This is a great starter home but they do cheap out on materials. For instance, they use plastic nozzles and valves for the water line for fridge, washer/dryer, toilet shut off and under the sinks. So its more likely to wear and break easier. The workmanship on the baseboards and trims are questionable. Builder was very helpful in the beginning but also will just say things and not follow through. So that is frustrating.

Pay attention to details

The warranty callout for a badly installed vinyl floor took so long and after they eventually secured and got me waiting for a whole day, no one showed up or even called back. I had to put in another ticket. Not sure how they will respond on more serious issues if they took this long to work on this minor issue.

My buying experience was excellent, Not impressed with the quality of building materials, appears to be a rush job in so many areas from pouring of cement to inside walls, a little touch on walls it smudges,outside light above garage continues to be loose have shown it to the young lady 2X,huge hunks of rocks were all over yard. Overall just a rush job to get these homes on the market.

The steps to buy the new home was great. We had a amazing team help us get to the finish line… The workmanship in other hand has not been good. Everything from leaks, issues with home heating, doors not securing right, cracks in tiles, cracked cocking, and more. When you make a request for service they have just one person working them and to get things fixed seen not to be important and you are left waiting for calls or a email and even service not showing up for appointment. The buying experience was great

Too many details weren’t finished before the closing like downstairs bath vent, wall, cabinets, power in certain rooms, etx

Overall the house is great. My only issue was been the quality on two parts of the house, the first and main one is the fence, its cleary visible they just rushed to put up a fence, its not aligned straight at all, its obvious they used the cheapest materials they got their hands on and to top it off the corner of my fence just pops open its easily one of the worst built fence I have seen and im not the only who thinks that because the neighbors have expressed the same. The second is the grass same with the fence just seemed to be rushed. Another issue I have had was to get any response time to resolve issues I have had at my home, I been there almost two months and I have yet to get anybody to fix the flooring and garage wall issues that I have reported since the moment we moved in, my wife has taken off 3 days because they only tell me they will go and they never do, I have called again and asked for a date that they can assure me they will come and get fixed and I get told they cannot give a certain date. Overall the home is great but they cut alot of corners that I didn't notice until I fully moved in. Some things I'm already have to call warranty on less than 30 days in my home.

I regret buying not learning more about the builder before buying the house. Regrettably, I was rushed into buying it and now regret not taking more time to decide. The workmanship of the house is awful, it was built very fast and it shows. I would have been better off going with a better builder and spending more money because now I’m spending more money to repair bad workmanship. Biggest regret of my life.

Make sure you getting a private home inspector. Triple check everything. Electrical outlets, door fitment, non level window sils and valances, paint, trim work ondition. Too much to mention. Rather disappointed for price we paid.

The home buying experience in its self was great. Now that I’m in the home and finding things that are just unacceptable on the workmanship end. Then there is the hassle of getting these items fixed.

House was super dirty and paint was in a lot of my carpet they didn’t even clean. My bath tube is turning pink with 3 week use. Had to claim warranty to get trim and Cabinet fix and I shouldn’t have to do this on my first month move in. I had to walk the house 3 time with Lily and still didn’t get anything fix I don’t know why she wast my time and now I still have to get warranty to come out to fix it.

I don't know if this is an ongoing issue with new constructions, but the quality of the work is mediocre, bordering on terrible. I will have a lot of issues with the warranty company.

Not happy with the responses to issues that I have had since moving into my home

Michael our sales agent was awesome. He was very attentive. He was always available to answer any of my questions or concerns. He was very knowledgeable about the process of if paper work or anything else I had questions about. As for the warranty issues the service is very poor, the walk through was only done with Joe not David. I am very disappointed with area. Many things that I asked to have done before I moved in were not done. If anyone would to call me , I would be happy to go over the whole CD process.

The process of building our home was so smooth, if we ever had any request they would respond and act of them fast. they made sure we were happy with how our home was being built and they explained the whole process. They also completed it in the timeline they had told us. Really pleased with the whole process and Home.

