Overpriced, Rushed to Meet Year-End Closing & Sacrificed Quality

Overpriced home for what we got and the builder rushed to finish construction to meet the 12/30/21 closing date which resulted in numerous areas unfinished (paint; punch list items; "placeholder" appliances instead of what we purchased; etc). It's been 5 weeks and we're still waiting on some items to be completed AND we still don't have our gas range.

Overall I am pleased with my new home. However, I am giving a 3 star average rating based on quality review. The kitchen cabinets were not hung evenly. Kitchen windows were uneven. The bathroom cabinets are also slightly uneven.

Many many little issues and a few larger ones. The larger issues were fixed fairly quickly, mostly by 3rd parties. HVAC by company that installed the unit, same for electric and plumbing. Issues with appliances were done by warranty service companies. Important tip- register ALL your appliances and equipment the day you move in. Chances are you will be asking for assistance before the day and/or week is through. Del Webb people are very friendly but you need to stay on the locals to get things done in a timely manner if ever. If you are good as a handyman, fixes and corrections will get done ...

My builder was very nice, however, I believe he was overloaded with too many houses he managed. He often told me that certain things were complete when they were not. My first closing date was postponed by the property management company and the second closing was delayed because the vanity countertop installed was a straight cabinet and not drop down. The day of closing, my home had construction dust all over the floors and countertops throughout the house. I still have spots of dried paint in my carpet and some type of glue on bathroom tile going from carpeted bedroom and walk in closet. ...

The quality of the workmanship is satisfactory only! I had to initiate calls and was told by my initial builder that he was about to call me. This happened several times throughout the process. During the last month, we were assigned a new builder who worked well with us to complete our home.

Realizing that this is not a custom built home, the builder could have been a little more flexible. For example, I wanted to upgrade the paint( very low grade) both exterior and interior. The answer was NO. I wanted the builder to not assemble the master closet shelving, the answer was NO. Didn’t know that my garage was not going to be finished until a month before closing. The Sales rep was a nice guy, but he made several mistakes during the build and didn’t offer certain option that we could have purchased. There were other issues as well. Good customer service but poor quality interior and exterior wood trim. Interior doors cheap and very poor finishing of sheet rock - particularly seams on ceilings. I’ve been In home for one month and many, many sheet rock nail pops. Paid for upgraded kitchen and appliances, but cabinets of poor quality and garbage disposer is under powered. Sod is full of weeds as well. While I like the lifestyle in neighborhood, Pulte should use a better grade of wood for trim and do a much better job of ensuring their trade people properly finish the interior

Upon first glance the homes are lovely until you are actually living in them. That is when you notice all the little things that are not so little. Paint or glue where it should not be, paint, scratches or dents on wood floors, unfinished and damaged doors that were installed and more. It is very disappointing for the money spent and the supposedly good reputation of Pulte. I am not impressed.

When we signed the contract to purchase our home we were told to expect a February or March close. We were hit with a combination of weather and poor communication. In fact, the day before closing and just after wiring the closing money, we received another call about another delay. It took a VP and area manager to finally take seriously our concerns and get to the closing table. We finally closed at the end of April. Mega company with lip service about the importance of having satisfied customers.

We've had a major issue with our kitchen cabinets which has still not been resolved. We were assured that we would be made whole with the problem... Just go ahead and sign the closing. We will do whatever it takes to make sure you get what you want. It's been over two months... Still unresolved and avoided

I like my home overall. I cannot believe the low quality of the front door to my home. You can seer light coming in around it. My building manager was scheduled to come back after closing to work on it, but did not show up. I have not yet had time to contact warranty. It is a very poor quality installation and a very low quality product to begin with. I am also unhappy with the sod installation in my back yard. Overall we are enjoying our home with the above noted exceptions.

we were supposd to close on 4/19/2019 but because pulte forgot to get a certificate of occupancy they called on 4/18/2019 at 2pm and said we would would close on 4/24/2019 that gave us a day and a half to move from the house we sold to move here.the floor in the second bedroom has moisture under the wood floor so they had to tear out my new floor and today on 5/29/2019 we are waiting to get our wood floor put back down.

We were out of town buyers. They like to rush the past two weeks before closing. Good lesson learned. The paint application is not acceptable inside and out. Paint on outside of home under cover porch and trim will need to be repainted. Debris left by paint roller and brush on walls and trim throughout the house. Drywall still needs work and had sections repaired by my outside painters. Paint, caulk, and grout left of tile floor and fixtures . Laundry room plumbing not installed properly. Shower door crooked.

The seller was poorly trained and seemed inexperienced. We feel options available we not all explained adequately to us leading to disappointment about our Pulte experience right from the beginning. We moved from a smart home in an upscale neighborhood valued at less than what we paid for this one. Frankly this one is sub-standard compared to that one. The workmanship is rushed and shoddy in comparison. Builder was great, however, trying to get someone to take care of issues after I moved in has been terrible. They changed project managers 2 months after I moved in and new contacts have been unresponsive and issues with home have not been rectified.

Terrible warranty response! Plumbing back up several days after taking possession. It was a Friday afternoon. Pulte sent an incompetent plumber. Two days later sewage backup returned. I called a competent plumber who fixed it. They refused to reimburse.
