Weak tradesman. Average quality. The subs don't care. This is the lowest tier of construction quality that exists. Having said that, Pulte is a good company that really tries to take care of their customers

Our site manager made our build much easier to manage. He was very timely and would respond to almost all of my questions within a few hours. I appreciate the sales office as well, they made it a very smooth transition.

Starting out was great got to choose your own design and select colors but when it came to building the house we had a lot of failed inspection because workers were cutting corners and causing me to be delayed another 3 and half months from closing and I am still finding more issues after closing, this feels like a working project instead of a move and ready home, my advise is do not close until everything is fix and I mean everything, because to get someone out there will take weeks to fix.

Nice homes with good quality

Our contractor WES was Awsome always keeping us updated on the building process. If we had a question and would reach out to him. He would respond to text Immediately and answered every phone call. Centex homes are good quality with a great price. Teaming with Pulte centex has really gone up in quality.

Our overall new home build experience has not been a good one with Centex/Pulte. I want to start off with the fact that key contacts for us changed during the build process. First our Sales Consultant changed halfway through the build and then our construction manager changed. Overall, we did not have a problem with Lisa on the sales side but when Ana was our Agent she put the primary cell phone number for us incorrectly, so throughout the entire process our build, the building managers, mortgage company, title company, and whoever else had our number wrong which delayed multiple things. It was very frustrating. The construction side is another story. We started out with Javi who was excellent. Javi was transparent about the house, he was great at communicating, was realistic about everything, most even most importantly, Javi took our conversations serious and remembered things we spoke about and would actually address them after we would speak. If things were delayed he was honest and gave us real expectations, something we absolutely appreciated and the only thing we could ask for during this process. We never had that type of service since he was moved off our house. Halfway through our build, our construction manager changed to Zach. For starters- THIS SHOULD NEVER OCCUR. This is the point that our major issues began to arise. At first things were going okay with Zach, he was keeping us updated for the most part with the house. I was coming to the house every week and seeing how it was going and then I would get with Zach on what issues we were concerned about. It seemed like they were being addressed. Around the time the walls started coming up and when the cabinets came in, things changed. On multiple occasions my wife and I would meet or speak with Zach, go over multiple issues, and he would assure us that it would be addressed and would say “I will have my best guys fix it” yet they would not be addressed weeks later. This occurred with countless issues with the house. Zach rarely documented anything during our walk throughs and would maybe address 1 out of 10 problems every time we would speak and we would have to remind him again over and over on issues with the house. About a month before our projected closing date of June 24th, a major leak occurred in the ceiling of the kitchen. This flooded the first floor of the house and damaged multiple walls, kitchen cabinets, the guest room, pantry, and storage closet. We came to the house after Zach contacted us and he let us know they would be taking care of it immediately and we should still be good for a closing date of June 24th. We let him know it is very important that we know asap if our closing date is changing because we had to let our current landlords know if we are needing to resign our lease for July. We would’ve been happy to do this if he would’ve given us this expectation and realistic and honest answer, but Zach assured us the home would be completed in June and by the 24th, so we advised our landlord that we didn’t need to rent for July. We came by the house every week and for 3 weeks there were stagnant water. We called to ask what was being done and by week 3 were concerned about mold because the water was STILL there. They worked on the leak, remove the damaged walls after 3 weeks from the flood occurring. We show up at the house after week 2 of the flood and there was finally a machine but the tube sucking up the water was just on the floor in the downstairs bathroom and the water from the kitchen and guest room now flooded the bathroom and was leaking into the garage. I asked Zach what is going on and he said they had left the windows open over the weekend to let it dry, but it had been raining for over 2 weeks in Boerne, so everything got wet again. In addition to this, the machine was now leaking water on the floor instead of draining in the bathtub. All of their hard work removing walls and drying the house and the house was flooded all over again due to their negligence and NO ONE CHECKING ON THE HOUSE TO ENSURE THINGS WERE GOING PROPERLY WITH THE TRADESMAN. With less than 1 week to close and being guaranteed by Zach that they we would still close in time, our house was not prioritized at all and we felt lied to and very disrespected during these last 2 months of the process. During the final walk through before closed, Zach took pictures of all the issues left on the house on the Friday before we closed. He kept forgetting our closing date and we had to remind him at least 6 times because he would repeat it back incorrectly. He stated they would be working on everything over the weekend(this was something he had been promising us for weeks, that he and his crew would be working weekends to ensure our house would catch up and close on time) since we were closing the following business day, Monday 6/28. Nothing was done over that weekend. In addition, Zach advised us that he had dropped his phone in the river over the weekend tubing with his family and lost the pictures from our final walk through. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful at such a crucial time in the process of us having to close and move in the very next day with countless items still needing to be done with the house. This is the point that I wrote the sales team and had them give me Peters information because I no longer trusted that our house would be completed after we closed. We were given 2 days to move out of our rental house and move into a house that still wasn’t finished. Weeks after close and we still had people coming in and out to fix things. The garage was installed incorrectly and crashed down on the ground when it was rising, incredibly dangerous and upsetting. Where are we today? We closed around 2 months ago and our house is still not finished. Involving Peter did not prioritize our home. I have a back door that was replaced finally but still needs to be painted. We came to New Braunfels TX needing a home. It was stressful with a new job and pregnant wife. Melissa helped relieve the stress by finding us a home and getting us moved in within our time window! With houses in high demand we were pleased to find a home. Thank You to Melissa and Austin in the Elley Crossing sales office. Brett made sure our house was ready at closing. This team did a good job with our home!

