Be prepared for issues to arise between your final walk through and closing. The field manager claimed that Centex would provide a "paint touch up kit", it never happened and I have several areas in my home that the builder failed to paint. I can't even get a response from the company just for the name of the paint color. I've been trying to get a response for several weeks. There was dirt rubbed into my carpet from electricians that were in my home doing work while I was closing. I came home immediately after closing and electricians were in my home, without anyone telling me they would be there. I am continuing to find caulk and paint on my carpets. My master bathtub was covered in sheetrock mud and other substances that took me hours to get out. Also, there is water-logged crown moulding that was left in my garage. The field manager said they would send someone to remove them...that was the first week of March and it still hasn't happened. Several doors didn't close properly within 2 weeks. They sent someone to fix them but my door trim was damaged during the process and they didn't repair it. All and all, there is a poor attention to detail, in my opinion. As a new home owner understandably we anticipated maybe a minor issue here or there that would need to be addressed. Luckily the few things that needed to be touched up or addressed were usually handled within 24 hours of me putting in my request even after moving in.
