I moved in December of last year and while i love the house and community i can’t say i love the company. The lot was not well kept while construction was going on so when remodeling i found Gatorade bottles and miscellaneous hardware and tools in my walls. I’ve only remodeled the bathroom so i could only imagine the waste in the other walls. They damaged two out of three tubs when they brought them in and only repaired them. Kind of disappointed with that but they were decent repairs. They also damaged my front door when putting in the door knob and have yet to come repair it. There were scheduled times to come and fix it but showed when outside of that time and i wasn’t home. They gave me an incentive for moving in which was nice. Century wants everyone to think they care after the sale but the missed deadlines to get problems fixed shows there is a problem somewhere in the management chain. Lower end materials are used in construction. Anything above low end must be added on at a price.

Everything was going well, until I got into my house. There's MAJOR issues, that I have submitted multiple Warranty Claims for and they have not been addressed or acknowledged. I have been in my house a little over 3 months now and I can understand that they may be backed up, but if I'm continually contacting you, then I should at least get a response. That's called common courtesy and professionalism. I love my house, but the experience so far since I've been in my house is making me consider moving. Mostly everything that’s wrong with this house should have been caught before the workers moved to the next phase of building. It like the person checking behind them just gave the work a check off hoping that the home owner wouldn’t notice anything until the year is up. I have yet for them to fix my air conditioning. They sent a guy out to close a vent on one of the rooms making it hit in that room just so the other room could have airflow. I told them that didn’t work a month later no one has came to fix it and I told them my 75 year old mother sleeps in one of the rooms. The wall in my loft is cracking two months have gone by not addressed. Lumps are underneath the carpet, the lining at the top of my cabinet the wood is damaged the worker just painted over it hoping it would not be noticed. They came and replaced some of the plants by planting a plant that’s already dead. When they send people to your home they talk to you as if it’s the owners fault that they have to come out and repair something that should have been done correctly the first time. The Landscaping Supervisor had me in tears because he said the plants were dying because they were over watered. The guy that came back to plant the plants said the set the system that way so the plants can get enough water. He had to make a excuse for the way Frank had made accusations that it was the cause when I never touched the system since I moved in here. I understand we are human and we all make mistakes, but these homes costs too much money to be thrown together just to make a profit, then later the home owner pays the double price. Why do you pay a person that suppose to check behind them when too many things are going unnoticed. After a owner moves in the have to open their home back up for workers to come in and out to fix things that should have been caught before move in. ... More

Once we decided to buy the house and signed the papers our primary agent ignored us but other agents stepped in and filled the gap answering questions and addressing our concerns. It has been difficult getting a response from the representative about fixing issues with the construction

From the initial agreement documents (80+pages), to the lender they required me to use in order to get the incentives, to the punch list items, I have been frustrated beyond ever being able to enjoy this home. The owners are lawyers and their contract was an unconscionable document. I should have had an attorney review but of course the agreement had to be executed then because they claimed it would be sold that day. High Pressure tactics. Punch list items have never been addressed partially because of the pandemic, but after submitting requests thru their online warranty portal, I have yet to even be acknowledged after more than a month. The lender is a subsidiary of Century and I had to use them to benefit from the incentives. They are incompetent at best. I have initiated more than a dozen home loans in the past, have an 800 + credit score and have never ever before been treated so poorly. They asked for document after document within 24 hours of closing, leaving no time for me to provide them, all thing that were easily produced weeks earlier. Stressful and frustrating to the end. They went so far as to make me sign a document at closing that I would provide additional proof of income after the loan funded!!! Of course within weeks they sold the loan to another bank but refuse after written and verbal requests to call the loan satisfied. So for 3 months now I have 2 mortgage loans on my credit file. It’s started well but finish was dicey. Refund for poor workmanship is still pending after 4 months closing escrow

Seems to be over priced with the cheap Matte paint, that’s nearly impossible to clean. The floors and countertops didn’t come sealed and must do that on your own. Everything about the house feel cheap.

