Fit and finish of the home was awful. They cut every corner on material they can to save money. Be aware of their building materials and practices before making a purchase.

Lack of communication between all departments

If we could have, we would have walked away from this home purchase, but we didn't want to forfeit our earnest deposit. Terrible communication, still waiting for final walk thru punch list to be completed. We've bought and sold many homes, this was the absolute worst buying experience we've ever encountered.

Every phase of new construction was bad.

This is our 4th Del Webb new home and the experience couldn't have been worse. From being forced to bid on lots, to the house no where near ready on Walkthrough Day (and I mean no master tub, no cooktop, etc!), to broken windows installed, to footprints IN the concrete of our front walk, to even painting my two garage doors DIFFERENT COLORS. There is no end to the disappointments. Had we deposited less money, we would have walked away.

Excitement quickly turned to disappointment

We did our walk thru and the place was a mess and was told they would do a final clean. Pointed out several issues inside and outside of the house. Received a text 3 days later that everything was fixed and we could move in. I am out of state so I did not come back for 3 weeks. When I arrived w truckloads of items to move in the majority of the walk thru stuff had not been complete and the house was filthy. The superintendent did get most items fixed in next 2 days but I should of never had to delay my move in or call people to come fix and clean. I am still trying to get the last few ...

Poor Quality, lack of attention to detail

Our first construction manager didn’t even contact US until after Sheetrock was complete. The second one was fantastic right up to final walk through, after that he became nonexistent. It’s been almost two months and we get no response on punchlist items. As to the lack of attention, walls are not square, most door’s are sticking, cabinets are coming apart, which to me means the construction manager it’s not holding the contractors to any quality standards.

Do not recommend Pulte.

I would not recommend Pulte unless you expect to miss the original delivery date by over 6 months, expect the quality of the workmanship to need extensive rework and the installed products to not meet your expectations even with upgrades.

BEWARE, you punch list will never get completed.

If you want a punch list a mile long that never get finished then this is the house for you. If not beware! Appointments are made and NOT kept and Pulte’s customer care group DOES NOT care.

Why doesn't Del Webb (Pulte) and other large company builders show their reviews on their sites like other businesses do? Think about it. These surveys are only helpful to perspective home buyers, not to people who have already built. It might make for a better building experience for both buyer and builder if the builder knew the good or poor results were being more predominantly shown on their own site. Again, think about it. And I must add that it is so ironic that the canned reply from Del Webb (Pulte) on problems are exactly what most people have already done with little to no success. ...

Purchased home in June 2021 and were hardly ever keep informed of the progress. We were told we would have a walk-through after installing our electrical which never occurred and are having several electrical problems. Finally moved in May 2022 and had an inspector come and found over a dozen issues, three which are major issues. Good luck calling customer service as they gave us the brush off. Pulte has nice floorplans and offer some very nice features with the houses that they sell however, the quality of Much of the work is subpar and very disappointing. For one example, three weeks after moving into my house (I moved in on April 4 ) I noticed water damage at the base of my kitchen island. I suspected it was the dishwasher leaking and immediately discontinued using it. The mortgage acquisition experience and the customer service after closing were deplorable. I have construction plaster on every corner of my house interior, the plumbing has been an ongoing nightmare since I closed 5 and a half weeks ago. My shower dripped day and night for 8 days. I sent a list to the customer service team 6 days ago and haven't heard a word! My toilet paper is parked on the floor. My bathroom sinks don't hold water.

Beware of the lack of quality in the home you are purchasing. Walls out of plum, countertops in bath areas out of plum due to walls mentioned. Floors not cleaned before move in. Poor paint finish on doors and trim. Cabinet supplier not standing behind a workmanship issue. The list goes on, but you can see the problems from this short list.

Punch List items are taking forever

I have been in our home 6 weeks, all of the whirlpool appliance do not work. Have to call Whirlpool directly, get a service technician out here - after 5 days he comes out and tells me he has to order parts that take 4 to 6 weeks. I paid over $600K for this home - all appliances should work. I would like a call from a Pulte Manager to discuss this problem

Lack of flexibility in changes is a problem. Most new owners spend the first month after move in redoing the interior of the house, discarding things Pulte put in and spending much money on replacements. Work crews show no pride in their workmanship. Many trades do substandard work which has to be redone three times to get it right. Don't expect the contractors to know what they are doing from the guys who pour the slabs to completion. Home was left dirty for us. Attic above garage not insulated. Wiring issues. Multiple paint spots on carpet. Dishwasher hose not connected causing water leak. Overspray and missed paint on exterior. No need for AC in July....

My AC has not worked properly since I moved in at the end on June. It's now August 15th and it's still now working. I was told that the thermostat not controlling temp was normal, I should be OK with it the 80's in my house. Black marks on my while tile floor...again I was told "that's how it's supposed to be. Back Splash tile are not all the same color. Again, I was told that was how it was supposed to be.
