Overall poor quality and workmanship. I definitely will not recommend Century to anyone. Chris helped me get most everything repaired, but there should not have been so many issues. They were all related to poor workmanship and being disorganized.

Century Communities responded:
Allen- we will speak with Chris and the rest of the team. Workmanship is something to take pride in and strive to insure. Thank you for taking the time to share.

Century Communities - It's been a bad experience, have so many issues with the house

It's been a bad experience, have so many issues with the house and after repeatedly sending messages to the folks who are responsible for the warranty work, no one has contacted me. I am very disappointed with this builder, i can only hope that this degraded way of working is because of covid.

Century Communities responded:
Vineeta- Yes, COVID has made things very difficult. Century has been working through the back log of requests that were on hold for a few months. We will contact the division on your behalf

Build on the cheap. Gloss over the product with fictional hip and sell on the high side to back up the hip. It would be difficult to trust this builder if I were to still be in the market for a home and know what I know about their product. This home was to be our last home and due to our age it most likely will. Century Communities failed with this house and if the lack of workmanship present in this house is an example of their attention to design and detail, I feel others who have bought from this builder may be experiencing buyers remorse as I am feeling with ever issue I deal with. ...

Century Communities responded:
Thank you for sharing. We truly take your experience seriously. Your comments and experience will be used for future training purposes on how we can improve. Your tree will be replaced in the spring.

Absolutely Regret Purchasing.

Due to a leak in my wall from a drain pipe that was never properly connected to the plumbing, I’ve dealt with issue after issue. The first leak started on March 27th and I am STILL waiting for wards Er to finish repairs on July 7th. They’ve left my stove disconnected from the gas since June 18th for the repairs and I haven’t been able to cook at home since. They replaced two cabinets from the water damage and damaged another cabinet in the process, then covered the damage with a piece of unfinished trim. I would never recommend this builder and I regret purchasing my first home through this ...

Century Communities responded:
Sessil- we spoke to the team. We have completed all remediation, cabinets are installed, tops back on, tile punch complete, oven and anti tip device installed.

The builder will be coming by on Monday to look at the cabinet with you.

Don’t buy a home through Century Communities

The builder’s workmanship is poor. They pushed closing on a house that wasn’t ready. After delays with warranty in getting the initial walk-through items fixed because of COVID shutdowns, there is still a lengthy list of things that need to be completed. No ETA on when those things will get completed, even though warranty has now been open again for about 6 weeks. Terrible customer service and terrible follow-through. Choose another builder.

Century Communities responded:
Jennifer- thank you for sharing your experience with us. We have forwarded this to the leadership team. We know the COVID19 epidemic hasn't been anyone's freind. We are dilligently working to catch up to all work orders that have come in with safety in mind.

Poor quality and workmanship. Had to spend a lot of money after moving in to upgrade electrical in home. Communication at closing very poor, just found out that the HOA dues are to be paid up front at the beginning of the year for the entire year. Was not told this at closing. Not a very trustworthy builder. Would not buy again from this company.

The houses are poorly built. I had many problems with my house after moved in less than a month. water damage, AC, water leaking etc. you name it. Let alone other small things. I have bought new houses before. I have to say Century community is by far the worst regarding to quality which is the essence to the builder. Really hope Century Community can take the quality seriously. People are buying houses to live there for years to come. Please have some work ethics and build good houses. Otherwise, you are just wasting land!

We are having major problems - as well as our neighbors. Floor, HVAC, major settling, drywall issues, yard issues, etc. Overall very inferior workmanship. First response to a problem is always the cheap way out. Argument ensues. After several more proposed "solutions" they finally agree to do the right thing - which is never done with excellence. Paid for a new house. Got a house full of problems and headaches. 100% regret buying.

Century Communities responded:
Would have been helpful to get your name to gather constructive feedback. Stephanie Caldwell is the Customer Relations Manager there and has an amazing heart for people. We don't profess to build perfect -- because nothing is in life -- but when issues arise, Stephanie has a track record for acknowledging where the team/trades/product fell short and works towards resolution.

Century is a terrible corporate builder with no commitment to customer

Century runs all design, construction, and management decisions from a corporate level without granting any flexibility to the individual markets. They care 100% on numbers and not perception or customer feedback. My 30 day post closing review that criticized Century's processes was used to reprimand the local team who were doing everything they could under the constraints of the corporate policies coming out of Denver. I have also had to fight for repairs under warranty that were deemed unnecessary until the 10-month warranty repair, with a complete lack of understanding that the items need ...

Don't sign until you get a commitment to fix what is noted as wrong. We have windows that need replaced-we have a refrigerator that sits in the middle of our kitchen because of the water hook up, the sprinkler was not hooked up when they did the front yard-you call-you get zero response back-just blow you off. Just get back to us, fix these issues and everyone will speak highly of your company

I’m still waiting on fixes to issues with my home that I reported back in August, Others in the Century Communities neighborhood have reported the same problems and concerns. The company needs to improve their customer service and keep their word. One of my biggest issues right now is that we have to run the water for over a minute to start getting somewhat hot water. The company advertises these are energy efficient homes and they’re not. I’ve never had utility bills this high anywhere else before. I’ve also had to report on other issues multiple times to have only some of them be addressed ...

The house is beautiful, but the details show many issues. The paint job on the base molding is not smooth you can actually see the spray and the dots. This makes it difficult to clean with the surface is not smooth. The drywall has soo many issues, the workers really did not care when they worked on my house. Walking into the model home everything looks amazing and how a nee build show look. But my house does not have the same care that went into making the model. There is nail coming out of my corner round and is painted. Like how careless can one be? It is very dangerous and hard to see ...