Materials are average with several repairs required. Painting was incomplete or incorrect color/finish requiring painters to return to correct. Master closet clothing poles are pulling down away from shelving supports due to a combination of poor materials and too few supports and requires repair to be scheduled.

Happy with my sales guy but with rest not happy at all

Don’t recommend them if you’re a first time homeowner like we are. You will be left lost and confused with no communication or information on who to contact. We bought our home and it was missing certain options that should have been included. Found out after moving in and trying to get settled that things were missing and it has caused more problems since our original customer service rep was less than helpful... when I questioned if items were missing during walkthrough, I was brushed off. I don’t know how they missed some of the stuff (electrical wiring) and no one caught it before we did. Still waiting to have it all resolved. ... More

The builders were vary lazy and had no sense of pride in their work. Every day I find more and more stuff that they cut corners on. From afar the house looks really nice, but once you start looking you see how terrible of a job the tradesmen did.

Great house floor plan and location. Terrible finish quality. Builder is all about the $$$ and not the customer satisfaction.

Cortney is responsive and do her best to go above and beyond the customer service required but product quality is poor. Since the close of escrow, significant defects observed. Move in delayed by >3 months. Issues have yet to be resolved.

I’m part way through my 4th month of owning my first home. Meeting my neighbors and sharing stories – some of them horror about our brand new homes. I think I’ve faired a bit better than some, but overall I have decided the quality of the home is not worth the money I paid for it. It’s become very clear to me the reason my house was ready 1.5 months earlier than anticipated --- it was a poor construction job with poor and cheap materials – it was rushed! I’ve submitted many service requests to fix some of my issues and will be submitting many more. I am trying to be patient with my place in line to address my fixes as I know Covid delayed many requests ahead of me. During my walkthrough/orientation with John on May 22, we noticed the main water pipe in my garage was dripping. John told me to ‘keep an eye on it’! Of course with me being brand new to a house, I took John’s nonchalant comment to mean this is no big deal….main water pipes drip! Well John, shame on me for trusting you and shame on you for dismissing a major issue! That pipe dripped for months and caused a puddle and now a permanent stain on my garage floor and baseboard. Took 2 visits from a plumber to finally fix it! Many thanks to David who actually cared, took action and was angry along with me that this was let go and ignored by the company! Definitely poor workmanship in the first place which left some pretty hefty charges for the warranty team to have a plumber sent out twice! Think of the time and money that could have been saved if the pipe was properly installed in the first place! This issue seems to be resolved. Every time I look at the stain, I am reminded of the situation. There seems to be a disconnect between the builder and the HOA. Gates continue to remain open during the day even though construction is complete. Robin shared with me that she did notify the HOA that all homes were sold and the sales office was closed down. We’ve (me personally) have had teenagers from Rhodes Ranch walking on top of our walls, going into our yards and even the sales office house being vandalized. I was also told packages have been stollen from people’s front doors. The gate is not full proof, but would be best to have it closed at all times. I’ve reached out to the HOA --- zero response. The community looks like we have no HOA as some front yards are in shambles! Hoping we soon see why we pay $85 a month and the HOA holds home owners accountable! These were not cheap homes and I would hope all owners are held to the rules of the HOA and keep up with their landscaping. At the beginning of Aug, to my surprise, there were 4 workers breaking up the side walk at the end of my driveway. I was not notified whatsoever! I could not take my car out of my garage to go anywhere – I was stuck! I was told the wiring for the street’s