Nice family oriented community

Love our new home and especially enjoyed working with our field manager! He was great! Upper management seems to have made some poor decisions with cheap, poorly manufactured/installed kitchen cabinets. I hope they can rethink that decision and make it right as it degrades the overall Centex brand!

This is my second Centex new home. This one has had several issues but they are trying to fix most of them. The walls are not smooth and I don’t care for the paint quality. I don’t see as much attention to detail as I expected. Once we get settled in, it will be a great home. Love the floor plan and location so much.

Staff was very adaptable, and informative. I am excited every time I come home from work. No worries on craftsmanship if Chris is building it!

The overall experience with Centex was very good. I don't like the way the light fixtures are wired in each room because the switch has to stay on for both the light and fan to work when you replace it. They should use 12/3 wire so there is a constant hot for the fan and a switched hot for the light, the overall cost per house is just a few dollars. The Assistant Field Manager, Zach S. is very friendly and knowledgeable about the houses. He had an issue with my AC repaired the same day I talked with him about it. Otherwise we are very happy with the house especially the 10 year warranty.

Buying experience was great, sales persons was awesome but had 2 major plumbing issue 2nd day we moved in. Material Quality is not as good as we expected but plan is great.

Final finishes are lagging in quality

The dishwasher is not working properly, several lamps had to be replaced. The kitchen cabinet hinge has some problem.

Overall our family really enjoys this house, and the quality from the builder is very very good. Within a few weeks we've noticed the back door leaking water, water leaking in through the bricks in the garage, and it's taken quite a bit of time to get a response even though all of it is under warranty. What we are disappointed in overall is not the builder... but the salesperson who represented the builder. He did not disclose certain HOA rules even when we asked about them, and did not disclose that our backyard has an easement for drainage for the entire neighborhood in which we are not allowed to build a fence on. We had a good experience with the Centex Home Buying Experience and the sales individuals were fun to work with.

The homebuying process was excellent, and the home was delivered ahead of schedule, but the plumbing overlooked an issue which caused a flood on day two of homeownership. All repairs were covered, but verbal deadlines to complete that work were not met. Other small things have popped up or been noticed within the first month such as chipping paint, uneven cabinets, and some lack of finishes.

Overall nice home, but in the end the home was rushed so the builder could meet the closing date, I feel that a lot of details was missed and skipped because of the rushing to finish toward the end. We would have been happy to move back the closing date in order to have it done correctly. There are several things were are doing ourselves because the response to issues has been non existent.

Overall, we have had a great experience! We enjoy our home, the location, and the amenities, such as a park and walking trails. All of the Centex employees have been wonderful to deal with. However, we are disappointed in the number of large property management companies who have been allowed to buy up the entire neighborhood. Unfortunately, this means we do not have long-term families in the neighborhood. Hopefully, centex will consider families when selling the homes that remain unsold.

The garage door was installed Improperly and we are still waiting on a replacement and cannot secure it. The A/C unit was wired wrong when we moved in and it did not work.

Some features were standard for the build as opposed to being upgrades and/or options with other builders. For example our granite kitchen counter top. I also enjoyed the the limited options regarding interior color selections. It made it more simple and not as overwhelming.

You can expect customer service and site managers to be great, but some of the contractors are out to make the most they can in as little time as they can. Things will have to be redone or fixed . We still have things that need to be redone or fixed properly.

The painter and cleaning crew are sub par

While the homes are nice, ours has areas where you can tell the vendors rushed their jobs and even though things were somewhat fixed before move-in, there is a lot that wasn’t but you don’t notice until it’s too late. You expect your home to resemble the model home to some extent but the finishing work is not even close. While we are happy with our home, there are things we wish we would have addressed before we signed our final paperwork.

We have had many problems with the water heater, flooding/water entering the house, screws popping out, and siding coming undone.

The sales rep was great. I’ve bought centex before where quality and character of the home were more evident. This community was certainly on a budget and with vinyl as the shell it meant upgrades and finishes were basic or non-existent. The Construction manager was kind through the walk through phase and then things change. Layouts of the homes are great overall though.

The buying experience was good. Pretty easy overall. I'm disappointed with the quality of finish and the quality of the products used in the house.

Not the top quality I was expecting

Very stressful paperwork had to be sent numerous times and monthly payment and interest rate were not locked in immmefiately they kept changing customer payment amount

Our initial experience with making an offer on the home and getting updates was good. We got weekly updates pretty consistently in the beginning, but then they started to taper off. Once we were given our closing date, I felt like a lot still needed to be done with the house and was concerned if the house would be "move-in" ready by the closing date. We ended up closing on time and moved in but had a punch list of items to address. One of our biggest concerns was our vinyl flooring, which was not installed to a satisfactory condition. Another concern was the trim work, which appeared to be rushed and sloppy. We had paint splatter on the floor in almost every room, and areas that shouldn't have paint on them had paint on them (windows, door handles, etc). We've currently been in our home for almost two months and we're still pending most of our punch list to be completed. Overall we do enjoy our home, but I also feel that it was rushed to be completed by the close date and that work wasn't done properly.
