Took almost two months to fix broken tile on fireplace, our whirlpool refrigerator had no ice and water and seal leaks on right hand door , still not fixed with Pulte the builder and bottom line , took 10 months to build the home , four months late from original closing promised

I'll put the ending first - now that we are settled in our home, we are very happy. The community is wonderful because the people who live here are wonderful. And we like our home. The experience of having the home built was fraught with issues and disappointments. At one point there was no progress on our home for over two months, which delayed our opening and caused us to have to extend our rentals. The purchase process is very smooth and efficient. The construction process moves along quickly but communications throughout the process is terrible. We knew very little throughout process and when we tried to communicate concerns or special needs we were ignored. Also care for property is not much of a concern during construction. Our hardwood floors were installed early on and not covered. We spent days cleaning them and now have 30 plus boards that must be replaced.

Most positive is the communities that they develop geared toward like minded people. Communication during the building process was the biggest let down. Work cleanliness and organization was an issue.

I wrote a long review listing all the issues we experienced during our home build. Go back and read that. Now, what we’re seeing is slow response from the after closing warranty Dept. We prob would not build with Pulte again.

Steve in Sales was great to work with, very knowledgeable. You really need to consider the overall cost of what to add in upfront versus doing it later. Moving into a new home has enough worries with just moving, downsizing, gleaning out stuff you should have gotten rid of before. Things happen fast in construction and its exciting to watch it go up. We like our field manager too, Dale. We love the warranties we have, just makes us feel that once you move in, you are not forgotten. Makes me think Pulte stands behind their work. Structure is physically sound. Finishes are cheap - even the upgrades, and in many cases the finished product is left incomplete “because Pulte doesn’t do that”. Communication with third party vendors like the company responsible for landscaping is non-existent. Response time for a response from Pulte Customer Service Department is also non-existent. Overall the home is not worth the money one has invested in a brand new home. One should expect much higher quality finishes and a complete detail driven job given the cost of the home. No communication. Deadlines not meet. Once closed - promised work no t completed As agreed at closing. Battle entire process. Ran out of sod. Just left bare dirt- irrigation system watering dirt.

Don’t trust anything they tell you and check the process of building as often as possible. Their subcontractors are lackadaisical and exhibit very poor workmanship and concern about your new home. Quality is substandard for the prices you pay.

Up grades are expensive. Cable tv has to have a outlet at every location you want a set all is not wireless. Field managers are very helpful.

I appreciate the value of my new home. While it was being built during the Covid-19 year, the field manager, Brandon, was in contact with me weekly to let me know where we were on the construction. I'm still waiting on my microwave because of back-orders, but Brandon is still on top of that issue. It's great to be in my new home!

My new house is beautiful but I needed to do quite a bit of upgrading to get the look I wanted. The general selections I found to be very limiting. My family and I were also extremely upset that used appliances were placed in my home during a global pandemic because mine were not in at the time of my closing. I never used any of them. I just sprayed them with Lysol. I have too many underlying health conditions to take chances during this crisis. I just received my range today. Still waiting for the vent hood and dishwasher.
