***** sold the new townhouse unaware that a water leak permeated the entire first floor flooring. Add mold in the laundry room and kitchen to the equation.

The sales person was knowledgeable and friendly. Choosing colors and options was fairly easy. The amount of cost cutting is disappointing for a house over $500k. Skimped on the insulation, no drain in the garage or laundry room. Have someone who knows something about building/painting (not just a home inspector) thoroughly examine the home before closing. Go over everything with a fine-toothed comb and take lots lof pictures. Document everything! DO NOT CLOSE unless the house is 100% complete. Once they have your money you are not a priority anymore. 6+ weeks after closing there were still ...
