We purchased a home that was already close to being finished so our experience is only on the back end. The staff as a whole are very good, friendly, and supportive. However the sub contractors they use to build their homes is poor; contractors they hire do not take pride in their work and it shows everywhere in the home. I understand it's a business so they try to find the cheapest contractor, but at some point there needs to be some venting for QA as the price we pay should reflect the quality of work which due to the people the hire to build the homes isn't there. Once again the staff is amazing, just the workers they hire is not good at all. Suggest buyers who plan to buy a home get one built from the ground up so they can monitor every single detail as the build is going up as buying a home halfway/at the finish line I wouldn't recommend. ... I have been in my home about a month and a half. The appliances came with it. Every time I use the dryer the breaker trips. I put in a service request and an electrical company called to tell me they can’t come til the 23rd of the month. So I am left with a new home with new appliances and I will have to got to the washeteria for the next to weeks. Totall UNACCEPTABLE, I am so upset and disappointed

The house is very nice and well priced. However, the quality of work is pretty poor. The concrete slab is uneven and there are lumps all over the down stairs floor. Large lumps, like you can see AND feel when you walk. Several of the baseboards are bowed in or out significantly enough to notice immediately, and all of the pre-wired fan switches are all not terminated correctly. One of the three-way switches had a hot leg on both ends and kept the wires in the ceiling live no matter the switch combination I tried. Fortunately I have electrical experience and didn't get shocked!

All new home buyers are encouraged to check on their new build, frequently, to ensure dates are met, promises are kept and things are on track to close as documented.

I was very pleased with overall home buying experience from sales to construction managers explaining everything in detail for the first time home buying experience. As we did the first walk through and now living in the house, there is a lot of spot where the finishing is not satisfactory overall but I will be filling work order soon to fix some of them. I would rate 3/5 for house itself and 4.5/5 for the buying experience.

Overall I had a positive experience in buying a home through Centex/Pulte. Our sales representative was very kind and helpful. We had a water intrusion event prior to closing and the team was very responsive and upfront with us. They also paid for all of the testing and remediation costs. The site manager Troy, was also extremely helpful and worked with us to make sure we were happy with our home. We have had some issues with our cabinets, lots of missed paint touch ups, poor caulking/sealing around baseboards and other cracks, and small cracks/lines in the drywall. We have also had some minor electrical issues, but those were easily repaired. Some of these are likely due to replacement after the water issue and probably not what would be normal in a regular build. That being said, given the price we paid it definitely felt like a lot of these issues should have been addressed. I would describe the quality overall as really good on the big stuff, but some corners were cut or the job was just done too quickly on the small things. Thankfully, we haven't run into anything that cant be fixed, and the warranty team, Marc, has been really great at getting things done. Probably the worst part in dealing with Centex has been their contractors using our water and putting trash on our property while building other homes in the neighborhood. I have had paint splashed on my exterior walls from their painters washing out paint with my spigot. However, that wouldn't be a concern if the homes near us were built already. Despite some of these negatives, I have already recommended a Centex home to a friend who is buying one and I would recommend their homes to others. There is a delay in resolving the issues and also the house was not completed at the time of closing

Make sure to check interior painted walls after we moved in we found several paint runs. Also check finish work in master shower by window

I have experienced good response from team. I think the company can improve the finishing details for walls and flooring.

Because of the market trend, although Centex reduced prices of the homes that were to be delivered in Dec 2022 but they also reduced the quality of the electronic items they gave us and looking at bathrooms, living room it tells me that they tried to do cost cutting in quite a few places. The Eletrical Range, Dishwasher thats given to us looks to be open box as they both have issues opening and closing doors/drawers and the logo is half cut.