My Centex Sales Associate Chance was WONDERFUL, I can’t sing his praises loud enough. No matter my questions, he always made time for me. Andrew our project manager was wonderful. Closing - we almost did not close on time due to the fact that I could not get in touch with the closing agent. Why…..BECAUSE THEY WERE MOVING INTO THEIR NEW OFFICE!!!! Poor poor poor excuse. I called Chance, and he was able to get SOMEONE TO CALL ME BACK!!! It was very easy and promising purchase. After my walk-through the house prior to closing. lots of things was supposed to be fixed. I was promised to have All done by the day of my closing. I was pushed to close on my house before visually I experience that really everything is done on my house. I paid for my house I close on it, but I was very disappointed once I found out that All project not done as promised to me. It’s been over a month when I close on the house no one fixed anything or contact me to do anything on my house all the cabinet doors needs to be replaced they all have gaps and seems that’s the major thing and the kitchen, which is very important for me because that’s the heart of the house. Another thing is that French door is off the hinge. Outside elevation needs to be fixed. No one respond to that either. I’m very disappointed with the quality of the house . My house is located at across the street From warranty department people. Which is very close and very convenient for them to approach all the items that need to be fixed. People ar Centex are very nice. The contractors they hire are junk. Only lived in my house for a month and a half and had the A/C people out 3 different times. There is no quality control. A/C drain lines were run backwards. Also have bad the electrical out once to change breakers because they said they are bad out of the box. Don't believe it but time will tell. Again quality sucks. Now I have a water leak and now will have water damage. Poor, poor ,poor quality. They just want your money.

I will start this by saying that I am well aware these are spec homes, however the price of the homes in my area are $400k+. I had multiple issues with the home and still do. So much so that to have all the poor craftsmanship fixed would be impractical because it would require my family to leave while they sanded every poor drywall seam. The crews they use do not care about quality and it shows. These homes are rushed and the work done is sloppy. I moved from a 20+ year old home that was in better shape than my brand new home. From paint on the new floors around the base trim, to carpet, to trim work, and drywall imperfections, my home is overall far from a quality home. Did they address the bigger issues?, sure, but in order to address all the “fit and finish” details that make a quality home, it would require someone being in my house for weeks on end to resolve all the issues. I pretty much gave up as the frustration grew into all the issues that I keep discovering. I moved in and had someone in my home several days a week for almost a month. Completely ridiculous. I suspect this review won’t matter much because it’s obvious the number one goal for them is to build houses rapidly to make as much $$ as possible, and to not actually build the quality homes they promise. I had bought this home oct 2022 I done my walk through and placed tape on reasonable areas that needed touch up but by that time My wife and I just had our second child and was in a rush to get back to my in-laws and I was trusting that all of it were to be taken care of .. well after we moved inALMOST every single tape I placed was removed and had not been corrected. some tape was left. kinda disappointed just need someone to come by and correct it. paying for a home in this market was expecting some quality work, my kitchen faucet was installed and used it about 10 times the first week became loose, couldn’t figure out why the Heater was kicking on, they left it off. drywall repair, landscape repair still needs to be done I’ve contacted twice now for landscape because no gutters are installed and water puddles doesn’t channel properly to the drain sites in the back yard, just clay mud and fear of moisture getting under the house, and when it rained hard water was splashing and stained the stucco with mud. I’ve found pieces of electric wire, in the back yard and front, I’ve found cabinets in the kitchen that have chunks missing and someone just colored it in. cabinets have caulk cement on some kick boards. I’m not happy because they made you feel like it could’ve been done correctly and efficiently. ... More

If the contractors would do things right the first time and cared about their work then you would get fives all across So many things wrong in my house and it's always a promise coming next week next week never happens It should of been done right the first time I understand things are going to happen, leaving a big drywall hole behind my pedistql sink what a joke so many mess up

Working with centex was enjoyable and easy . Kerri kept us updated throught every step. Everything was going smoothly until closing. The house wasn't ready we were pushed to close. Then all the promises to fix the issues after close were made and have not been followed through on. I would recommend to anyone thinking about buying from centex or pulte homes make sure that your new home is 100% complete before you close. Do not accept any promise to complete. They are extremely busy and once you sign those papers you fall to the back burner. Not something anyone should have to deal with when buying a new home. ... More

The sales experience was great. The craftsmanship of the home and turn around time to fix things are horrible. I moved in to my new home in September and it is now November. With in this time period I have had electrical and plumbing issues. Cracked kitchen cabinets that still are not fixed and most recently my garage collapsed and almost smashed my wife’s car as she was casually leaving the house.
