Aurora condo

We feel that the purchased condo and community are an overall excellent value. The sales staff was excellent and we are satisfied that our expectations were met. The only negative so far is that there has not been good responsiveness to our warranty issues. The few problems noted since purchase have not been fully addressed since our closing in December ( it is now April).

Century Communities responded:

Ups and Downs

Overall, this experience has had ups and down. There were many problems we need to have fixed at our walk-through that were not fixed, and we had to do a second walk-through where things still were not complete after signing. Those items plus a list of 12 other items had to go to warranty claim. Both Chuck and Ryan are great, however, everyone else like tradesman have not been hospitable. If you do the job right the first time, then we do not have to call you, however, if it was incomplete or done poorly, its should be fixed since it is a BRAND NEW home. Example: Entry way transition has ...

Some minor things wrong that I am now starting to find. Nothing major though. Jeb has been outstanding throughout the process!!! Always gets back to you right away. As far as the community... trying to live in my townhome as construction continues around me has not been fun. Parking is poorly planned. Construction workers playing there music loud, etc. Also things not being explained to me before they happen. Such as tearing up my yard to place a street light... that was quite a surprise that morning. Overall the community is in a good location. Hopefully with feedback we ...

We love this house. However, some workmanship was poor, the grounds are getting landscaped and finished very slowly, and issues aren’t getting addressed timely.

Century Communities responded:
Betsy, if you wouldn't mind ... please email Laura Adame, our national customer relations liaison @ Laura.adame@centurycommunities.com so that she can gather more information and relay to the proper folks that may be able to help accelerate resolution. Thank you.

Century Communities - It is unfortunate that when you have an issue with your home

  • Loretta ..

It is unfortunate that when you have an issue with your home and have to make a claim that they don’t let you know they received your message or let you know when they are coming out to resolve it. I always had to reach out to my sales person to try and get anything done. They still haven’t fixed a few of my issues. Nothing bugs me more than people that say they are going to do something and they don’t. Seems to me like once they get your money, they could careless about you and your home after that!!

Century Communities responded:
Loretta- Thank you for sharing. We will make sure your concern is sent to the Denver team management

Our sales person (Brianna) and GC who handled warranty (Cody) for first 30 days were great! Warranty department is terrible. We have submitted a warranty claim for a few items and have not gotten a response. The flooring contractor has failed to fix floor boards after two or three visits, we have no kitchen lights, and there are dripping noises in the master bath.

So over all Ok with he local people, but our Fireplace and Stove top hood do not work properly. I submitted a claim for the fireplace in early November and one for the hood early December and have not heard a word from the warranty dept. I got the "Covid" excuse that it could take some time to get back but 2 months?

Century Communities responded:
Bryan-We will contact the local team to see where this is and have them get back to you. COVID has put a damper on a lot of aspects in the industry. You will be taken care of. Thank you for your feed back.

We've heard many stories, but I'll share just our own. We signed in May, 2020 but right away, things started to change. The builder decided to make changes that we hadn't signed off on, and it was a struggle to get those things that helped us make the decision to buy. We were caught in the interim stages of "that's what it was, this is how we are changing the homes for the future". A lot were architectural changes that weren't consistent with the model that we based our buying decision on. Throughout the process we felt we had to visit the construction site every other day to maintain the ...

The salesman was very responsive to my questions and if he didn't know himself, he made sure to find out quickly. Unfortunately the builder wasn't as accommodating to our requests especially when our inspector noticed issues. Luckily we had our own inspection because it failed in almost every step of the way. We were able to get the major issues fixed but minor issues weren't taken into account. Also Inspire Home loans process is terrible and not worth the design credit. You need to improve that process/ communication because they made the process extremely difficult, especially when ...

Our personal experiences with individuals (sales staff, design staff and construction staff) were cordial, professional and as-to-be expected. However, it is obvious the home was built with the lowest-cost materials / methods. The concept of "craftsmanship" is wholly absent.

Sales Experience was amazing with Anette, would love to work with her again and cant recommend her more. Our construction foreman was great, kept us up to date, took the time to answer lots of questions and did the best he could under the circumstances. The actual resulting house due to sub par subcontractors is the real negative overall. Trim, paint, drywall, tile, landscaping, etc. No pride in their work and a corner cut/rushed finished product. The warranty process has been ok so far but we are having them come back to do things that never should have had to be done in the first place. ...

Still waiting for exterior trim over window to be painted. Bathroom Floor was promised to be replaced. Instead it was patched Working with corporate on a closing was terrible. As a Broker for 40 years it was stunning how inept Century Corporate could be. Fortunately, One of the sales staff was very professional ,helpful and a pleasure to work with. Overall we are happy with our home. Although, it was after many issues resolved, and some still remain. The follow up and communication has been very poor. With our tick list items still at bay, and some very lacking expertise on homes and construction in general. I feel that the employees who do the final walkthrough and tick list items are not skilled in building construction or finishing. We were told many untrue things such as a ceiling register being a “whole house fan” or when I found the radon fan unplugged in the attic, “oh good catch, no one really goes up there after the ...

Sales team was great. Quality of materials and warranty team are not so great. I have had about ten issues since I moved in three months ago and half of them are still not fixed after multiple trips out. Things we asked them to fix were missed between final walkthrough and closing. Shortcuts taken like missed caulking. Random maintenance people coming out for issues not related to my house. Very frustrating experience from the time I closed until now, and hate having to spend so much extra time micromanaging the maintenance team.

Overall the buying process was pretty seamless. I liked that all the parties involved were part of the same company so that helped make sure everything went relatively smoothly. We purchased a home that the original buyer had dropped out of so we didn’t experience any of the selection process but happy with what the other buyers picked. After moving in though we noticed a lot of workmanship issues that we missed during the excitement of the pre-move in walkthroughs. Things you can definitely tell they were rushing to finish before our closing date that got moved up 2 weeks. Paint drops on the ...
