Disappointing Follow-up

Although we are generally happy with the home and the community, we have been disappointed by some of the workmanship with the home and the responsiveness to repair. Our oven was defective and will not be repaired until after the holidays. Why weren't the appliances tested? Our back door lock has been stuck since September and we are still waiting repair. Our hose bib continues to be broken and we continue to wait for a plumber to repair it before the freezing weather sets in. This doesn't include all the nooks and crannies that weren't finished properly and that it appears that no one will ...

I feel there needs to be a quality control process that ensures that one process is completed before another begins. I had an experience where my shower floor was not ready to be tiled. It was tiled when there was a hollow area around the drain. Not what you would expect for a $500,000 home.

Our first contractor was Dale. He told us all about himself but never listed to us. He only responded when we tracked him down on the build site. Promises were made but not followed through. A frustrating experience. At closing a new contractor, Warren was assigned. He listened to our issues and is trying but lacks the power from Pulte to get resolution. Incomplete work or problems with construction were listed on the closing document to be addressed post closing. To date, some items have been fixed but most are left incomplete, ie Crooked walls, appliances not working correctly, ...

Your salespeople were great. I felt the clean up people did a bad job also little things like hardware left off doors touch up painting bad. Electrical outlets covered over with drywall. Things left undone for a home this price should not happen

Had Lot of delays from product availability and manpower. Did get me in to new home before booted out of old one. Quality was not job 1. Walls not square, certainly noticeable on tile flooring. Notice more defects as time goes by.

I am very conflicted about my new home at Kimblewick. I’m very pleased with the house and community. I won’t complain about minor issues, but one that goes against Pulte policy. That is planting a very large tree( it will grow to 40 or 50 feet) 5 ft in front of my house. It will have to be cut down at great expense in the future. I offered to move it but was denied. The building experience was ok. Communication has always been an issue. I closed on my home nearly 2 months ago and STILL don’t have the things completed that were on my list from the pre closing walk through. Now, my site manager is gone and I am not getting any response from Dan or Steve. I am very frustrated and disappointed.

Pleased with every step except for one. I closed in August and zi still do not have keys for my home. The installer of the Doors (84 Lumber) has been totally incompetent and unprofessional. Dell/Webb should not use this Contractor - I will be hiring a Locksmith and sending the Bill to Dell/Webb for payment. This issue has caused us much stress. If we leave our home and there is a Power Failure we would be unable to get into our house

We had THREE construction managers during the entire building process with the third not responding in any way to questions. He then quit week before closing and dumped all the problems on his manager who received the wrath unfairly. We have been in 6 weeks now and still have unfinished items. The main concern is master shower and is a result of poor subcontractors work and or inability to actually show up and do the work. This is the 4th house I have had built and by far the worst experience.

My house wasn’t clean before I moved in. Professional carpet cleaner said in all his 30 years he has never seen such filth in a brand new home. I have numerous issues that are still left unattended. I am not getting a response from the people responsible. I have issues with toilets, hot water, doors - we literally have to kick the back door to exit the house. A severe fire hazard.

This is my 4th new build and by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. From the initial purchase to selection of finishes and through the entire build, closing and first weeks of living here, it has been excruciating.—delay after delay, one serious problem after another, difficulty getting problems addressed. The one positive thing is the wonderful neighbors.

We went through four different construction managers of which Joel was by far the best. He communicated issues whether it was good or bad news Our house sat for 60 days with no work done. Very frustrating. We have not completed our list of items to be fixed due to being out of town. We are back now and will pursuit these items.

I identified poor workmanship on the inside and outside of my home before closing and turned in several service reports of things that I did not see before moving in (e.g., busted wall inside kitchen cabinet, hole in bathroom cabinet, hole in kitchen ceiling, bathroom fixtures not installed) Noone has reached out to me. I regret purchasing this house!!!! Its not worth the money!!!!!

Little trust and little follow through from onsite Pulte construction people.

Worked with several construction managers over the course of the build. Most times the concerns and issues that I brought to the attention of the Pulte construction people were ignored. Sometimes I would not have any communications for many weeks. When I did receive some form of communications, there was no follow through on what I was told would be done. I am still trying to resolve construction issues. Other issues I took care of myself, and I am still resolving the issues myself.

It’s been a frustrating build. There is no communication, no accountability and several issues that should have been addressed before closing. Of course they tell you they will be addressed but they aren’t. Sloppy workmanship of all trades. No one takes pride in their work.

Pulte is building the homes in Kimblewick too quickly. I had two in-house floods because installers couldn't find studs, they found water lines to puncture. My fireplace wasn't completed before the dry wall went up, resulting in no electric power to turn on the gas fireplace. A hole was cut in the drywall to fix this problem, but the hole is still there, even after promises to send a drywaller and painter over to fix IT!
