We love our new Centex home.

Quality of products to build home are LOW. WINDOWS ARE 'CHEAP' type. Paid over 500k, i would expect at least a tilt in but expected double hung style. Craftmanship is average to low. No access to front of attic area over garage or front of house. Layout of home is excellent. Outside looks very nice.

Love my Pulte home! Great follow-up with Pulte warranty for some minor issues. Lovely Berkshire community.

We would certainly buy this home again. Expectations were met or exceeded. Tom in sales was great.

Not please with the project manager but everything else was good p.s need to change the type of toilet paper holders because they don't hold large rolls also need to make gutters standard.

We came around and did the blue tape portion of the walkthrough and I am not sure much has been corrected as there are cracks in the walls, the carpet is coming up, the master bath toilet has issues and so on. I am putting in a ticket today because I want everything fixed.

I am so happy that we decided to go with Centex homes. Enjoyable experience.

I don't know if this is an ongoing issue with new constructions, but the quality of the work is mediocre, bordering on terrible. I will have a lot of issues with the warranty company.

I will start this by saying that I am well aware these are spec homes, however the price of the homes in my area are $400k+. I had multiple issues with the home and still do. So much so that to have all the poor craftsmanship fixed would be impractical because it would require my family to leave while they sanded every poor drywall seam. The crews they use do not care about quality and it shows. These homes are rushed and the work done is sloppy. I moved from a 20+ year old home that was in better shape than my brand new home. From paint on the new floors around the base trim, to carpet, to trim work, and drywall imperfections, my home is overall far from a quality home. Did they address the bigger issues?, sure, but in order to address all the “fit and finish” details that make a quality home, it would require someone being in my house for weeks on end to resolve all the issues. I pretty much gave up as the frustration grew into all the issues that I keep discovering. I moved in and had someone in my home several days a week for almost a month. Completely ridiculous. I suspect this review won’t matter much because it’s obvious the number one goal for them is to build houses rapidly to make as much $$ as possible, and to not actually build the quality homes they promise. If the contractors would do things right the first time and cared about their work then you would get fives all across So many things wrong in my house and it's always a promise coming next week next week never happens It should of been done right the first time I understand things are going to happen, leaving a big drywall hole behind my pedistql sink what a joke so many mess up

We finally found our dream home. My family and I, are so happy with out purchase. We definitely recommend it. Just don't go with their mortgage ;)

James has been extremely helpful and informative with all of our inquiries. He has made this experience as least stressful as possible.

Quality could improve. Need more responsive in helping customers when needed.

I like the design and the warranty. Wish more things were customizable and the quality of some components could be better or upgrade able and some workmanship could be better.

We were very pleased with our home buying experience beginning with our sales Rep Tom to our Project Manager Bryan. We were continually informed of the status on our home throughout every phase. Both Tom and Bryan addressed every concern professionally. Bryan completed every punch list item making certain that each trade scheduled completed their task. Bryan’s dedication to his his position is extraordinary.

Everything seems great so far! There are a few little things but nothing too bad. Our sale rep (Crista) and construction manager (Chip) were amazing! They helped us every step of the way and were always available for any questions we had! They made buying our house so easy!

Two things worthy of consideration: First, they install cheap end appliances. Second, they do a really LOUSY job on the interior painting of our home. The home warranty folks are coming today to hopefully repaint everything. If I had to do it over again, I would NOT close on the home until the painting was to my satisfaction. That being said, they have honored their word so far so I expect no issues.

We were very excited to move into our house. Everything looked great. Now that we’ve been here for 2 months we are starting to notice some little problems. Drywall finished have a lot of imperfections. Doors are rubbing in different areas. Range and washer were not installed correctly. We know that fixtures and appliances are bought in bulk, maybe a slightly higher quality should be installed. At some point every faucet will need to be replaced.

It was easy processing For finances and home owners insurance . Wish needed more time for shopping other insurance companies to compare policy.

It’s very hard after closing to have workers return to finish all little items that were not complete before closing date. We are 6 weeks post closing and there are still several outstanding issues that should have been complete before closing.

If you can be on site to check things then do so if you know what you are checking. If not hire someone who can check for you. Communicate with sales person and project manager they will keep you informed. Trust them. If there is a problem inform them. Communication is key.

Very responsive during the build, but not so much after the sale

Our house was completed in the original estimated timeline. Our project manager, Thomas, was great and kept me updated throughout the process. I believe that because these houses are built so quickly caution is not taken to ensure things are as close to perfect as possible, which when you are spending this amount of money you would expect. We have noticed walls are not level and straight and at this point there is no fixing that. We have had other issues arise in the 2 months we have been living here also. Some of which have been addressed others are still out there lingering. Overall we are happy to be in our new home just be aware that if you are expecting top quality craftsmanship you will not get that here. At this point in time I can't say I wouldn't recommend Centex I would just caution buyers to think about their expectations when buying any tract built home. ... More

I will keep it short and sweet. I had a fantastic buying experience a+. From the moment we fell in love with the house to the closing process went as smooth as it should. After closing we found a lot of issues that should have never been issues, just poor workmanship. From building materials down my drain and clogging up our whole house to the dryer vent being shoved into place and closed for no air to escape, and a gas leak that could not be detected by the plumbers or appliance technician. Trusses in the attic broken and not attached to anything, no electric to the doorbell. These mistakes are proof that the workmanship was poor to none. There was no pride in their work. When workers came to fix these issues, there was a huge language barrier which made it very frustrating. We find ourselves very lucky that we were able to notice an issue with the dryer vent that could have caused a fire, plus the gas leaking for 2 months which could have been a terrible situation. With all these issues already, a home inspection or two may be needed to find myself feeling safe in my new home. ... More
