I have been in my home about a month and a half. The appliances came with it. Every time I use the dryer the breaker trips. I put in a service request and an electrical company called to tell me they can’t come til the 23rd of the month. So I am left with a new home with new appliances and I will have to got to the washeteria for the next to weeks. Totall UNACCEPTABLE, I am so upset and disappointed

The house is very nice and well priced. However, the quality of work is pretty poor. The concrete slab is uneven and there are lumps all over the down stairs floor. Large lumps, like you can see AND feel when you walk. Several of the baseboards are bowed in or out significantly enough to notice immediately, and all of the pre-wired fan switches are all not terminated correctly. One of the three-way switches had a hot leg on both ends and kept the wires in the ceiling live no matter the switch combination I tried. Fortunately I have electrical experience and didn't get shocked!

Definitely builder grade. No sound proofing at all. Insulation is sub par. I can hear a person sigh in the next room. The use of flat paint is standard but it shows every mark, hand touch etc. The carpet and padding is sad and low quality. The land grading and drainage is actually horrible. Landscaping is a joke. But the price was fair in this market. I could have gone somewhere else but needed a ranch with decent sq footage. And the people at Centex were super nice. Note that Pulte Mortgage will not service your loan and they sell it to Fannie Mae who gives it to Loan Care who is one of ...

The overall homebuying experience was great. No complaints there. However, once I closed and moved in to my new home it was near impossible to get anyone on the phone that could actually resolve my issues. Then, the information that I did receive was insufficient or completely wrong. I have been in my home for 3 1/2 months and continue to receive the run around. Each representative I speak with passes the buck and no one seems to have the answers or want to assist. So, if you value a community with representatives that actually respond and care about your concerns, look elsewhere.

The quality of the house is NOT close to the Centex Home I bought 20 years ago. The walls are not straight, kick boards look like snakes. Even after three walk throughs, I still find walls are not straight up. So I gave up pointing out the problems. I can show you the issues. My address is 5818 Artcurus, San Antonio, TX 78218. I bought this Pulte Home because of the solid house I bought from Centex/Pulte in Retama Park in 2003. I have called the office regarding breaks/deep cracks in the garage that should be repaired before the cracks get larger. If I bought a car and didn’t see the dents until I got home, the car would be returned for another car or the dents repaired. I could put cement down to repair the cracks but I paid for a new house without cracks and holes. There is a space between the back of the kitchen cabinet and the wall. Whoever approved the bathroom design, had no interest in quality. The cheapest paint is throughout the house. And around the tub. It can get wet or washes off of the wall. ?? Who approved this as a family home. White walls that you can not whipe clean? The finish work is terrible, chunks of debris painted into floor boards. Floor is rubber and thinner then card stock. Very disappointed in the quality of work. The lack of care or attention to detail is appalling. It would be nice if issues got addressed properly. Or done correctly the first time.

Hounding workers to finish house

It’s very hard after closing to have workers return to finish all little items that were not complete before closing date. We are 6 weeks post closing and there are still several outstanding issues that should have been complete before closing.

Home building experience was good but there are significant delays due to improper planning. There is last minute rush to complete things which impqcted quality in few places. Field manager is not at all responsive for the items identified as pending in the closing. Still have few items that need to be fixed.

One you move in you find all the things you wished you’d noticed before closing. Creaky floors, leaks, corners cut. The lack of pride in the work shows. Getting to closing is easy and they have nice people on the staff.

Centex Homes makes it easy to get into a house. Our Saleswoman was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The construction manager was less helpful and we had an overall sour experience towards the end of the process. We love our home - still has open issues waiting to be addressed but overall we were glad to have the home.

I’ve lived in this house less than a month and have already had siding literally fall off, doors don’t shut properly , paint job was horrendous , caulking was horrendous , toilets are loose, garbage disposal needed serviced, nail pops and cracks everywhere !
