So over all Ok with he local people, but our Fireplace and Stove top hood do not work properly. I submitted a claim for the fireplace in early November and one for the hood early December and have not heard a word from the warranty dept. I got the "Covid" excuse that it could take some time to get back but 2 months?

Century Communities responded:
Bryan-We will contact the local team to see where this is and have them get back to you. COVID has put a damper on a lot of aspects in the industry. You will be taken care of. Thank you for your feed back.

Mary was a exceptional sales agent. However, there was an issue with the construction and the floor plan. Century tried make it seem my fault which was totally false and charged me to fix it. I believe they are totally unprofessional and bullied the small guy. Terrible experience for an1st time home buyer. I hope I don’t regret moving in later

I closed escrow 3/31/21. Century Communities did not contact me 30 days after to see how things were going or if I needed repairs as they stated. I had to email Octavio. Out of a list of about 5 items needing attention only one has been taking care of and no mention of the others. (that was a couple months back). In my opinion, materials used are not of good quality. My baseboards have been chipped twice just from dropping something that hits against the wall. this should not be. The are many imperfections in my stucco, granite counters are stained from installation, my water in the ...

Buying our home with Century

Dawn our sales representative was wonderful to work with, our walk thru was rushed to where a person could not point out defects of the builders. We have a list of at least 30 things wrong, defective or broken in the home and no one will get back to us on the warranty side. Uneven floors on the main level, broken cabinets by installer, dryer vent blocked in the laundry room and has destroyed the dryer, holes in the grout in shower area. Uneven paint inside and out. The list goes on and on. would not recommend these homes to anyone interested in considering a new build. We are totally ...

Angad our warranty rep is amazing. Always answers questions and helps out any way possible. Century has a gem. Without his attention to detail and customer service, I would have probably rated differently than what I did.

Our realtor had to run interference for us at times. The builder agent disappeared shortly after the signed contract, but fortunately we were able to speak with another one to work through the build. Financing was easy with the preferred lender, but there was little info relayed regarding the house status during construction. I built a relationship with the foreman to keep informed. We rushed financing to close in mid-December then SILENCE only to FINALLY close in late January after initiating the contract in early July. Due to the massive construction boom, I feel owners are not held as ...

Century Communities - My experience was good buying the the property and I am happy.

My experience was good buying the the property and I am happy. But I feel the following things can be improved: - I am not sure if this issue is with all the builders but Century Builder is not open to small changes like putting double sink in bathroom, adding a door in bathroom etc. even if you request before the construction starts. - If you have any warranty issues just submitting a ticket online does not work, you have to call multiple times to bring the issues to their attention. Big improvement is needed here.

Great Build Experience, Very Poor Transfer From Build to Warranty

  • Robert R.

We had a great build experience. However since moving in it’s been the opposite. Three months after closing we have items left from our pre-closing walkthrough incomplete. The few warranty items we’ve reported have not been addressed. We never receive updates unless we ask. I have to give the “after the closing” process a 1 out of 5.

Century Communities responded:
Robert- We have talked to the team and they are reaching out to you. Thank you for sharing. The COVID19 pandemic has put lots of our trades behind the last couple of months due to Government/State mandates not letting them in your home but now that restrictions have eased we are working diligently to get back on track and get your taken care of.

Overall not to bad. Buyers must make sure that all walkthroughs are done 100% and documented. Make sure that the extras that you are paying for are what you want before they are done. Once done they will not change it. Be very specific before you sign the bottom line.

Well to the builders way, I will say I was relocating and didn’t comb through with a fine tooth comb. Upon moving in, I had a smoke detector hanging down, cracked cabinets, cracked baseboards, no grout in my tile (kitchen nor bath), I can clearly see the pieces of drywall, one wall is bowing, my roof leaked already, no seal around the pipe venting to outdoors... The quality of work is just not there for over 300k.

It's a beautiful home, however, there are so many little issues that it's disappointing. It's a big investment and you would expect to have a quality product at the end. There is not a lot of pride taken to ensure that every trade completes quality work. My kitchen cabinets have paint left from either the painting of the cabinets or touch ups done after the fact, no one bother to clean these up. There are corners of the cabinet and door frames that are chipped. The tile floor that I paid so much for an upgrade, has sloppy finishes throughout. When the house was being built I noticed ...

Houses are beautiful from a distance. After settling in, began discovering mulitiple workmanship and craftsmanship issues that weren't expected for a half a million dollar home. What's more, the company representative assigned to resolve our issues attempted to convince me that the defects we were finding were supposed to be that way. Improperly cut glass shower doors, warped or damaged flooring, paint and drywall putty stained carpets, and faulty track rollers on closet doors are among the defects discovered that took too long to correct or still pending resolution. The stained carpet is ...
