Check all doors, cabinets and garage doors. Too many chips, cracks and spaces in cabinets walls etc. Noises when closing the garage door. When you do the walk through, prior to signing, take the time to look carefully at the entire home. If you see inferior quality workmanship and the poor condition of doors and cabinets, say so.

We had a great field manager which was the highlight of our home building process with Dell Webb. We had a really bad experience with the design center and sales office. Coining out of our design center visit we had selected and signed off on a specific design for an inside fireplace. During construction we noticed that the area was being framed for a totally different design than what we had selected. So many issues with our house would have been avoided, and given Dell Webb a great reputation if they just slowed down. So many silly mistakes : pendant light electrical not hooked up, many outlets weren't working, blinds were jammed and had to be replaced, dishwasher didn't shut so it wouldn't work, bathroom door stopped closing, surround in guest bath was cut and left a gaping hole, taping of wall is covering the trim that runs along the floor since it's obvious they are in a hurry. Sales experience felt dishonest. The homesite we chose and even offered to put money down on and was promised was ours. (once it was released into inventory) Was sold a week later to someone else knowing that we had already committed to it. The explanation we were given was "My manager screwed up." Expecting a buyer to see every flaw or issue with items needing to be fixed in a walk through just before receiving keys is ludicrous. Was told a 2 inch scratch in glass shower door was out of warranty because I had not noted it on last walk through is ridiculous. It is noted that there is at least a year warranty on materials. Why is the glass not included? Have to wonder how many other problems that are discovered as time goes by will be brushed aside with a similar response. Final walk through and follow up left much to be desired

We were excited to do our walk through about a week before our closing date. There were still quite a few unfinished items, missing stove vent, stove, touch up paint, cabinet scratches etc. The representative jotted them down on a paper and we were supposed to sign off, go ahead and close and trust them to finish. We were told repeatedly it would happen in a day or two but it didn't. I understand there are labor shortages and supply chain issues but don't fib about it. At 30 days post close, I texted our guy and asked when we could expect the touch ups to be done. I never even got a response!

Poor quality of workmanship and materials

We love our new house and the sales team but the contractors and materials used are generally suspect. The painters were sloppy, did not use drop clothes and the paint was of poor quality - both inside and out. The stucco and roofing work was also done hastily and poorly. My opinion is that during COVID Pulte had too few contractors to keep up with sales which resulted in poor overall quality. We have numerous issues with our home after we received the keys and are still trying to resolve them nearly 2 months later. Watch every detail and don't move-in until you are satisfied. I am still waiting for a light bulb in my front porch and many other things to be fixed or explained how to be set up.

We moved in to our new home and it flooded with grey water the first day we were in because a fitting was lodged in the mail drain. That was September 5th. They had to saw out a 4'x4' section out of our slab. They did recapture exhaust from the saw and our house was FILLED with the dust of the concrete so bad that you couldn't see across the hall and all of the smoke alarms were going off. The choice of materials and configuration is very limited. And even though our contract specified FULL OVERLAY cabinets, we did not get them. And I'm still unhappy about that. I think you should live up to the terms of the contract.

The frustration experienced with expecting a quality build and getting less than that is terrible, especially when it’s next to impossible to get anything taken care of after closing. I'm going to put my comments into context of purchasing and building home during an extremely challenging time of Covid, supply chain issues and labor shortages. Our home took exactly one year to construct. Pre-Covid homes were built within 5-7 months. Took longer than expected

Building took longer than expected. Several issues with the roof that need to be repaired, The cabinets need repairs. Never recieved our cutlery drawer. Garbage can lids are bent. Painter missed several spots. Tile has different color gout in primary bath because they had to replace a tile. A hair line crack in a tile in primary bath. We’ve had experience with Pulte before and it was good. Pulte today is unresponsive to all the mistakes in the workmanship of these homes. At this point, I’m terribly disappointed in Pulte. It appears that nobody wants to take responsibility.

Large bureaucracy that struggles to provide customer service.

Disappointed in dealing with the Pulte bureaucracy when trying to get minors changes made during the build process. Pulte was more concerned with the process of building your house than it was to making sure they provided great customer service. Had to pay a $250 service charge to change out a refrigerator that cost less than the refrigerator that Pulte had scheduled for the house. Painting is a very poor quality and still cleaning or touching up paint issues.
