Very late on fixing the issues reported

I can understand that the coronavirus pandemic has affected all companies, but we reported the issues a few months back and not much has been fixed. We were told that as soon as workers for different things (tile grout, cabinets etc.) become available the issues would be fixed. They keep building more houses in our community, which means thise workers are back, but our issues haven’t been fixed. Really bad customer service on this front.

Century Communities responded:
Pushminder- Thank you for your patiance during the current conditions we're all going through with the COVID19 epidemic. With regards to seeing the trades building homes and service techs servicing homes. We are still building homes through state/federal guidelines where they have little to no contact with the general public. The service side of bussniss is different as they would generally have direct contact with homeowners. State and federal guidelines are used here as well but also each company has its own response allowing it's personal in someone's home. We are working with the trades to expedite warranty claims as quick as ...

Great house and love where I live

Living in the new house has been great and everything has been amazing. The only thing that’s bother some is the building that’s still going on around my house has caused a lot of careless trash on the side of my house and in my lawn and street. I understand there will be some that goes on with construction but the workers are just very careless with their lunch trash and that type of stuff and really dirties up the neighborhood.

Century Communities responded:
Thank you Brandon for sharing. Yes, trash can blow around but we should be better at making sure they clean up and properly use the trash cans provided.

We will use this post as a training tool.

Just ok

Heather was great during the home buying process. But since I’ve closed escrow, the customer experience has just been ok. I understand that with COVID things have been challenging. But the only time I have contact with anyone is if I reach out to them. Kyle has been great. Responsive and efficient. Not sure what happened to the “other guy”. Not sure if the team is short staffed or what. Also, someone needs to do a better job clean up these construction sites. My neighbors and I always have trash in our yards.

Century Communities responded:
Andrea- we read all comments and are always looking to improve. Your concerns will be addressed with the team.

Century Communities - After moved in, the defects and repairs not easy to deal with

After moved in, the defects and repairs not easy to deal with the person in charge. Stressed and hard time. Sound like it has to be requested over and over again.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We will address this with the division and team.

Unresolved Issues

Customer Relations Manager has yet to resolve multiple issues. Have been living in home for months now and still have unresolved issues. Customer Relations Manager promised to fix these multiple issues including broken toilet, paint matching corrected stucco, doors installed incorrectly and cleaning dirty floors. Floors were left dirty and had to deep clean all the floors in which should have been clean prior to moving in. Doors were unable to lock; they can be pushed to open. Majority of doors were really squeaky and had to be reinstalled. Front door has opening on bottom; enough to where ...

Not what we expected

We bought this home because of the Floorplan and Location and the Elevations. But, did not fo research on Century it self. This a over 4k home that has the qualities of a much lower price point home..need to put in alot of upgrades to bring up to a 400k standard such as lever door handles. It really basic stuff. That they went super cheap on. Please turn on the water in hall bathroom before buying. You can hear what sounds like a jet coming from the pipes..super embarrassing when company use that bath as the whole house can hear. Also no showers after 10pm it can be heard in the Master ...

Disappointed

We were very excited to move into our new home. However there were several issues, from big stains of paint on every single room with carpet to brand new walls with bad repaired holes. The rack on the laundry room was installed up side down, some cabinets have waves inside, the heater didn't work, there was a water leak on the master shower, the garage door opener motor had to be replaced, the solar system still doesn't work, there was a missing lid on one of the air vents, and some other minor issues. We had a good responsiveness to the big issues that absolutely needed to be fixed, however ...

Very Low Quality of Workmanship

The quality of workmanship is the worst I have even seen. The bathroom tiles are not flat on the flat surface. The gaps between tiles are not even. The appearance of the tile work is so ugly that we may consider remodeling the bathrooms soon.

Century homes are aesthetically pleasing and quite large. It was nice to be able to have a wide range of options to customize the house and its design features. However, the home is poorly built as exemplified by nails pushing back out of the wall in numerous rooms and areas, cracks around the windows and in the corners, and damaged cabinets. Our A/C broke right away in 100 degree weather and they waited 3 days to fix it (house became too hot to live in). The employees managing the customer services side of the project were unresponsive, rude, and hard to communicate with. Construction ...

We are 3 months into our new house and have had many issues. Holes in the floor, broken cabinets, chipped counter tops, sprinkler issues, dish washer not drying and water heater not getting hot. Still none of these issues are fixed. Would not recommend this builder I have given calls about this over and over again still waiting.

Century Communities responded:
Jason-please visit our web-sight at www.centurycommunities.com. at the top of the page there is a tab for homeowners. that is where you can open a claim and a tech will schedule a time and day to review your concerns

Terrible experience, the home has had so many issues and it takes forever to get anything done, been here for over 3 months and still major issues from when we moved in not taken care of, terrible workmanship, lack of care and the details on baseboards, cabinets, flooring were bad. When we moved in the house was dirty spent a whole day cleaning it and still finding tape and crap throughout the house. Worst decision I made in purchasing from this builder

Century Communities - The quality control on these homes is terrible.

The quality control on these homes is terrible. We are still trying to get things repaired and attended to 4 months later. It is a nightmare trying to get anything done. Even when the subs come out often times you have to babysit them to make sure it's done right. If I could go back I would not buy this home, and will avoid ever purchasing from Century in the valley. Not even the Division President cares about the quality of his products. When I emailed him he quickly pawned it off to lower level employees without a care. When speaking with neighbors, almost all the families in my community ...

Horrible craftsmanship, unresponsive, and unprofessional

To many issues with the home that were not addressed in a timely manner. Quality of the home for the purchase price was exceedingly overpriced. And when having an issue addressed regarding the craftsmanship, Century employees conduct was unprofessional, rude, and threatening. I feared for my safety when dealing with this employee. So much that I had to ask the employee to leave my property.