I'm moving date we had a water leak. Carpet how to get pulled up tack strips padding for the car pickup pulled up how to cut out sheetrock in 3 different rooms. And the house is very dirty when we moved in I'm going to make my second payment and stuff has still not all been fixed

The house was dirty after closing Paint drops on floor and caulk and paint on windows Some trim was not painted mud all over driveway and sidewalk Very unprofessional

We not really happy the first day all two bathrooms sinks was leaking, and we still wherein for people come finish to paint and fixed the garage door

This was honestly the worst experience of my life. In full transparency there were only 2 people that cared about Elaine and I as a person during this process and that was Jack(builder) and Winn(sales rep). Our closing date was moved several times and we were unsure of what was going on. It felt like we were being treated poorly for not using Pulte mortgage. We elected to not use pulte due to our loan officer Daniel. He was condescending, arrogant and dishonest. We turned down $8000 due to the way he treated us. He was giving us a higher interest rate telling me I would have to put down a 25% down payment to get the interest lower. Daniel was ready to take full advantage of us being first time home buyers.. He also lied to my wife about having documents. I can say that I will never recommend Pulte/Centex to anyone I know. I felt like I was just another house during the the process rather than a person. If it had not been for Jack and Winn I would have opted out of this experience. ... More

A lot of bad details

Centex homes are great starter homes but you must stay on top of construction to make sure every thing is correct.

So many downs throughout the process. From floor plan changes (a wall that wasn’t supposed to be diagonal end up being) to multiple water leaks, one that owner found on a random visit to the house, that was able to stop it before it ruined the entire second floor with the over night water fountain. Overall the floor used is sub-par and below quality, been told is not linoleum and it’s a Vinyl roll but they are both the same and at the price point a plank would’ve been ok. Floor is peeling everywhere, is not resistant and wasn’t finish correctly in so many places. The cabinets needed reordering of multiple faces because they were all scratched up everywhere but difficult to tell on the quick walkthroughs. Majority of walls and doors are not leveled or crooked on a variety of ways. The list goes on. If I can do it all over again, I would NOT buy a Centex home (at least here at this subdivision of Winding Brook) and spend a little extra cash and go with a different builder in the area. Centex homes are easily a step up in quality from what you'll get with other builders at the same price point. I really appreciated how much they involved us in the process and how responsive they were to our concerns. We almost felt like they were building a house just for us rather than a whole bunch of houses at the same time. They are very upfront with you and didn't try to pull anything shady.

The PM Zack L was great and very attentive. The workman ship was not something worth over $300,000. I am disappointed in the quality of work and what passes as a new build.

We started the process to buy our home in July of 2020 and was told that we would be able to close by the end of march or early April of 2021. We finally closed June 26, 2021. I do understand the situation with Covid and the delays that it caused. But we witnessed other houses of our same model starting after ours being completed before ours. Our house would sit with no work being done for 2-3 weeks at a time. Also, when the work was done, it was very poor quality which had to be corrected at a later time. Walls had holes punched in, Paint was poor quality and workers would use the shower as a toilet. Every time I would go to the property I would find something else wrong or damaged. Finally at the final walk through, we noticed a number of items were either damaged or not completed. The kitchen island was damaged at the bottom beyond repair, the tile around some of the outlets in the kitchen were cut too short and were gapped, the front porch light was missing, the door bell did not work, paint was missing is spots. All of which are still not corrected. Most of the other items that were not completed are now complete. Overall, we are enjoying the house, we just wish that the process would have gone smoother. Again, I do understand the worker shortage, but some of the guys, NOT all, that did do the work need to have a little more pride in their work. ... More

The total project from start to finish was a complete nightmare. I still have things that need to be addressed/fixed The quality of the carpet and the faux floor is not made of quality material. The concrete is pealing in the garage and around the front door. The ceiling in kitchen and the great room has two large patches where product was over sprayed. The trim in the kitchen are not flushed. The kitchen exit door has dents and the window has a scratch in the glass. One of the worse made homes I have ever lived in.

Chance Bates, Tyler, and Walker were amazing throughout the home building and buying process. I couldn’t have made a better choice. Centex and Pulte Mortgage are amazing. All my questions were answered and as a first time home buyer, they took the time to explain each step and what would happen in the future.