internet was a mess and the only way to fix it was to dig it all up! Of course I understand it was unavoidable but whomever ordered this job should have the decency and respect to knock on my door to inform me and suggest I move my car out of the garage should I need it. But nope --- not Century! I contacted Cortny and she immediately came to speak to the workers to ask the same questions I did. She sincerely felt embarrassed that I was not informed and she could not apologize enough! Wow --- someone actually cares! At the end of the day I went back out to inquire about the days work. Unfortunately, the workers needed to come back the next day to dig in another section of the driveway. At least this time I could be proactive and move my car out of the garage. After 5 days of having a mess at the end of my driveway it was over, however part of my pavers on the driveway were damaged, a few plants were in disarray and there was sand everywhere! Cortny came to my rescue. She had my pavers fixed and my driveway and front door power washed. Cortny checked on me each day during the fiasco to make sure I was ok and keeping me informed. The ordeal ended with a lovely bouquet of roses at my front door. Cortny felt so bad on how this situation was handled, she took it upon herself to show me she cared and was here to help me and gave me lovely flowers. Unnecessary of course, but she made me feel like she truly cares and was and will be here to help me. Thank you Cortny! I guess now I can say I received a gift from Century ……because clearly along with the cheap construction, the build and sales teams are too cheap to provide a thank you gift to any of us in the community! Even a $100 gift certificate at Home Depot would have sufficed! I hear of other builders/sales in Las Vegas buying wine, gift baskets even Tiffany vases!!! Wow! I plan to make this my forever home, but can’t say I’d ever purchase from or recommend Century. Seems the construction team do a half-a** job leaving the warranty team holding the bag of damaged goods not to mention having to deal with frustrated and angry home owners. My feedback to Century is to increase the standards of quality and hire construction workers who know what they are doing and care to do a decent job. ½ million dollar homes should not have the issues we are having! And I would bet the warranty team would save thousands if the construction was done properly and materials were of higher quality! As being a first time home buyer and being able to up grade and build my home just how I envisioned for my family at the start and through out the build was very exciting. Until I did my walk through I was very shocked on how many things were left undone or not finish from cut out in the dry wall to doors not being painted, which after the walk through the superintendent had 5 days to complete or fix due to the closing date 12/28/2020. Upon my closing date I did a secondary walk with the superintendent Ryan who I showed areas of my concern such as (2) of the master bedroom windows not opening properly which later after moving in came back down on my son’s hand, areas on the walls that seem to not to get much paint, scratches on the dry wall, over spray on the stains cabinets, holes in the Grout, at one point he pointed out areas such as the Exterior pop outs needing to be repainted due to Still being able to see the gray color from the original color of the stucco. All witch are things I never signed off on but due to having to move from my old residence I had to move in however he assured me that my house would be addressed and I would be taken care off, which never happened for weeks I called him or texted him and ever week I got the same answer ( IM SORRY I GET SOME OVER THIS WEEK) after weeks of wait and be patient I tried different ways to get my house addressed such as I tried making a complaint with the sales office nothing happened, I even made a service request 3 or 4 times and I was told a ticket was created, that’s been 3 weeks now and still nothing happened, i have been in my home now been in my home for over 3 month and now to the point to where I’m looking to hire a painter and carpenter to fix my windows. Overall poor quality and workmanship. I definitely will not recommend Century to anyone. Chris helped me get most everything repaired, but there should not have been so many issues. They were all related to poor workmanship and being disorganized.

