Centex was great to work with throughout the home construction and purchasing process. We love our new home and many of the features are excellent. We would have liked to have other options for some of the finishes (faucets, lights, etc.), and we never received a paint touch up kit which we were told was something everyone would be given. We were also given a tree in our backyard that began to die and lose its leaves within two days of its installation, although there is a chance it will come back in the spring. There was also a short delay in our keys being provided to us on our closing day. These issues aside, everything else about the process went very well, and everyone we encountered that worked for Centex was kind and helpful. Our home is beautiful and comfortable. Centex was really good with their details on the home and communicating was smooth!

It takes forever with repeated calls to get issues addressed

There were some details on the final constructions that was requested to correct, there was hesitation from superintendent to correct them until management was involved. All concerns were corrected.

Home is good but having some issues with the brand new appliance (washer)

Everything about my build was AWESOME! I loved every step, right up until the end. I went in to do some tape for drywall issues and then again... And again. Closed on the house and that afternoon drywallers came back because they missed spots that I had taped 10 times before. I talked with my neighbors and all of them seem to have the same feelings that the drywall is poor quality. I took one star off quality and value because of the poor drywall. The drywall is the finished surface indoors and seeing blemishes, bubbles, lines, divots, etc bring down the perceived value.

Centex provides good service when you reach out for any home defects. There will be flaws but its just something to monitor as time goes on.

I had a great experience - any issues I had during the build or after closing has been addressed.

We had several issues concerning our side & rear yards regarding the landscaping, drainage, etc. These issues go back to the week of March 13th, when we walked our property w/Justin since Chaz was out for Covid-19 quarantine. As of last week, we met w/Chaz & Baytree Landscaping & hope our yard issues can be resolved this week per Chaz & Baytree.

For a suburban home lot it isn't bad. I cant help but think could could more out of my money by just custom building slightly further out of town. It is a tract home so quality is pretty good for the most part but there Is definitely signs of going fast. They did a decent job for drainage on the whole community but they should have still put more thought into it because they definitely went the cheap route.

The experience buying the house was smooth and people helped a lot to make the experience pleasant. The House looks good outside and inside except the material used for walls seem to be lacking in the sense that it's not strong enough. Realized that after moving in .When dining chair touches the wall or if someone lean towards the wall with the dining chair, the wall start having some traces of material coming off etc... There's no sound proof. I could hear people talking in the living while I upstairs in my room with door closed.

We were very excited to move into our house. Everything looked great. Now that we’ve been here for 2 months we are starting to notice some little problems. Drywall finished have a lot of imperfections. Doors are rubbing in different areas. Range and washer were not installed correctly. We know that fixtures and appliances are bought in bulk, maybe a slightly higher quality should be installed. At some point every faucet will need to be replaced.

So far it has been a great expirience, still knowing and getting familiar with the house and neighborhood

The honebuying experience was ok. I like the ones stop shop experience. So far everything is good. A few issues with some electrical issues ...a few other things but OK.

I dealt with Pulte Mortgage and bought a Centex home. Con: the two companies (two parts of the same company?) do not communicate with each other very well resulting in miscommunication to me. Pulte, within weeks of closing, sold my mortgage creating confusion as to whom and when to make monthly payments. Pro: The home itself is structurally sound, had minor defects which were corrected. The home warranty service appears to be adequate. I called once and the response was satisfactory. Jeff, the construction representative, was informative and helpful. I was not involved in the design process. I purchased a move-in ready home. He worked with my home inspector to ensure items on the inspection list were dealt with. ... More

All staff have been very nice. I find the craftsmanship of the home to be lacking. It’s the fine details. My ceiling is crooked. The exhaust vents in the bathrooms were installed very loose. The chalking all around the house just looks like a child laid it. The flooring adhesive is all over the place. There’s more but I’m done for now.

It’s a beautiful home Home buying process was smooth But mortgage team was not easy to work with

We have a scheduled closing date but when we arrive we were told that it was change which wasted our time. Also, they keep changing the dates coz meter still not installed. We ended up paying extra cash on the date we close which was unsatisfactory.

Overall nice home, but in the end the home was rushed so the builder could meet the closing date, I feel that a lot of details was missed and skipped because of the rushing to finish toward the end. We would have been happy to move back the closing date in order to have it done correctly. There are several things were are doing ourselves because the response to issues has been non existent.

I am already having issues with the garage.

My experience with Centex was better than most due to Kim & Travis. Kim, my sales person was exceptional. She was very professional & went out of her way to help me bring this to fruition. Travis, my point person for the building of the home went above and beyond to correct any issues with the home. He truly wanted us to be happy with our home. I would give them both 5 stars if that was an option. The reason "Trustworthiness" got only 1 star is because one of the sales supervisors for Sanctuary Cove tried to cancel my ratified contract prior to the expiration date of the contract which was quite shocking and upsetting. With regards to workmanship, It was disappointing to realize Centex does not finish the walls in the garage; and I don't mean painting. The homeowner has to first spackle & sand the seams to finish the walls if they want to paint the garage. Centex also disappointingly installs smaller interior doors than most builders and the quartz for the kitchen counter tops is very thin. They provide no towel bars, toilet paper holders and there are no knobs on the kitchen or bathroom cabinets. Most would not consider these things as "upgrades" but rather standard items. Centex also installs their sod right up to the house instead of leaving a "bed" area around the home between the sod/lawn and the foundation. Centex might consider either just increasing the price of the home a little and provide these things or at least offer them as an option to the homeowner at an additional cost. What will it be next; homeowners will have to provide their own light bulbs and door knobs? The pandemic is over, the supply chain issues are no longer so maybe it's time to go back to the days of offering home buyers some options without having to go the route of a custom home. ... More

As a whole, our home buying and building experience was good and I feel like we got a good value on our home. Construction was quick, and the construction and sale people were responsive, kind, and very helpful. As a whole, the quality of the home is good. There are a lot of minor issues that have stemmed from poor subcontractors; i.e. plumbing fixtures loose, some even off-center, a lot of paint spots that needed another coat or touch up, issues with the flooring that could have been easily avoided, the cleaners were practically non-existent despite coming out twice (literally had to clean off dirt footprints off of a closet door). If you buy from Pulte/Centex, I would say in the end you'll likely end up with a home you love, but DEFINITELY get a pre-drywall and final general inspection if able in order to catch any issues that could be more problematic. ... It was easy processing For finances and home owners insurance . Wish needed more time for shopping other insurance companies to compare policy.