Definitely builder grade. No sound proofing at all. Insulation is sub par. I can hear a person sigh in the next room. The use of flat paint is standard but it shows every mark, hand touch etc. The carpet and padding is sad and low quality. The land grading and drainage is actually horrible. Landscaping is a joke. But the price was fair in this market. I could have gone somewhere else but needed a ranch with decent sq footage. And the people at Centex were super nice. Note that Pulte Mortgage will not service your loan and they sell it to Fannie Mae who gives it to Loan Care who is one of the worst in the industry, according to all I read. ... More

Appointments for electricians made twice. Both times subcontractor failed to come to home to fix electrical issues. Third appointment is next week. No confidence electrician will show up. Centex warranty program is empty words thus far.

Few problem found. It was on the inspection report, but not fixed.

Centex builds a solid home with beautiful attributes but fails to "finish" their build with the polish that is needed to make a new home look and feel like a new home. We were told these are not custom-built homes but neither was the last new car I purchased which was delivered with all of its hardware attached, was shiny and new with no blemishes and didn't require dozens of technicians to repair build faults. For this reason, we feel their final workmanship and overall finish quality is unacceptable and leaves much to be desired. We will say they are very responsive to the many warranty issues; these same issues that should have been noticed and attended to by Centex prior to the home's sale. ... More

Overall, it was a good buying experience and up to this point the core structure/ home appears good but as we have settled in we have notice a lot of little things that your eyes aren't drawn to during walk throughs. Additionally, we continually voiced concern about the lawn and didn't get it fixed before hand, I think they honestly used a terrible and cheap lawn provider who didn't do a good job. Overall, felt the price was too high but that's probably a sign of the market and times. They were able to offer a last minute discount but in my opinion it was still overpriced from there but every house we looked at during that time was the same. ... More

We had a great experience. I wish the quality of workmanship was better. The field manager, Brandon, has been attentive and helpful through the whole process.

Overall, we have had a great experience! We enjoy our home, the location, and the amenities, such as a park and walking trails. All of the Centex employees have been wonderful to deal with. However, we are disappointed in the number of large property management companies who have been allowed to buy up the entire neighborhood. Unfortunately, this means we do not have long-term families in the neighborhood. Hopefully, centex will consider families when selling the homes that remain unsold.

Still have pending items that weren't completed at closing. Have scheduled contractors but no one ever shows up. The one contractor that did show up didn't call ahead and so we werent ready for them that day. Have been changed to 3 different reps in 1 month. This is a bit insane, slightly unethical, and I wish someone would step up and take responsibility for the fact that our supervisor was fired the week we closed, we have unfinished work all over, and no one has been a leader to follow through with the commitment to complete these items in a few weeks.

It seems in comparison to other new builds in the area, the house size/location is competitive but not the materials for the pricepoint. They cut corners in the finished product. I hope the 1-year warranty covers the finishing touches that were not done well. However, they did work with me and made closing dates very very flexible and were extremely communicative.

What I would say is to check EACH appliance to make sure it works. We purchased a washer and dryer, the dryer had the WRONG part hooked up so we had call them back out. The new oven didn't work over Thanksgiving, had to call for service and the ovens heating element WAS NOT plugged in. Had to use a roaster for our dinner for the holiday. But we will give 4 stars overall

My experience with the sales team and their preferred lender was absolutely excellent. Most of the issues we have experienced are on the construction side. Corners cut all over the place, some rooms had to be completely redone with carpet and trim, the final walkthrough process was high-pressure to get you to sign off that the house is 100% done even though there were plenty of glaring flaws to still fix. Please bring an inspector with you on your walkthroughs.

Nice home for the price

The overall homebuying experience was great. No complaints there. However, once I closed and moved in to my new home it was near impossible to get anyone on the phone that could actually resolve my issues. Then, the information that I did receive was insufficient or completely wrong. I have been in my home for 3 1/2 months and continue to receive the run around. Each representative I speak with passes the buck and no one seems to have the answers or want to assist. So, if you value a community with representatives that actually respond and care about your concerns, look elsewhere.

I had a perfect location and the price of the premium lot did not go up that much which I am thankful for. However, I'm a little disappointed that I didn't have much options to buy my dream style/design home, so I just kept my first priority which is the location. I appreciate the incentives which a lot of builder/lender have similar offer.
