Overall satisfactory

So far it has been a great expirience, still knowing and getting familiar with the house and neighborhood

The honebuying experience was ok. I like the ones stop shop experience. So far everything is good. A few issues with some electrical issues ...a few other things but OK.

good experience in buying process

I dealt with Pulte Mortgage and bought a Centex home. Con: the two companies (two parts of the same company?) do not communicate with each other very well resulting in miscommunication to me. Pulte, within weeks of closing, sold my mortgage creating confusion as to whom and when to make monthly payments. Pro: The home itself is structurally sound, had minor defects which were corrected. The home warranty service appears to be adequate. I called once and the response was satisfactory. Jeff, the construction representative, was informative and helpful. Sales experience with Ryan was great. Mortgage team was aggressive to the point of harassing and not competitive with offerings. Pulte/Centex contracts out the work to companies employing individuals that either lack craftmanship skills or have no pride in their work. ESPECIALLY the paver company, finish work, drywall work and the grading of property and the sod placement. The kitchen appliances are of horrible quality. Whirlpool Customer Service is horrible Site Manager Shawn and Warranty site contact Brittnay are quick to respond and genuinely seem to care.

The over all purchase was easy and seamless. They stayed in contact the entire time. There were a few issues that were found and micheal the project manager did help me. But the backyard was left a mess with trash from the builders. The grass that was placed in the front yard is patchy because the landscapers brought dead grass. I watered as much as I was supposed to. And paid someone to come flatten it so it would actually grow. There was no effort out in with that grass. Everything else was pretty good. It’s a good home overall.

Inspect your home way before you close, otherwise, I would buy from Centex again.

All new home buyers are encouraged to check on their new build, frequently, to ensure dates are met, promises are kept and things are on track to close as documented.

Overall, we have had a great experience! We enjoy our home, the location, and the amenities, such as a park and walking trails. All of the Centex employees have been wonderful to deal with. However, we are disappointed in the number of large property management companies who have been allowed to buy up the entire neighborhood. Unfortunately, this means we do not have long-term families in the neighborhood. Hopefully, centex will consider families when selling the homes that remain unsold.

It seems in comparison to other new builds in the area, the house size/location is competitive but not the materials for the pricepoint. They cut corners in the finished product. I hope the 1-year warranty covers the finishing touches that were not done well. However, they did work with me and made closing dates very very flexible and were extremely communicative.

What I would say is to check EACH appliance to make sure it works. We purchased a washer and dryer, the dryer had the WRONG part hooked up so we had call them back out. The new oven didn't work over Thanksgiving, had to call for service and the ovens heating element WAS NOT plugged in. Had to use a roaster for our dinner for the holiday. But we will give 4 stars overall

My experience with the sales team and their preferred lender was absolutely excellent. Most of the issues we have experienced are on the construction side. Corners cut all over the place, some rooms had to be completely redone with carpet and trim, the final walkthrough process was high-pressure to get you to sign off that the house is 100% done even though there were plenty of glaring flaws to still fix. Please bring an inspector with you on your walkthroughs.

Nice home for the price

I had a perfect location and the price of the premium lot did not go up that much which I am thankful for. However, I'm a little disappointed that I didn't have much options to buy my dream style/design home, so I just kept my first priority which is the location. I appreciate the incentives which a lot of builder/lender have similar offer.

Accurate time for closing

We ended up getting reassigned a new construction manager halfway through the build process (Brandon) who made sure to communicate and coordinate with us throughout the build process. Pleasant experience overall.

Overall we had a decent experience, and in the crazy housing market we were in, building a home was a much less stressful option. The salesperson was nice until we had an issue due to the interest rate increase. We worked it out with their manager who was much nicer. As far as the home itself, there is definitely some cheap workmanship and cut corners that don’t leave a great taste in our mouths. The seed and straw backyards are a joke, and nearly every home in the neighborhood has a crappy backyard. Plus, we still have issues that have yet to be repaired from closing, and have been told multiple times “we’ll have them call you”, which has not yet happened. The longer we’re in the home we’ve noticed a lopsided pony wall by the stairs, along with other little things that aren’t big deals but just feel cheap and could’ve been managed better. But, the plus side is that we have a new home in a nice area, and were able to get the square footage we wanted without paying an unreasonable price. The overall experience was good but the quality workmanship and materials is not so good. The doors, walls, paint and other materials is easily damaged or marked. This is the only part that is not good which definitely concerning. Thanks

Floors could be laid better pieces coming up.. the HOA is disgusting .. the trees are ugly and the lighting not over the address is stupid..

Buying and sales experience was very smooth and construction manager was keep updating us throughout process. But we close last month and we already have a huge underground leak costing us high water bill. Warranty is very slow to respond and after multiple emails and calling on emergency numbers finally they start taking this leak seriously. I hope it gets fixed anytime soon.
