The workmanship of the finish work for trim, doors, countertops, tile and cabinets was not as expected based on the model homes. Several items are still in need of repair and we have been in for six weeks. Repairs are not expected for another month. Overall, though, the house fits our needs and our selling agent and warranty man are great to work with.

One of the first things I wanted done from the initial visit to the models was to be plumbed for solar…It was NOT plumbed for solar! Poor painting on front door as well as interior. “Gunk” on the tile floor that I cannot remove. Unhappy withe the space under all doors.

The paint was terrible, I think they used 1/2 water as it's like chalk that rubs off. The baseboards did not get sanded, just slapped paint on them. They are coming back to sand and paint. I love the size. But you get the surprise of putting your trash in the garage and not outside and then having to install a trash enclosure.

Hurried construction in difficult circumstances

The crown molding on the cabinets in the laundry room fell off two weeks after purchase - it just fell off! Also, the builder was unable to show us how to work the irrigation system - just didn't know. Houses are being built very rapidly in circumstances where there is difficulty with delivery of materials plus probably some tightness in finding construction labor. We are basically happy with our experience and our purchase, but it is clear the process is strained and perhaps being rushed.

Pulte homes would do a better job with Management that kept track of the progress of the homes and supervised the subcontractors to make sure that when they were on the job,that they took the time to protect the work of the other subcontractors.A lot of the punch list would be avoided if everyone respected the work of all of the subs involved.The warranty person has a hard job of call backs for damage done during the job because subs don't protect the work of other subs.There is also a lot of down time-it could be lack of qualified workers,lack of training,poor supervision.Safety training ...

Have a few issues with my new home so far I haven’t heard back when they will be taken care of. Paul Warn was a wonderful contact person to keep me updated. Details of the home may have been overlooked? We’re simple things such as painted doors, light fixtures, that don’t work sliding doors that have issues things that I would have thought after hiring, my own inspector would have been found? Workmanship wasn't great. Had to repaint the interior walls and repair appliances provided with our home. Interior lightning and garage were subpar. Had to install several fans with lights to make it livable. Cabinets in kitchen were not the quality we expected and were not wide nor deep enough to store our kitchen items. Overall, we rated the experience in the middle as noted above.

I would think that being as large as Pulte is, that they would be more accommodative to disabled veterans in the buying process.

Lets start at the sales office. Were never told the model was different of what was built. Different roof tiles, windows that did not open and doors that were eliminated. When questioned were told that the model was reengineered. Nice if salesperson told us this at the beginning. The construction of the home in my opinion is not quality built. The 2x4 exterior walls with no sheathing when 2x6 would add more insulation and sheathing would make a much sounder structure. Interior walls at 24 inches on centers is another thing I did not like. We wish that Pulte,would have been more flexible with our closing date. It seems everything had to be by Pulte rules. The outside paint job on my home was terribly substandard hopefully it will be corrected for future home buyers.

This is the second home that I purchased from Pulte and it will be the last. The first house which was located in Florida had a terrific floor plan and the service that I received from Pulte was good. I liked the floor plan for the current house in Lake Las Vegas but after living here for a few weeks I realize that there is too much useless space. This means that the places where space is needed are too small (ex. closets, kitchen cabinets, pantry). The bidding for lots was sold as fair for buyers. In reality it only served to drive up purchase prices. Repairs after closing take a very long time. Buyers are responsible for purchasing the higher cost appliances because only the stove and dishwasher are included. Some materials are less than good.

Recommend aviod using pulte mortgage, title and pulte insurance

Pulte homes wants you to use their own mortgage, title and home owners insurance, the title company is high on closing costs, the insurance gave us a quote that would not even cover the cost to rebuild the home, the sales agents are not working for home buyers, they 100 percent represent the builder, make sure you have a legal expert look over the contract before buying, watch the upgrades, the upgrades are over priced and they claim a upgrade on something. Others would consider standard, make sure you take pictures on final walk through and look at every corner, wall, moldings, plumbing, ...

Great Home except 30-Day warranty issues need to be addressed in a timely manner. Too long to verify and eventually execute fixes. I realize lots of homes being done now and Labor shortages contribute to this but Co. needs to increase Labor Force to take care of these issues. You pay half a million dollars for a home you should expect discrepancies to be fixed in a timely manner.

Building too many homes at one time

Overall we love our new home and neighborhood, however we are very disappointed with the quality of finish trim and paint. the painting is about as bad as I have seen, flat paint in bathrooms and kitchen?? white only?? baseboards un-sanded, un-calked and un-painted in the majority of the house? with the price escalations that have occurred over the past year, Pulte can afford to properly paint a small house. The paint is readily available, we have checked.

Moving from one Del Webb to another does not come with any perks. It’s like starting all over. The sales dept had their hands tied in offering lots to sell. The release of lots was done in stages and pricing was not as advertised. We paid $37,000 more just for the bare minimum of the homes original stated price. Pulte Mortgage representative was a disaster. It was not about the consumer. It was how to make their job easier. Always had problems getting call backs and verifying interest rate hikes. Basically, this was a bad experience that should have been exciting for this new chapter in our lives. Many mistakes were made with the add on's we purchased, and they seemed bothered that we wanted them fixed. We had to continually request and follow up on issues that had not been completed at closing. After a month we are still waiting for some of the items. The walls seem thin and we can hear everything going on from most rooms in the house. The light switches do not make a lot of sense to where they are connected.
