Closing was delayed multiple days because issues with the CO which cause me yo wait over 5 days after closing to receive my keys! After almost two months after closing I am still waiting for the home screens to be installed… very disappointed overall with the company

Although Shawn, our building manager, had his hands tied a lot, I feel he did the best job he could for us. Contractors do seem to be the lowest bidders though. Often not showing up when they say they will. Centex had no contingency plan in place when their HVAC contractors quit on them. This lead to a couple of months delay. Holiday Pools refused to communicate with me about the project. Closing was delayed two weeks because the pool was not complete. This caused us to extend our stay at a local hotel and increased our out of packet expenses. Drywall has several splatters and the painters simply painted over them. Gloss paint for crown molding was overlapping the ceiling flat white in many areas. Had to reorder some tile and they used a different color grout when finishing. I see a few tile spacers still stuck in the grout. Our bathtub has to be refinished after contractors used ladders in the tub and scuff up the tub badly. Date of refinishing is estimated to be 4 months after closing! One window was broken at closing and has been repaired, but two windows are still missing trim that covers the installation screws after 40 days! Our initial experience with making an offer on the home and getting updates was good. We got weekly updates pretty consistently in the beginning, but then they started to taper off. Once we were given our closing date, I felt like a lot still needed to be done with the house and was concerned if the house would be "move-in" ready by the closing date. We ended up closing on time and moved in but had a punch list of items to address. One of our biggest concerns was our vinyl flooring, which was not installed to a satisfactory condition. Another concern was the trim work, which appeared to be rushed and sloppy. We had paint splatter on the floor in almost every room, and areas that shouldn't have paint on them had paint on them (windows, door handles, etc). We've currently been in our home for almost two months and we're still pending most of our punch list to be completed. Overall we do enjoy our home, but I also feel that it was rushed to be completed by the close date and that work wasn't done properly. Who doesn’t love buying a new home, build from the ground up. Seems that the process was more stressful than I could imagine, even with a buyer agent involved. I love the home, even with some decorative flaws. The sales team members did make me feel great about my purchases, however, I wish I would have consider additional add one for better living. If anyone can afford it, get ad much done as possible. The building proved to need more checking and questioning. The communication could have been better, as I was met with some condescending responses. I’m a new home owner and I should not have gone through some of these uncertainties get me stress. Great idea to have an outside inspector, which I did, but you only know what you know before the 30 days expires. ... More

Back yard is not leveled, it looks like everyone was in hurry and they supposed to work the way they built 2 years ago.

Wish they would have installed cable/Ethernet outlets in all the rooms.

So many things could have been handled better but we're tired of talking about it now.

The drive it’s and some other small over look things need to be paid more attention to be a we didn’t see them till we moved in now we playing the waiting game with warranty to get fixed and corrected. Next time we will look at things more detail because the little things matter too.

I really wanted to say great things but my experience had been anything but that. Someone forgot to put a cap on the roof fixture and there was major rain water damage to both the floors , ceilings, walls and carpet before move in. We had an add on for tile floors and more than half are uneven, raised that you can feel the dips when walking and even tripped over a couple. The wrong grout was used on the three bathroom tubs/tray and they look horrific- no caulk. Garage door has light coming through - hence the temperature is unbearable in the garage since it’s not sealed properly. Front door has light (and bugs) coming through since it’s not sealed properly - and losing cold air from the house. A couple of doors don’t latch. The screens on the windows have gaps and allow bugs in. Cannot open windows on cool nights for fear of allowing uninvited pests in. The list just goes on…, have taken pictures of all issues and working with warranty contact to get them addressed. This process has just started and even though nothing has been fixed yet, I hope to get these resolved soon. Work in progress. ... More

The Value for money for the home is not that great. There are many improvement points we find.

I did not have the best customer experience from the sales through the build experience. Once we signed the contract, we felt like a number and not a client. Poor communication throughout the process. We pointed out several build quality issues throughout build. Only closer of the build came in and tried to rectify the issues we pointed out and could provide honest answers and time frames.

I’d say 3/5 stars. Home quality wasn’t as expected

Too many issues after, make ready should be much more clean and neat. Lots of paint on flooring.

My wife and I had to micromanage much of our home build. There were numerous mistakes that had to be corrected, throughout the process and at the last minute as well. Our closing date was pushed twice. There were issues still getting corrected after closing. Not a quality build.

There are open areas in my roof line as I can see light from my attic asking my whole front entry walkway, when it is on. Very poor caulking job outside and especially above my tub. Along the floor as well they are not all clean lines and trim work has flaws. Very messy and ugly. Paint specs all over on my floor. Lumps under my carpeting, my garage door does not close all the way to the cement and the ground is not level with the garage door. Shotty concrete work under the brick by my garage. Random concrete in bricks that was slapped in after the fact and is a different color cement. Clumps of concrete on my sidewalk. Everything was rushed at the end to close before year end and that can be reflected in sub part quality. ... More

Although constant follow up was put to this, Centex delivers on its promises

My upstairs is warm in the winter with the heat running but my downstairs is cold. They sent a tech out from Houk A/C and he wasn’t very helpful at all. it’s very uncomfortable

We love the floor plan if our home.

The entire process was smooth for the most part. The builder did transition between building managers so we had a few communication break downs. The biggest area of opportunity for them is the landscape and sod installation. I am not happy with the sod being delivered brown and sitting for a few days, no top soil used, and the landscapers laying it down on rock without racking it out

They rush to finish the homes. had to push out my closing date. And the inside of the home still had things to get fixed even after my closing. Sloppy work on some areas of the house. Centex is an ok builder. Homes should be supervised better and more careful before giving a firm closing date.

Poor quality of material, i finded many unprofessional mistakes, not really satisfied,let see about the 10 years warranty!

Still plenty of things that need to get done.

The financing team chosen by Centex is subpar.

Home buying experience was okay, would have liked more communication and the process to be less rushed.

House is what was expected for a starter home, but materials and finishes are not great for how much was charged. Walls are very thin, paint is about the smallest amount that could have been applied to call the walls painted, paint missing from a number of corners of baseboard, trim not nailed down enough, sewer line broken after moving in. They were quick to address almost all blue tape items, which was nice to see