Build on the cheap. Gloss over the product with fictional hip and sell on the high side to back up the hip. It would be difficult to trust this builder if I were to still be in the market for a home and know what I know about their product. This home was to be our last home and due to our age it most likely will. Century Communities failed with this house and if the lack of workmanship present in this house is an example of their attention to design and detail, I feel others who have bought from this builder may be experiencing buyers remorse as I am feeling with ever issue I deal with. There are design issues in the Kitchen that should never have happened if the builder had been paying attention and cared just a little. The builder said the home had upgrades totaling $31,000.00 plus that they were deducting from the value of the house. I'm still looking for the $31,000.00 in upgrades. Truth be known, I believe $31,000.00 was a serious hip to sell a house that had not produced a customer in several months. The house did come with washer and dryer, side-by-side frig, and a gas range. All are low end appliances so the value is not there. We have replaced the garbage disposal because the one that came with the new house was defective. The lower cabinets on either side of the range have limited use due to the design of the kitchen which also produced flaws in drawer and cabinet door movement requiring rubber stops to be put on the range and frig to soften the contact made by the drawer near the range and upper cabinet door next to the frig. The trim paint around doors throughout the house have paint runs and a damaged corner on the guest room door frame. The $31,000.00 in upgrades did not include a Range-top Microwave which they explained away at the walk-thru as giving us an option on the type of Microwave we might want. The vent hood exhaust was so weak we purchased a Microwave sooner than expected. While installing the Microwave we discovered that the adjustable vent located inside the above-the-range cabinet was a mix of aluminum parts that did not fit together and was completely held together with aluminum tape. Another botched job hidden by a lot of lazy creativity. The builder installed landscape on the garage side of the house has plants planted on the high end of a slope that prevents the limited amount of water from the drip system from getting to the plants, We have had to remove one dead one already. The original tree on that same side was destroyed by high winds because the tree had not been properly maintained while the house was under the builder's care, but when it came time to replace the tree the staff tried to put the responsibility of replacement on me until it was proved that they were responsible for the landscaping for the first 90 days. They quickly changed that time frame to 60 days. The result of that issue caused us to be left with a new tree (stressed out from the heat) that was poorly planted and almost died until I started fertilizing and watering the tree. Still, most of the tree was lost but because there was living growth near the top of the tree, they refused to replace the tree that was not even close to the original lost tree. We have purchased other new construction homes here in the Vegas valley, but this is by far the worst experience we have had to deal with, and due to our experiences with what we asked them to take care of , we have decided to take care of our remaining issues to avoid the builder and their "warranty responsibilities". I just do not trust their commitment to their product or the oversight to see that the job is done correctly As part of the incentive to buy this house we were promised an early close which we needed to prevent storage fees and a later second move. The early close got some back-sliding but our realtor got involved to hold them to the agreed close date, the result of which caused friction among some departments who had to step up and make the close happen, but we , the customer, bore the brunt of the friction due to our unreasonable push for an early close that their sales department had agreed to. I understand the public can be difficult to work with at times, but my experience with this builder and their support staff tells me their business model is not guided by a strong desire to do their very best to accommodate the needs of the people who purchase their produce. But, It is my opinion , they do have a strong motivation to limit lot sizes and charge prices that do not reflect their product's value. ... More

The builder’s workmanship is poor. They pushed closing on a house that wasn’t ready. After delays with warranty in getting the initial walk-through items fixed because of COVID shutdowns, there is still a lengthy list of things that need to be completed. No ETA on when those things will get completed, even though warranty has now been open again for about 6 weeks. Terrible customer service and terrible follow-through. Choose another builder.

Extremely disappointed. Have had many problems, in addition, house has serious structural issues, which I have repeatedly brought to the attention to the Century Communities Las Vegas Management team. Thus far, my approaches have been 100% ignored. Absolutely amazing. I am disgusted.

I never imagined my new home would be this much if a disappointment. From the superintendent to the new orientation, and not to forget the poor quality. Once we moved in everything has gone downhill, and all of our concerns have proven to be legitimate issues within our home.

Finding many flaws in craftsmanship. List grows every week

We paid hard earned money for a new home. The Sales Process and Sales Team was wonderful. But the rest is substandard. If I had to do it over again, I would pass. We have issues that were cataloged during final walk-thru that remains unresolved. They haven't been in touch in months. Workmanship is horrible and clearly their is no pride in what they do. We notified the Project Manager of issues during construction and he just ignores them. I wish I had positive things to say about my experience because this was my dream home. I worked all my life to get this home. But I just can't.

We bought our home in April and have yet to fully move in. The amount of repairs are endless, to get someone to show up, show on time, or even get a response is impossible. Our floors have been replaced once and less than a week later had the same issues. The bosses came and looked, agreed and promised they’d have an answer to fix within 2 days. It’s been 2 weeks and we have yet to hear anything from them. If you want a home to call home and new one ready to move into this isn’t the company you’d want to purchase with.
