Good, but lacking in the quality

Our home is great, but there are some issues with the quality. Drywall and paint were damaged and supposed to be repaired prior to moving in. We are 6 weeks later and still haven't heard back on when to expect them. We are still waiting for 4 trades to come and finish repairs that should have been done prior to closing. The warranty department takes weeks to get back to you. Just be aware that you will have to keep on them.

I wish we had the availability to wait on closing until all the issues were addressed but it would have taken too long. There have been a mix of bigger issues, minor mistakes and comical overlooks. Since the first rain storm, I’ve been vocal about insufficient drainage with no response. Exteriors issues with siding and windows. We found a roll of sheet vinyl tucked away with our ac unit. Daily reminders and concerns for a new build.

The attention to detail throughout the house was disappointing. The door frames, baseboards & trim, backsplash, electrical outlets, drywall around windows are not quality work and appliances were damaged when installed by builder. The trim around interior doors is separating, there are dings and painted over damaged areas in the baseboard trim throughout the house, electrical outlets are not flush with the walls in many areas, drywall and paint around window frames is damaged. Expected a lot more attention to detail.

we love the lot we picked out and the model home (Rosemont) we chose. when we purchased it was a pre-package deal for that model. so we assumed that all the material was ready to go for the construction since we could not make any changes. so we re on the assumption that the target closing date would be on schedule. did not happen. it took a month longer! our congratulation day with the field mgr was not the best experience either. we did not have a lot of time to inspect the house completely with him. he new about some things that needed to be fixed, prior to us meeting with him. we found ...

During the initial phase, the information provided was done in a professional manner and maintained throughout the home building process. Once we actually moved in, we did not expect to have to deal with concerns brought up before we moved in. The follow up-seemed like we were bothering them to correct workmanship that was needing repair. We asked to meet at a time that worked with our work schedule and were told the only time available was Monday - Friday, 8-4pm. We altered our schedule to meet the times provided. We like the house just not the nuances of having repairs needed on a ...

Centex Homes - We had quite a few issues, some that still have not been corrected

We had quite a few issues, some that still have not been corrected and now more issues have come up, such as our drip system is not working correctly and I had to shut off the main water supply because even in the off position the system was still running. There are areas that need paint touched up and we were told we would be receiving a touch up paint kit to do this ourselves. There is a dent in one of our garage panels that has yet to be addressed and the pop outs on the exterior of the home are missing. Apparently this was missed during the building process.

I recently purchased a new home at Carters Station. The home was not ready at closing. The home “celebration” was a disaster. Much of what was supposed to be fixed wasn’t and still hasn’t been corrected, even though I closed over a month ago. There are still serious issues with the ceilings, floor, dry wall, paint, nails left in the carpet, leaking facet, etc. The home was a mess upon move in, with TONS of sanded dry wall patching debris in the carpet, staples left on the stairs that my kids stepped on. Honest opinion- if I had to do it again, I would have bought elsewhere. There is ...

I love the home. It's a huge upgrade from the apartment life we were living. However, the builders were told multiple times about issues that should have been fixed early. Instead walls had to be tore out the days before closing to get repaired. Multiple doors are installed crooked and won't stay open. Parts are missing from doors as well as hinges and door knobs poorly installed. Obviously there was a mad rush to slap together the rest of the home toward the end to finish in time for closing. Items still aren't done that were requested day of closing. Trim outside and inside is painted ...

The loan and approval process was super easy and as a first time home buyer this made it a better than expected experience. The inspector explained everything and was prompt when responding to emails regarding our home construction timeline. We’ve been in our home since summer of 2021 and can say we have piece of mind knowing we have a new home with new electrical, plumbing, and HVAC that are still covered under warranty. My biggest concerns are the upstairs sub floor joints are uneven with each other and can be felt on your feet through the carpet when walking upstairs. Dry wall is cracking ...

Centex and Pulte: you don’t get what you pay for

I hate to use the word nightmare because I’ve certainly experienced worse. But you definitely don’t get what you pay for. Here I am a month I’m still waiting for someone to come fix the windows that won’t close, paint our outside veranda, install missing lights, and bring missing pieces to our blinds. Upgrades you pay for you have to remind them you paid for or you don’t get them: examples is crown molding, tray ceilings etch What we had to get fixed during the process was crazy: missing screens, attic unit missing pipe covers, shotty painting, wrong tile in kitchen, missing light over ...

In terms of the people I worked with, excellent. When it comes to the house, it has been issue after issue and disappointment after disappointment. The way we received our home at closing was a little disturbing to say the least. My wife and 2 kids had been in a 1bd apartment prior to so we were just happy to have space. I highly recommend paying a close eye to detail, trim work and the overall crew who is building. Corona bottles and cups of pee are not uncommon to find along with razor blades, filthy window seals and trash hidden behind your appliances. Interior and exterior paint job is a ...

We are happy with our home buying experience. We wish that there had been more time spent on the little finishing details to make sure that the home felt complete, but as a starter home, the price is decent for what you get. There is some room for customizability, but for some things, it is worth it to just do it yourself down the road so you don't pay interest on minor upgrades.

We were pleased with Pulte and the lending process. It went very smooth. Our field managers also get a 10 star. Shout out to Walker for trying his best and hardest to make things happen even during shortages. The flooring is very low quality. You can not even place a dining table down without the floors having intentions immediately. The cleaning lady did not do a good job on a “move in ready” clean. I completely understand the surrounding areas are a construction site and so was the home, however there was still solution left on the cabinets that had not been wiped up, dust on the counters, ...

I bought a Centex home & closed on the house on August 9th, 2021. At the time of our walk through the front and rear trees were flat out dead. The sales rep told me in her own words she was going to have the trees replace so did the builder he too texted me and emailed me saying "Just go to closing and we will replace the two dead trees" today is September 12th, 2021 and the trees still have not bee replaced. The sales rep won't return my calls. The builder disappeared. These guys are a joke. Before you sign your final closing docs make sure you don't take any promises from their sales ...
