming apart due to missing the nailing to the cross boards, Small crack in bathtub but not worth tearing apart bathroom to replace it, Pad outside back door barley is bi enough for one person, If you ask for a repair the repairman breaks something else in the process, The trash that i pick up on my morning walks is ridiculous and mostly from contractors, all the concrete Curbings are gouged from the Uniloader operator throughout the neighborhood, Irrigation contractor that are installing irrigation on the non-buildable corner lots leave huge rocks in the middle of the street after departing for the day, No ceiling fans in master bedroom and Livingroom, Elongated toilet in master bath but in guest bath regular style toilet, paint being used for pantry and closet shelves still isn't fully cured after 2 months so everything we put on the shelves sticks to them And this is not everything that is wrong with this cheaply constructed track home!!!!!!!1 ... Overall, we have had a great experience! We enjoy our home, the location, and the amenities, such as a park and walking trails. All of the Centex employees have been wonderful to deal with. However, we are disappointed in the number of large property management companies who have been allowed to buy up the entire neighborhood. Unfortunately, this means we do not have long-term families in the neighborhood. Hopefully, centex will consider families when selling the homes that remain unsold.

Overall was a smooth and easy experience take this from a first time home buyer, I thought I would have lost my mind but I did it without a drop of sweat . The home is in great shape and everything is working well.

As a first time homebuyer who had been searching for a couple or years, it was refreshing to see a builder that took the time to keep us updated and take care of us. We were made aware of what was going on, every step of the way. And due to the market declining, they even gave us a discount! I don't think I've ever heard of another builder doing so. It was very much appreciated! I understand this area is not as high demand, and profits needs to be made, but it would be nice to have a small park or community area. There's still plenty of land left to do so. I feel it would definitely bring people in, vs the other neighborhoods around us. I also understand that cuts had to be made and supply chain issues are still very much there. But it would have been nice to have more options on the materials used, or the appliances. I wouldn't have mjnded paying for higher quality items. Hopefully now that things have calmed down, they will go back to that. Other than that, I don't have any more complaints. Still have pending items that weren't completed at closing. Have scheduled contractors but no one ever shows up. The one contractor that did show up didn't call ahead and so we werent ready for them that day. Have been changed to 3 different reps in 1 month. This is a bit insane, slightly unethical, and I wish someone would step up and take responsibility for the fact that our supervisor was fired the week we closed, we have unfinished work all over, and no one has been a leader to follow through with the commitment to complete these items in a few weeks.
