It's been a bad experience, have so many issues with the house and after repeatedly sending messages to the folks who are responsible for the warranty work, no one has contacted me. I am very disappointed with this builder, i can only hope that this degraded way of working is because of covid.

Worst experience through out all phases - contract, buying, warranty issues. Sales agents do not have any information/experience with their job, you always get wrong information. Building quality is poorest. I moved in 2 months back. I already have multiple serious issues. One of them is water leak in basement. Warranty: You will never get a response from warranty nor issues will get fixed

I’m part way through my 4th month of owning my first home. Meeting my neighbors and sharing stories – some of them horror about our brand new homes. I think I’ve faired a bit better than some, but overall I have decided the quality of the home is not worth the money I paid for it. It’s become very clear to me the reason my house was ready 1.5 months earlier than anticipated --- it was a poor construction job with poor and cheap materials – it was rushed! I’ve submitted many service requests to fix some of my issues and will be submitting many more. I am trying to be patient with my place in line to address my fixes as I know Covid delayed many requests ahead of me. During my walkthrough/orientation with John on May 22, we noticed the main water pipe in my garage was dripping. John told me to ‘keep an eye on it’! Of course with me being brand new to a house, I took John’s nonchalant comment to mean this is no big deal….main water pipes drip! Well John, shame on me for trusting you and shame on you for dismissing a major issue! That pipe dripped for months and caused a puddle and now a permanent stain on my garage floor and baseboard. Took 2 visits from a plumber to finally fix it! Many thanks to David who actually cared, took action and was angry along with me that this was let go and ignored by the company! Definitely poor workmanship in the first place which left some pretty hefty charges for the warranty team to have a plumber sent out twice! Think of the time and money that could have been saved if the pipe was properly installed in the first place! This issue seems to be resolved. Every time I look at the stain, I am reminded of the situation. There seems to be a disconnect between the builder and the HOA. Gates continue to remain open during the day even though construction is complete. Robin shared with me that she did notify the HOA that all homes were sold and the sales office was closed down. We’ve (me personally) have had teenagers from Rhodes Ranch walking on top of our walls, going into our yards and even the sales office house being vandalized. I was also told packages have been stollen from people’s front doors. The gate is not full proof, but would be best to have it closed at all times. I’ve reached out to the HOA --- zero response. The community looks like we have no HOA as some front yards are in shambles! Hoping we soon see why we pay $85 a month and the HOA holds home owners accountable! These were not cheap homes and I would hope all owners are held to the rules of the HOA and keep up with their landscaping. At the beginning of Aug, to my surprise, there were 4 workers breaking up the side walk at the end of my driveway. I was not notified whatsoever! I could not take my car out of my garage to go anywhere – I was stuck! I was told the wiring for the street’s internet was a mess and the only way to fix it was to dig it all up! Of course I understand it was unavoidable but whomever ordered this job should have the decency and respect to knock on my door to inform me and suggest I move my car out of the garage should I need it. But nope --- not Century! I contacted Cortny and she immediately came to speak to the workers to ask the same questions I did. She sincerely felt embarrassed that I was not informed and she could not apologize enough! Wow --- someone actually cares! At the end of the day I went back out to inquire about the days work. Unfortunately, the workers needed to come back the next day to dig in another section of the driveway. At least this time I could be proactive and move my car out of the garage. After 5 days of having a mess at the end of my driveway it was over, however part of my pavers on the driveway were damaged, a few plants were in disarray and there was sand everywhere! Cortny came to my rescue. She had my pavers fixed and my driveway and front door power washed. Cortny checked on me each day during the fiasco to make sure I was ok and keeping me informed. The ordeal ended with a lovely bouquet of roses at my front door. Cortny felt so bad on how this situation was handled, she took it upon herself to show me she cared and was here to help me and gave me lovely flowers. Unnecessary of course, but she made me feel like she truly cares and was and will be here to help me. Thank you Cortny! I guess now I can say I received a gift from Century ……because clearly along with the cheap construction, the build and sales teams are too cheap to provide a thank you gift to any of us in the community! Even a $100 gift certificate at Home Depot would have sufficed! I hear of other builders/sales in Las Vegas buying wine, gift baskets even Tiffany vases!!! Wow! I plan to make this my forever home, but can’t say I’d ever purchase from or recommend Century. Seems the construction team do a half-a** job leaving the warranty team holding the bag of damaged goods not to mention having to deal with frustrated and angry home owners. My feedback to Century is to increase the standards of quality and hire construction workers who know what they are doing and care to do a decent job. ½ million dollar homes should not have the issues we are having! And I would bet the warranty team would save thousands if the construction was done properly and materials were of higher quality! Century Communities does a great job at selling you a dream home, but lacks accountability and controls of their construction processes. Do you want to feel happy about your purchase and reassured that all requirements in the development and construction processes were met? Do you want a builder that follows through on their commitments when they’ve made an error? Wouldn’t you rather not have to chase down executives at their company to understand what’s going on with your property’s issues? If so, then I suggest you avoid Century Communities as your builder.

It’s been 4 months and I have submitted 4 tickets and not yet closed

Sales process was great. Quality of home is fine. However, the weekend prior to closing Century failed to secure our home, and subcontractors used our home as a break room. Due to work boots, Sheetrock mud, etcetera, our hardwoods were destroyed. We’re almost 4 months out now and century still hasn’t done the right thing and replaced them, even though their representatives agree that needs to happen. We have other issues as well. After sale, even though people are “nice” nothing seems to get accomplished. We’re extremely sad to say that we can not recommend Century due to post sale issues.

I will never recommend this company to anyone. Cheap materials and poor work ethics!
