Excellent communication at all Level

I wish we had the availability to wait on closing until all the issues were addressed but it would have taken too long. There have been a mix of bigger issues, minor mistakes and comical overlooks. Since the first rain storm, I’ve been vocal about insufficient drainage with no response. Exteriors issues with siding and windows. We found a roll of sheet vinyl tucked away with our ac unit. Daily reminders and concerns for a new build.

Great service with nice attitude!

The day we stepped into a centex home being built was the day we decided we wanted one. Couple things I love about my home would be the 2.5 car garage,I can park my lifted truck and still have plenty of room for another vehicle and projects. I also love the backyard. My two dogs have tons of room to run out their zoomies!

My kitchen came with all the bells I can't believe how beautiful my kitchen looks. I have all the modern upgrades that I didn't even know came with the kitchen. I have self closing cabinets and drawers, the sink turns on and off with a wave of your hand, granite countertops, and huge stove. I must say the kitchen is my favorite place in the home along with my sunroom which is absolutely beautiful. All the sunlight that comes in warms my room and my dogs love it too.

It is good but the quality of the material is not good the paint they used the composite walls they come off

We had a fantastic experience from the pre-approval process all the way through closing.

I have been living in my new home for over a month now and it has been great, no issues. I also have had a few upgrades and that’s when you start to uncover issues but no issues found. I did contact the warranty service once when trying to add smart thermostats and they had someone over the next day to do the work. Overall, a great first home buying experience. If I every had to buy a house again I wouldn’t mind another Centex home.

Would have been nice if the closing company worked with us better on closing dates

This was our first home purchase/new build and we couldn't be happier with it! My only complaint is that the interior paint stains easily and has to be retouched as cleaning it removes the paint.

The whole process was easy to communicate and they tried their up most best to make things 100 right , very helpful and honest.

Everything went so smoothly with our home purchase. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Skylar and Jake were both fantastic and helpful through out the whole process.

Although we did need to select a number of upgrades to get just the home we wanted, the finished product is wonderful. We're very pleased with it.

construction materials of very low quality and very poorly built with many defects and very slow to fix what was wrong

The attention to detail throughout the house was disappointing. The door frames, baseboards & trim, backsplash, electrical outlets, drywall around windows are not quality work and appliances were damaged when installed by builder. The trim around interior doors is separating, there are dings and painted over damaged areas in the baseboard trim throughout the house, electrical outlets are not flush with the walls in many areas, drywall and paint around window frames is damaged. Expected a lot more attention to detail.

This is my third brand new home I purchased and the manner in which this brand new home was turned over to me after closing is not acceptable. Absolutely sub par. Minor issues arise and that is understandable but we are currently dealing with MAJOR issues with my home which the building manager has a rebuttal for each issue we present. Construction is not my profession so when Dennis, the building manager has a solution to our issues it involves manual labor on our part. During the building process, while giving himself kudos and accolades on his experience and expertise, he mentioned on occasion that his workers dont know how to measure well and do not know what they are doing. We see why now and if that is the case, he should be watching his workers closer. Currently we are dealing with a framing issue with a 4 inch discrepancy, exposed nails in stairs and flooring, debris left under padding of carpet, thin carpet padding pointed out by contractor, ill-fitted doors/door frames, no heating cooling going to downstairs, ill-fitted lighting fixtures, incomplete/non-existing weather stripping, front door turn-lock ill-fitted, debris and trash with exposed nails and trash including beer cans left in backyard, excess trash and insulation left in furnace, exposed glue on laminate and a host of other problems and issues including unnecessary caulking just to pass inspection. 2 stars are given for responsiveness to some of our issues but when contractors arrive, they are baffled by the workmanship and cannot complete some work because the issue runs deeper. Current problem has to be addressed by higher ups on possible next steps due to no easy fix. It’s frustrating and unfortunate to deal with such problems from a new build. ... More

Dan (builder) was attentive to our questions and concerns. He did his best to resolve our concerns. All of our 30 day repairs/ concerns were addressed. Although the scheduling for the 30 day repairs was below par. A week Into us being moved in, frontier ran fiber optic lines throughout the neighborhood and busted our plumbing line. The repair was made in a reasonable amount of time. We did have to leave our house during repairs but Pulte covered hotel and food costs. We are upset with the mismatched concrete on our driveway from the repairs made. We were not the only house affected from the damage however we were the only house to get our driveway ripped up. That they are dependable and have great customer service

Centex is a decent track home builder. We loved working with Melissa in the sales office. Brett the superintendent was nice and helpful. It was a little disconcerting that he didn't have the items from our home inspection fixed before our walk, but it appears he was able to get them fixed before we closed. Overall we love our new home; however, using their lender was a total nightmare! Don't let them talk you into, or let them pressure you into using their lender. Pulte Mortgage is horrible!!! To say Pulte Mortgage is slow, and non responsive, it an understatement! It's almost impossible to get a live person to answer the phone. If you are able to actually talk to one they don't have answers and don't call you back. Pulte reps took on average a week to respond to emails and to voicemails, They took almost a month to even get a yes or no and not till I told them if I didn't have an answer by the end of the day I was not going to use them and because they were so horrible I wouldn't be purchasing the Centex Home ether. I was told by Centex that if I used Pulte Mortgage the process would go quicker and be smoother, definitely not true! As a note I had a pre approval with guaranteed close from another lender (who also offered to match the incentives from Centex & Pulte Mortgage). I should have used my lender... It is a responsible, efficient team committed to the client, they respond promptly and are willing to help when needed!

30 days after you move, everything changes. There may still be things to fix but you are forgotten about. Everyone becomes less responsive. Until you get nothing. I not talking 3-6 months. I’m talking 31-45 days.

Sales experience was great. We were told many things by our salesperson. Only a few of those things were honored by the builder. I did not appreciate the initial price hike for my house that happened simply because 2 lots were sold before my salesperson delivered my contract. My price was increased $8 000 per sold lot for a total of $16,000 in those 2 days. The workmanship was questionable from the time they started the frame. There were crooked support beams under window frames, crooked window & door frames. Studs had pieces of wood missing from them, because they are glued together to create the desired length. The field manager caught most of the issues, but I caught a lot. The builder hires contractors who hire subcontractors and no one seems to actually work directly for the builder. This may be normal, but in my opinion it lessens the quality., and the end result shows it. Everything from the drywall work to the paint to the landscaping to the garage door installation was poorly completed and in some areas actual damage was done by the installers and the installers admitted it was intentional. There are drainage issues throughout the development because the land grading was not done correctly. This is from my neighbors testimony and my personal experience. My experience with the builders customer service for after closing issues on the home is they are only there to save the builder from liability exposure; not to actually help the homeowner. If you don't have physical evidence that it is the builder's responsibility,, like photographs or video, the builder will not fix it. ... More
