Willingness to accommodate first-time buyer's lack of knowing what to do.

In this very crowded market, Century Communities knows the importance of "after purchase" service. They actually go out of their way to serve.

Century Communities responded:
Dennis- we will share with the team. Thank you for taking the time to let us know your experience. (:

Bought a Spec house that was already set to go. Was pleasantly surprised on the efficiency of the whole process and the responsiveness (especially during COVID) to a couple of minor details we found after move-in.

Century Communities responded:
Thank you David for sharing. Welcome home.

Our experience with century home was fantastic. The craftsmanship of the home is very good . My only complaint is that the cabinets in the kitchen are not very good quality. But overall you can't go wrong with a century home.

Century Communities responded:
Brain- we're glad your overall experience was fantastic.

Century Communities - Orientation good, house perfect no complaints, but when I moved

Orientation good, house perfect no complaints, but when I moved inside the house and I every single cabinet have a holes inside, I moved the oven to clean and I found some holes in the wall with ants, the kitchen cabinets are not attached properly, the house is under warranty so I called customer service for an appointment more than a month and still today I have not received any calls, if I try to call they answer "it is not an emergency" before proceeding with the purchase Century homes Houses, look for anything, even small details.

Century Communities responded:

Small Details Missed and No Follow Up

  • Pete Y.
  • Verified HomeBuyer

The sales and design process were great, but follow up on construction issues is non-existent. Several spots on the exterior were supposed to be touched up and we have a few missing pieces of trim in the kitchen. We were also told we would be given some extra paint, but never received it. The issues could have been easily taken care of when the construction crews were still here completing the last homes in the community, but they were not.

Century Communities responded:
Thank you Pete for your candid response. We will forward this to the team in LV to have someone contact you.
You can also submit a warranty claim for this or any further warranty claims to www.century communities.com.

Century Communities - Buying experience was great as both Victor and Robin were very

Buying experience was great as both Victor and Robin were very helpful in updating us with the construction progress. Design center was helpful, the upgrade price was too high comparing with outside contractors doing the same work though. Follow up work is terrible. Three months after we moved in, we are still waiting for the builder to repair the items noted in the walk-through. Other items discovered later including the laundry room cabinet appeared to be installed upside down. Exterior touch-up pint, which could be done while the construction workers were still doing the construction ...

builder is not responsive to requests for fixing things (touch-up, cracked, etc..)after moved in. It has been 3 months and there is no response to the requests. Electrical outlet and ceiling vent were not mounted and dangling during move in. Debris and trash were left on the side yards.

Century Communities responded:
Anthony- we will inform the Division. If you haven't used the website, please submit all claims at www.centurycommunities.com Their is a tab at the top that says homeowners.

Century Communities - I did not move into the house.

I did not move into the house. I sold it instead. However, there are far too many “extras” that need to be purchased. Very little given with the purchase of a new house.

Century Communities - Don’t recommend them if you’re a first time homeowner like we

  • Christine ..

Don’t recommend them if you’re a first time homeowner like we are. You will be left lost and confused with no communication or information on who to contact. We bought our home and it was missing certain options that should have been included. Found out after moving in and trying to get settled that things were missing and it has caused more problems since our original customer service rep was less than helpful... when I questioned if items were missing during walkthrough, I was brushed off. I don’t know how they missed some of the stuff (electrical wiring) and no one caught it before we did. ...

Nice home, ugly process.

From the initial agreement documents (80+pages), to the lender they required me to use in order to get the incentives, to the punch list items, I have been frustrated beyond ever being able to enjoy this home. The owners are lawyers and their contract was an unconscionable document. I should have had an attorney review but of course the agreement had to be executed then because they claimed it would be sold that day. High Pressure tactics. Punch list items have never been addressed partially because of the pandemic, but after submitting requests thru their online warranty portal, I have yet ...

Century --- disappointing

  • Laura B.

I’m part way through my 4th month of owning my first home. Meeting my neighbors and sharing stories – some of them horror about our brand new homes. I think I’ve faired a bit better than some, but overall I have decided the quality of the home is not worth the money I paid for it. It’s become very clear to me the reason my house was ready 1.5 months earlier than anticipated --- it was a poor construction job with poor and cheap materials – it was rushed! I’ve submitted many service requests to fix some of my issues and will be submitting many more. I am trying to be patient with my place ...
