Good

Walls seem too thin between 2 rooms. Other construction material is good quality. AC vents could have been better positioned in the hallway. Definitely need to provide better microwaves. Wash basins are good but a little smaller in size. Overall quality is good.

Century Communities responded:
Deepshikha- we truly appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback. We take into consideration all opinions for future homes being built.

Good Value, Lacking Attention to Detail

Blake was easy to work with. We got a great lot with mature trees, just wish we had known about the smell beforehand. The house has a great layout and fits our needs perfectly. The lack of choices was frustrating, especially with the tile. We are having to change it after closing ourselves and of course now the wood look tile is going into the newer houses with cabinets that have less detail/are more modern. The quality of materials is there, but the attention to detail by the subs is lacking. All white paint was applied too thick and doors are damaged just from being shut along with items ...

I wish I have more input but it was too late to change as per rep.:(

Century Communities responded:
During the build process there are cut off times for selections so the home stays on schedule. If you bought an inventory home this applies as well because the home is finished.

Overall, the house is good quality and we are happy with our purchase, but handling warranty issues is not Century's forte. They do not respond quickly and still have not fixed our issues.

Century Communities responded:
Appreciate the feedback, and we would like more information to be able to better serve you. Unfortunately, the review is marked anonymous. Please email Laura Adame, our national customer relations liaison @ Laura.adame@centurycommunities.com so that she can pass onto the division your concerns. Thanks for reaching out.

Overall I do love my home however there have been some electric issues and internet issues with the area the home was built at. The homes in my area were all built on one electric small grid and we were without power for an entire week. My husband and I were not able to work that entire week. This is not okay when we’re told that the home was built in reliable area to get the resources we need in order to work from home everyday.

I loved working with Julie in sales, and Gerret, the construction manager. I was very disappointed that I received no response to the claim that I submitted on the website....it was sent months ago, and I haven't heard anything. There were some punch list items that were not completed, even after I was assured that someone would return to my home to take care of them.

Century Communities - The house itself is great, but I was told I would receive a garage

  • Sam ..

The house itself is great, but I was told I would receive a garage door credit if I put my deposit down that day, to which I did. Later I was told that since I went with an outside lender, I would not receive that credit. That stipulation was never specified prior to me putting my deposit down. I brought it up many times and I was either ignored or just told there was nothing that can be done. As mentioned, the property as far structure is amazing, but the peer to peer communications were absolutely horrid

Have had three different builder contacts over 6-month period. latest problem was an air conditioner issue called our contact was told to put it on the website, which we did, ended up fixing it myself it took a week for anybody to respond.

Century Communities responded:
Hello Carol, Thank you for sharing. I know during this COVID19 it's been hard on everyone and has delayed service performance due to trade availability. We shouldv'e been communicating with you more so you knew the status. We will communicate this to the team. Thank you for your patience during this unpresidented time.

Do not sign the Pre-Close Orientation document before all the items are completed by your project builder, otherwise you will be chasing down the builder to follow up on the pending items. I learnt the hard way.

Century Communities responded:
We've spoken to the team about making sure all items are complete prior to a final sign off. If there is any warrantable items outstanding please visit our web site and file a claim under homeowners. www.centurycommunitities.com

The integrity from one construction manager (CM) to the next within the same development vary significantly. A neighbor’s CM was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond. Ours simply was not and only did what he was asked for repeatedly and I ally told to do by his or her supervisors.

Thank you for sharing. We wish all matters to be resolved at the point of sale at the end of the day we are happy that your concerns were addressed through the manager.

Within 2 months of move in, faced all kinds of issues. Smaller issues are taken care in warranty, but there are some major issues which requires some attention from Century which never happens. They acknowledge it's an issue but no clear communication on how and when its going to be fixed.

Not happy Avoid Century

I would avoid. Expensive house and Century wouldnt work on price on spec home with building issues. Supervisor rude to salesperson when discussing pricing. The worst part is the build quality is poor. Windows not level. Paint all over floor. Trash buried underneath sod. Missing items that we paid for. Construction supervisor does not hold construction people accountable. The most frustrating thing is construction supervisor is poor communicator and unresponsive.

Century Communities responded:
We have contacted the team in Black Hawk so we can address the concerns you have posted. For those outstanding concerns please submit a warranty claim to www.centurycommunities.com so we can set up an appointment with you.

We made our home purchase based upon the lot. The entire process with Century was a struggle. This is a one year build. The original construction manager was replaced halfway and of course all of the agreements and understandings disappeared with him including the marked up preconstruction plans. Here is a not all inclusive list of some of the problems. Sod was just laid over rocky sand. No borders were placed between sod and landscaping. Roof is stick framed. Master shower drain was clogged with trash and unmentionables. AC was not properly charged. Jacuzzi tub was changed to plain ...
