They rush you and make you seem like you have to sign and close when they want. After you move in there is a bunch of problems that they take their time on completing and give you the run around. And cause more issues to get fixed

Century Communities - The quality control on these homes is terrible.

The quality control on these homes is terrible. We are still trying to get things repaired and attended to 4 months later. It is a nightmare trying to get anything done. Even when the subs come out often times you have to babysit them to make sure it's done right. If I could go back I would not buy this home, and will avoid ever purchasing from Century in the valley. Not even the Division President cares about the quality of his products. When I emailed him he quickly pawned it off to lower level employees without a care. When speaking with neighbors, almost all the families in my community ...

Century does not deliver anything in a professional manner, see below for details exprrience Cosntruction quality: missing baseboards paints and doors during pre close orientation, on closing date none if these issues were resolved. It took months to resolve the issues that were supposed to be done by closing. quality is so cheap, missing alignmnets, switches aligned incorrectly, you name it everything sucks Service/warranty: no one picks up calls, once they pick the call they will telm you it will take few months to get it done as others before you have logged issues. Construction quality is poor. I was forced to occupy with major open issues like foyer with rough wall and partially painted, Kitchen drawer beneath gas stove doesn't close touching gas pipe at back, most of the walls are not leveled and list goes on and on but no response from construction team am on fixing pending issues. Overall experience from all century team members including sales , marketing , lending and after-sales has been really poor....

Century Communities - They were not flexible with options even when I wanted to replace

They were not flexible with options even when I wanted to replace one option with other and pay more. Every time I asked for something, I was given a threat that other people are ready to buy it. They changed date a couple of times, which was a nightmare since I already committed to sell my previous place. I was given the home with lot of issues and dirty garage. Maintenance team is not answering and I have most of those issue pending.

To many issues with the home that were not addressed in a timely manner. Quality of the home for the purchase price was exceedingly overpriced. And when having an issue addressed regarding the craftsmanship, Century employees conduct was unprofessional, rude, and threatening. I feared for my safety when dealing with this employee. So much that I had to ask the employee to leave my property.

This experience has been an absolute nightmare. From the builders not following the plans to just plain leaving things unfinished. They have made all kinds of promises that have not been followed up. When we walked the house on the day of closing they forced us to sign off on the house even though it was not finished and had many problems that needed to be addressed. They threatened that if we did not sign off on the condition of the house we would not be allowed to close and would possibly lose the house and our deposit. We have lived here for 4 months and still our home is not finished even ...

I closed the house on Jan 29th, first issue arose when the pipe behind the bathroom shower burst flooding the basement and closets. The bathroom tiles 2 of them have been taken out and the carpet removed. Literally it is more than a month now and I have not been able to use the shower. The customer experience is very bad the maintenance crew never show up on time and they block the whole day just to stay at home for them cancelling all my appointments. They never update / give courtesy calls , if i reach out to the warranty team they hit back at me asking not to call them and are very rude. ...

There was a bit of a bait and switch on the pricing. The sell sheet, we were issued on a house, the sales person had written down. Once we began the contract process a new price appeared and had to be renegotiated. There was an area of the floor which felt like you were walking up hill. The difference was 5/8 of an inch drop over 4 feet. After having several contractors stop by, they decided that although this was an issue of seating of the joist on the foundation wall, they were just going to grind down the subfloor to resolve it. The contractor came and took out an 1/8, which did not ...

I moved into my house 12/31, since then there has been cracking all over the house. Floor boards are separating, and paint mismatches all over. can't hang my close in the master closet with out it falling apart. Thursday 4/9/2021 I turned my a/c on, it doesn't work. The cabinets are poorly assembled. We need to bring some to the house to inspect the construction again,

Lower your expectations. Houses are built based on speed not quality. Floors and uneven, walls aren’t straight, paint drips and missed spots everywhere, gaps in all finishes. Warranty items are only responded to if you state “water is leaking”.

Century Communities - We had many many problems throughout the build process.

We had many many problems throughout the build process. Our salesman was pretty unresponsive to emails. We had multiple things not finished before closing, and the only reason I closed was because we'd lose $10K if we didn't. We still have an issue with our roof that I pointed out to them at least 4 months before close. The area manager told me they would fix it, but here we are 4 months post-close, and the issue still remains. Overall, a horrible process and will absolutely never build a home with Century Communities again.

Working with Craig has been absolutely miserable. He doesn’t respond to messages and shrugs off any issues I have with my house. No one responds to warranty issues. Lori has been absolutely worthless in assisting with contacting Craig. When it came to taking money in the beginning, I received nothing but emails and text messages from Lori. Now I have heard nothing from her regarding any issue I have had with my house. I wish I never purchased a home with Century Communities.

Century forced closing on house purchase before house was completed and has failed to complete punchlist items for 3 1/2 months and counting.

Century applied an arbitrary lot premium to the purchase price which was significantly higher than purchase price of adjacent lots and would not adjust the purchase price after the price of adjacent lots was discovered through search of public records. The date of closing was unilaterally scheduled before the house was completed and there are outstanding punchlist items that still have not been completed 3 1/2 months after closing. Numerous cosmetic repairs were required after closing and took multiple appointments to complete. Countertops were damaged during construction and have not been ...

I do not have many good things to say about the experience with this builder. The entire process from start to finish was extremely stressful. I had to micro manage each piece of the process to ensure details were not missed, and an accurate job was done. Even after closing, I am experiencing issues with the title company under the Century Communities umbrella. From the beginning, it was difficult to get under contract with Century. Even after going under contract, there were numerous issues that came up even before excavation began. Those troubles, and other issues came up throughout ...
