There seems to be an issue with the GFI breakers. Ovens always shut off. Light bulbs continue to flicker. When it’s windy outside it sounds like a wind tunnel in my unit. The flooring is cheap. There is a squeaking noise in front of my pantry. There is small area on my master bathroom vanity that is peeling. Some areas of grout on the master is not even with the tile.

I’ve been here now for a little bit over a month and have discovered a few things that I didn’t realize before I purchased my unit. All but one of the sinks in my unit were designed for ADA compliance. This meant that there was no bottom to the sink it went straight to the floor. So I had to pay a workmen $360 to make a shelf under the sink and install it. Personally, I believe that Del Webb Chauncy Lake should have designed the sink so The bottom of the cabinet could be unscrewed and removed for compliance with ADA regulations. Disappointed with elevator. Has been down a few times in two months! Also, no A/C vents at entrance. This means that entry into the unit is not pleasant since no air movement. Too many dogs!

Overall, the condo looks great. When we asked the sales team why one side of the building was considered 'premium'. The response was that they do not decide but they are told by their management which side is considered premium. Of course, we do not actually see our condo until it is finished, and we do the walkthrough. It is then we found out why one side was considered the premium side of the building. This is a beautiful area which was part of the draw; however, I expected better quality for the price. I've lived here 2 months. Appliances are cheap. The washer (which I had no choice but to accept) doesn't work properly. It's been a week since the trouble was submitted and no response. So far, 3 doors (and counting) won't latch properly. Walkthrough items have not been resolved. I was told if I have them taken care of now, they won't come back for the one year walkthrough...doesn't seem right.

Sloppy workmanship, particularly painting and finish carpentry

I’ve found many cases where painters left paint brush streaks, paint bubbles, dried drips and paint buildup; cases where nailheads are showing on drywall, where floor tiles are not square with walls, gaps in floor molding mitre joints, uneven endcuts on floor molding. Cheap appliances.

For the price of half a million dollars, they put in poor quality appliances. Oven hasn't worked for half of the time, ceiling lights have tripped breakers as well as the oven. Doorbell replaced. NO sound deadening between floors. Chrome fixtures mixed with nickel. Light bulbs flicker and die within one month. Lowest grade of master shower enclosure, no ledge for shaving legs, had to put a stool in there. Difficulty knowing who to contact when you have an issue. They suggest an email to use. Sales Office lied when they told us work on the new building quit every day at three. They work seven days a week until dark sometimes even after dark. We were told appliances were checked and tested before we moved in. Mine, and at least 30 other people in my building have electric ranges where the ovens tripped the circuit breaker. There are a lot of questions that were not brought forward by the sales office when I bought into Dell Webb. Some Condos are right handed and left handed. That was not explained to me. I thought I was going into a right hand Condo and went into a left hand one and when I told the sales office that they told me basically to suck it up it's not an issue, you will get use to it. The Sales experience was good, however, responsiveness once moving in has been poor. I have several quality of workmanship issues that are unresolved and desire to ensure customer satisfaction is a low priority. If anything, I feel criticized and ignored asking for broken/sloppy items within a new home to be repaired.

The sales people were hard to contact a lot of the time. I don't have a comfort height toilet in my bathroom because a change order was never done and I was docu signing so many forms because I lived in another state. The salesperson said not to worry. She would do the change order. She did not do it. I was involved with so many things that it never got done. It was del webb responsibility to see that this change order was done. The Dartmouth group was extremely unresponsive. It took a full week of badgering begging and in the end being nasty to simply get the fob to the fitness center working. Also the person hired for the fitness center is quite unknowlegable . Also have been trying to get a ping pong table to use since that is our main activity very unresponsive to this as well even tho we actually said we wud spend personally the $450 to buy it. Plenty of room for it especially in the largely unused ballroom.

The sales associates are very friendly and informative. However, the communication was rather harder after the sell, especially response to email and phone calls. The material used in the building is less than satisfactory, almost sub standard in a few instances. This is specially true for the unit that costs lot more per square foot in this area (and that without any land).
