Centex Homes - I have lived in this home for 3 weeks and have had to put in

I have lived in this home for 3 weeks and have had to put in 3 work orders. Most of my outlets do not work, I had a huge leak which caused my water to turn off. They were suppose to send out the irrigation people to fix it, this still has not happened. My backyard and front yard was supposed to be re-rolled. This has not happened. My oven does not work submitted a work order has yet to hear from the people about fixing it. My outlets under the sink did not work, so I couldn’t use mh garbage disposal, i had water backed up in my sink. It took over 2 weeks for someone to come fix it. My oulets ...

Terrible first home experience continued

Unnecessary arguments over move in dates, for a new home there was quite a bit of things that needed to be addressed. Outside of the blatant flaws that was all over the home, the first night my decorative piece on the top of the blinds fell on me in my sleep, there was blue masking tape on my ceiling that I can’t reach, no seal for my shower to the floor, my towel rack in my master bathroom wasn’t screwed in completely resulting in damage now in my bathroom from it scraping, the workers around my home have zero respect. The portal potty is right up against my driveway when they could easily ...

Not one person new how to do their job except the labor and project manager who built the home.

The inner offices of Pulte Mortgage and Centex homes has to be the most dysfunctional group of misfits ever put together. The experience was stressful and unclear 98% of the time. Paperwork was done 3 times and still never correctly done. Too many to list, this is just getting me mad rehashing this in my mind. Good day!

Worst home buying experience ever!!

From the beginning, communication has been terrible. I am extremely disappointed with our sales representative Andre. I first looked at purchasing the home while deployed overseas with the military using a power of attorney, my father. The house was advertised as April 7, 2019 complete. I loved the house and we were told BY ANDRE that closing would be in May on the 7th AS WAS AGREED TO DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS RETURNING HOME IN MARCH. IT WAS AGREED BY BOTH PARTIES TO ALLOW ADDITIONAL TIME TO THE CONTRACTOR ONLY DUE TO POSSIBLE WEATHER DELAYS. In the contract we put May 30th as our final ...

Centex Homes - Worst framework, squeaky subfloor, seems like the entire house

  • Andrew C.

Worst framework, squeaky subfloor, seems like the entire house is uneven. Lousy painting job. cracked on the vinyl planks, crappy concrete job, the list goes on..... The construction manager keeps saying: "We are production builders". So? All they care is production but not quality. Overall: Very poor workmanship.

Centex Homes - I hesitated to write this review, but the number of issues I

I hesitated to write this review, but the number of issues I had to go through with this new build is unbearable. The closing date was 2/18/2022. Today is 4/21/2022. Before buying this house, I was ready to go with Taylor Morrison vs. Pulte. However, I end-up signing with Pulte/Centex after considering the commute (Centex house is closer to the city). The model house I saw was well finished. The quality is high and promising. The build I end up with is nothing alike. Summarizing the issues as below: The number of tickets I have open for a MAJOR problem is 8. Below is a list and brief ...

Centex Homes - The workmanship is the lowest I have seen ever.

The workmanship is the lowest I have seen ever. No issues have been resolved as of yet. Sloppy work, substandard materials. promises not fulfilled. If you don’t use their mortgage company they make the process really difficult for you. It has been a complete nightmare.

House not finished, lots not working, sloppy workmanship

  • William S.
  • Verified HomeBuyer
  • March 09, 2022
  • Taylor, TX

Overall this has been a terrible experience. House was not finished when we closed. A/C and furnace wired backwards, causing the furnace to constantly trip the breaker during cold weather (got that fixed about 5 weeks after closing), back porch catches water by the back door (sloped wrong direction - under re-construction now), sprinkler system did not work, master bath shower would not drain (not slow - didn't drain at all and had water in shower basin for 2 weeks), waited about a month for the appropriate front door knob to be installed, living room HVAC vent would not open, paint spilled ...

Nightmare Purchase

One month in and not even settled and we discover a water leak caused by builder that was present prior to closing and not discovered. Extensive water and mold damage. Complete rebuild of kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Can’t even use kitchen for over 3 weeks. Not all satisfied or happy with the fact that we paid good money for a new home and now will be left with a second rate repaired build! Seeking legal counsel.
