Somewhat disappointed with the lack of craftmanship / workmanship in our new home. From the general lack of cleanliness upon receipt to sloppy paint / drywall finishing and trim work, the level of quality did not match our expectations. Both the pre-walk review & the pre-closing review were too short in duration to adequately identify and address all issues. Quality needs to be built-in, by the individuals performing the task, not inspected in / reworked after the fact. It is clear that not all the Pulte vendors take ownership for the quality of their work.

Pulte builds a quality home but doesn’t finish it off with quality. Finish paint, door operation, caulking leaves something to be desired. Warranty response is slow and incomplete, leaving owner doubtful that problems will get resolved.

Sales office was a great experience. Design center is after contract signed. Standard options are limited. Upgrades cost a lot and really add up. Tile work and painting in DWCE is not great. Plan to have done again within 2 years, especially outside. Have a beautiful premium lot but builder did not plant on green space at back of lot that is covered with very tall weeds. Unsightly and disappointed in that. Builder Manager Austin was great to work with. Communication at least weekly during build was impressive. Punch list not too long.

The experience from the beginning to the end was a seamless process. From the application there were professionals along the way to ensure decisions were being made about what to do next from the loan process to homeowners' insurance. At the end the builder ensured that I had all information needed to contract utilities etc. He also ensured I knew how the home warranty worked.

The quality of materials is not acceptable for price of home. I purchased a Spec Home, so no upgrades, but thought the basic level would be good quality. The Pulte sales agent was confused at times and did not have answers. The mortgage process with Pulte seemed to have communication issues between hand-offs/departments. The landscaping looks good until you actually check how trees/bushes were planted and discover uneven ground under grass/turf. When you do a walk-thru, take your time and inspect every inch of home. Our builder Zack was helpful and informative. However our shower glass didn’t arrive before closing. We’ve already had a leaking window due to rain. I am not impressed with the overall quality, fit and finish of the house.

Our buying experience went well. From start to finish. Home was completed within the expected time. We were updated weekly with our building manager. Our building manager was excellent. He did everything he possibly could to make us feel confident that our home was being built correctly. He covered all our concerns real well. He was very professional and honest. The home is very nice and the company has a good warranty program. The warranty manager is very good also. He is very professional and does his very best to take care of our concerns. Very pleased with home. We are very very Blessed.

Looking at models we found a new home ready to go. We said yes and in the home about a month later. Scott in sales kept our paperwork to a minimum and exchanging emails (I live out of state) took care of most items. The Field Manager Steven L. was exceptional in handling last minute items and fixes. After close we discovered the hanging lights in the kitchen were not installed correctly. Steven simply said "yes, it is wrong" and got it fixed in just a couple of days ... move of lights and paint and all with zero mess and no effort on my part. Quality is mediocre at best. Shoddy workmanship and cleanliness. If the construction supervisor had not been changed, the finished home would never have been acceptable. Painting is bad. There is still paint on the kitchen door window and poor coverage on the exterior. Somehow, despite not yet occupying the house, the first water bill showed 14,000 gallons usage. I hope to check for leaks tomorrow. My normal usage is 3100 gallons per month. The drywall work in the garage sucks. I Just had it painted and had to do quite a bit of repair. The windows are dirty. The quality of the workmanship is satisfactory only! I had to initiate calls and was told by my initial builder that he was about to call me. This happened several times throughout the process. During the last month, we were assigned a new builder who worked well with us to complete our home.

I would rate my overall experience as GOOD. The builder was responsive. Workmanship is good, materials not all good. Some materials installed that do not work properly. There were items that were not completed on my home and promised to have completed which were and still not completed.

I am so disappointed with Pulte. The salesman never advised me that there would be a rock drain installed on my property. I specifically told him i did not want to be near standing water due to mosquitoes. I closed with a promise that outstanding 10 issues would be corrected within 2 weeks. It is 2 months later and only 1 item has been completed. I have been shifted from person to person.
