In the first month of moving in we're finding issues with electrical, internal structure etc. The door frames are cracking up. The seam cracks are showing on the walls within a month. Our previous house was also a new construction and we did not face those issues.

The longer I am in my home the more issues arise. Blinds that are falling down, nail holes in the ceilings, no caulking below baseboard, epoxy split and dried on floor, cracks in the walls appearing...NEVER been so disappointed.

I closed on February 14. In January, my builder acknowledged that two windows needed to be replaced and he was working on that. When we closed, we signed paperwork acknowledging that our builder was still responsible for getting our windows fixed. It’s April 13 and I am STILL waiting on this to happen. We keep asking about it and we are rarely hearing back or are told they are “looking into it”, then never hear again. We’ve had to involve higher ups just to get what was promised to us 4 months ago done.

I love the home. It's a huge upgrade from the apartment life we were living. However, the builders were told multiple times about issues that should have been fixed early. Instead walls had to be tore out the days before closing to get repaired. Multiple doors are installed crooked and won't stay open. Parts are missing from doors as well as hinges and door knobs poorly installed. Obviously there was a mad rush to slap together the rest of the home toward the end to finish in time for closing. Our experience with Centex was not a great one. A lot of options weren't available and we went through several different build managers. We were shown a model home and there were a lot of features in the model home and were not told that those feature would not be in our home. The main issues we had was with their in house underwriting department with a lot of communication errors.

Centex was horrible to work with. Not putting customers 1st. Houses have tons of issues. And warranty is a pain to submit and vendors refuse to work with customer unless work order is sent from centex.

I love the layout and the finishes on my new house. Unfortunately, I’ve been in the house for one month and the microwave and sprinkler system have already had issues. There are raised paint dots all over my floors that were not cleaned up and also missing grout in several places, as well as weather stripping that has already started to come off the doors. The sales portion of the experience can be improved. Communication was not the best from the sales agent. We would call and email several times before we got a response. The contractor was good. He was responsive and helpful.

They did not provide the blue prints of the home witch made it very difficult to do home improvements ex add a water softener. They also said the home was pre wired for Cad6/Ethernet in every room which it was not.

Lack of accountability with the warranty department and low end contractors with no integrity

I closed over a month ago and have the same issues i had before closing. They told me we will get all this taken care of and even wrote up a form we both signed and told me within a week it will be done and its been over a month and I have been no showed several times and now just getting blown off with no help. Poor workmanship and materials, they don't follow up on things they promised to do, warranty work takes an extra long time. I would not purchase another Centex/Pulte home.

I wish I would’ve hired a 3rd party inspector instead of me finding all the issues myself. I’ve built before with another builder and expected the same experience. Well that didn’t happen. Ironic that this survey came the day after finding the latest issue. Irrigation person came out to fix a sprinkler head. In the process he discovered that Zone 6 was out of the schedule. The way the builder interpreted Centex and Pulte is somewhat misleading. There was a reference to Centex whenever a question of standard and quality comes. Though Pulte acquired Centex, the builder take pride in being a Pulte owned, the quality of construction and handling of issues is not upto the mark. My friends who constructed through Pulte had a better buying experience and warranty claims. We somehow felt that the Centex tag on them became a reason for skipping many items on the build quality.

My home was not completed when we closed, it has been over a month and a half that we closed and still no one has come to my home to paint over 40 drywall patches and tags that had to be corrected after closing. For them to come complete the tags around our house it took them one month after closing. I really wanted to love my experience with Centex/Pulte but I am completely disappointed by the work and lack of interest that was put into this home.

Prior to moving in there were squeaks and uneven flooring, wood sticking out in in t he garage ceiling. The kitchen was flooded from a water line burst. Also the garage walls and floors had water leaks. Some door knobs and hitch loose. Over all, I think detailing is very poor. There is still squeaks and a brand new home should not feel like a fixer up.

I have lived in this home for 3 weeks and have had to put in 3 work orders. Most of my outlets do not work, I had a huge leak which caused my water to turn off. They were suppose to send out the irrigation people to fix it, this still has not happened. My backyard and front yard was supposed to be re-rolled. This has not happened. My oven does not work submitted a work order has yet to hear from the people about fixing it. Unnecessary arguments over move in dates, for a new home there was quite a bit of things that needed to be addressed. The inner offices of Pulte Mortgage and Centex homes has to be the most dysfunctional group of misfits ever put together. The experience was stressful and unclear 98% of the time. Paperwork was done 3 times and still never correctly done. Too many to list, this is just getting me mad rehashing this in my mind. Good day!
