We like our home but the house has to many details that weren’t taken care of, we moved in the house and it was when Covid-19 just started so the excuse was that they couldn’t come inside the house

The overall experience in purchasing our new home was very good. I wish we could have had more of a say in what the colors of the exterior and interior of the house would be. I would have also liked to have had more tutorials on how to operate the HVAC system, etc. I would have also liked to have been given a touch up paint kit with all of the colors of the house since the paint on the walls is so thin, instead I was told that the colors were discontinued and not available. Why are houses being painted with paint that is being discontinued? Other than these few items we are really enjoying ...

Builder installed the wrong size (Too Big) attic stairs. They cut off the bottom so stairs would fully extend when open. But by cutting off the bottom, it is difficult for a person who is 6'2", to reach up and grab the bottom step to pull down and open the stairs. Disappointed in this aspect of the home. The rest of the home seems to be in good order.

Awesome Construction Super

The sales representative for Century was very kind, and the Construction Superintendent was stellar. He is a genuine Texas guy who cares a lot for his quality of work. He is willing to put in the extra time and work alongside his crew to make you love your house. A few small items that could be tweaked in the typical home design would be a slightly larger garage, some windows in the back second story, and less shallow bath tubs. The warranty department seems to be a little slow at responding so I have had to reach out to the Construction Superintendent to assist with small issues.

The sales team that we had was amazing, It really depends on the sales team and if you get a good one on one experience with your contractor, sales agent, and closing rep. The home is well-built and the process was smooth only because of them. The Corporate office, warranty process and attention to issues after closing was poor. How you file warranty claims after closing is horrible, it takes forever to get issues solved, and you have to follow up multiple times before anyone pays attention to your issue.

Many difficulties working with this builder, especially with thier borderline incompetent title company. Most things were eventually fixed but it was a complete pain in the *** for me to have to continually badger them and follow up again and again. Would not buy from them again.

The homes built are very beautiful and well built, they have very low attention to detail with closing issues. Lots of dust everywhere, no filters were in the hvac system, sprinklers were crooked, underneath the bannister were not painted

Problems from the beginning.

Bought the house in February. Since then the backyard does not drain properly. When the neighbor waters their lawn their runoff comes into my yard and stay there for days. Landscapers have tried twice to fix it they have failed. I now have a crack in the foundation all the way to the ground and the bricks are coming off on that corner. The ground water is coming up through the crack and continuing to increase the crack damaging the foundation even more. This is an extremely expensive fix.This house is only about four months old. This is ridiculous to have all these problems on a new house ...

I was really upset that I didn’t catch all the little details during the walkthrough but I was working 7 days a week and was tired at that time. As I got settled in I started noticing one thing after another. One warranty issue was resolved which was a ceiling fan that didn’t work. (You would imagine it would be tested during installation). I’ve submitted photos of all my issues (roughly 50 or so). I understand the Covid 19 situation put a damper on things but I’m still sitting in a home purchased at $205,000 that was done in poor quality. It seems as though it was rushed.
