Overall I have a good experience buying my house. Carter and Kristen were great. Kristen is full of information and will tell you” let me work for you, that why I’m here”, she is 100% hands on and will update you on every step of the process. Now the issue is dealing with the warranty department.

The Centex team were helpful and worked to get us in the house but the quality of the home is subpar. Windows are misshapen, walls aren’t straight, grass was laid poorly, etc. We’re not pleased and we might have made a mistake buying a home from Centex.

Our experience with Ryan in Sales was very pleasant and professional. As first-time Centex homebuyers, not our best experience with new construction because of Centex policies. We saw the home at the end of 2021 (the walls were not yet sheet rocked) and wanted to purchase at that time and were told the price. However, Centex did not release the lot until March 2022 with no reason given despite our many emails and phone calls to the sales office with offers to purchase. Multiple issues not resolved throughout the home. Two walkthroughs with blue tape and still issues remained. Doors not properly sealing. Two of the rooms in the "Smart home" did not have the ethernet cables terminated or cut into the walls. The filter was missing for the AC, when they finally installed it, it was a used and very clearly dirty filter, if I could post the picture I would, absolutely gross, Trash left in the AC unit, and cabinet doors installed backwards, Exterior of home has misaligned panels. Terrible communication, they don’t follow thru on commitments, they disappear for long periods of time and don’t respond, the quality isn’t great and most disappointing is that you don’t even get what you expected/paid for when they substitute big items for different colors without telling you. Long list of gripes. Sales team super friendly for what it’s worth.

I have a lot to appreciate this company like the neighborhood and the house manager(Mark) are two of the main things I would like to appreciate Mark has really great responsive tendencies he is always there to help with issues and even if he can’t he always tries his best to satisfy customer and for that I would like to thank him. Several blue tape items existed and only some of them were corrected before closing. Several issues/items still exist that were never corrected. Overall workmanship on building the house is not satisfactory. Overall responsiveness from construction manager and sales representative were unsatisfactory.

We had a decently easy buying process, not many delays and open communication, but the second closing papers were signed and money was in their hand we have had horrible customer service. I was promised two missing components to my home within two weeks of moving, and after several emails and unanswered calls we still don’t have them nearly two months later (except for a “hey there, did you get what you need?” Email that i answered and got no response) They are very nice before they get their money, but then it’s onto the next buyer with no follow up or care for those who just moved into ...

What stood out the most is how long it took to build it, the house had a list of items to complete after closing, also the lack of communication after the build/closing is crazy! Have lots of patience!!

Alicia is PHENOMINAL to work with in the sales dept, she is so sweet and very responsive all the way through the process; even after closing she responds. She gets a 10/10 in my book. Chaz in the building dept stopped communicating after closing, I thought that was very odd. After all people go though during several months long in the building process and awaiting closing - one would think you would at least pass the homeowner along instead of making them feel cheated or cheap. I have no complaints about Centex as an agent. I would only recommend that they have a design center so it is easier to pick out your options within the home. A electronic design center that buyers can do on their free time to pick and choose options for their home. I am not a fan of Pulte Homes. We were promised a lot of things before we closed that NEVER happened or were fixed. After we closed our builder (Chaz) acted like we never bought a home from them. I don't care about some of the petty rules the company made. I needed them to accommodate my schedule and not for me to accommodate theirs. This meeting all the time was not going to fit my schedule when email and texting would work. Don't state the obvious. I can read. I love my home. Centex conceptualizes a beautiful look and appeal. My concern is workmanship it was poor all around. I never had a final walk through it was a 1001 things some major some minor that’s needed repair. Everything from the walkway to the bathrooms constant workmanship issues. And the response has been horrific I’m in two months now and still waiting for repairs to be completed. Our field manager was great until he got sick and someone else came in. That promised everything was going to be fixed a week from closing I had a large hole in my powder room and holes under my stairs at my pre closing which shows no effort to inspect before pre closing ever took place. Fast forward to closing day. Nothing is done. I withheld the funds to close until 10 pm that night because that is when the field manager was able to complete everything that was wrong. Staff are very friendly. Finishes are extremely poor. It hard not to know where to direct your concerns and everybody would say it'll get fixed, but that's is not going to happen. They hide warranty information, so they can cover their back. The grass in front and back yard that was installed was brown with the excused that was winter time. I closed on February 14. In January, my builder acknowledged that two windows needed to be replaced and he was working on that. When we closed, we signed paperwork acknowledging that our builder was still responsible for getting our windows fixed. It’s April 13 and I am STILL waiting on this to happen. We keep asking about it and we are rarely hearing back or are told they are “looking into it”, then never hear again. We’ve had to involve higher ups just to get what was promised to us 4 months ago done.

Rushed work quality. For starters, Paint and drywall left behind on floors and carpets, texture blemishes, sod placed over the top of construction debris and very uneven lumpy/bumpy ground, trees not planted in correct locations as per my requests. Property is constantly covered in construction trash from the centex build next door, siding was damaged from neighboring construction.
