Our experience started out good but then…we are in the final phase of this Del Web development. The sales person we were working with from the start was all the sudden no longer working there(not by her choice) then we get notice from company stating what our closing date was. We were not ask or given a chance to change the date. Since we had not already closed on our house we were looking at having two mortgages and we needed to delay the closing by 2 weeks. We were told NO and that we would be charged $500 penalty a day for each day we delayed closing. No grace, no consideration no nothing except we had to pay $9,000 penalty. From signing our purchasing sales agreement to completion date was a pleasant experience. Our new home was built within the timeframe given, living out of state our contraction manager and sales representative informed us of the progress along the way. Little issues we had with our home were addressed right away as they were pointed out. Overall we are very happy with our new home and mostly, we enjoy the community of Stone Creek.

We are very pleased with our new Del Webb home. Everything including the follow up is as expected.

The community is great. The final fit and finish quality of the homes leaves something to be desired. Many things will need to just be repaired or made right by the owner as Pulte is slow to respond.

Overall construction process was great with Paul our construction manager. Overall design center experience with Christina was TERRIBLE. Everything was overpriced and they aren’t real designers. Sloppy design work and unresponsiveness. Alan from electrical was great. Only negative was the design phase it was over promised and underdelivered. This is resulting in us spending extra money and time to remove floors and things that should have been provided during the design phase.

Decent house for the cost but workmanship was average or below. Interior painting was terrible. The quality of paint and application was rough. Sloppy exterior work and cement stains were all over the pavers. Repeated calls to our construction supervisor were basically ignored or excuses were made with no action. From the beginning, our salesman was attentive, but after we paid in full he went silent with very little communication as to our concerns over details.

Too many numerous disappointments to list

Our home is beautiful, thank you to the many workers who played a role in it.

The one problem I have is the workmanship. I feel the materials could be a lot better. When I did walk through I was so excited about moving in that I didn’t notice the small things. So far the staff is trying to address things. Example would be the cabinets have small nicks, door are not painted fully and screen door isn’t set correctly. As long as these things get addressed and fixed I will be happy. For the money we spent on these homes I think the materials and workmanship could be better.

The building team was very helpful and responsive. Particularly helpful was having a building coordinator who provided weekly updates on the progress of construction.

Doors and trim bad quality wood, doors and trim not plumb, hard wood floor damaged throughout, caulking is messy throughout, painting is unprofessional with drips throughout, subway tile not in a straight line, fireplace set too high so can’t see flame, dirty windows and concrete splashed on windows, backdoor sill wouldn’t let door open, laundry room sink drain ring not centered on drain, kitchen cabinets trim miters don’t come together, wrong bathroom hardware-still waiting for it, toilet paper holder fell off wall, thresholds to shower, kitchen sink and tub deck scratched, small black hole in white porcelain kitchen sink (very noticeable), kitchen cabinets don’t line up, three way light switch in great room activates fan not ceiling lighting, outside fan vent for kitchen closed, window shades hanging crooked, front door finisher ruined the front door-it has drips of stain dried on in streaks, overspray in many places in house, nails bent over in floor quarter round and then painted, door latches leave marks. I was very pleased with the entire process from start to finish. I feel that the Del Webb team had my best interest at heart and provided me with a great experience and a beautiful new home. Thank you!

It's true. We heard it throughout the build. Coming to Sun City Hilton Head is absolutely wonderful.....if you don't mind living in an over priced, poor quality home. Pulte has to be the bottom of the barrel when it comes to overall quality. The workmanship is subpar at best. The materials are the absolute cheapest money can buy. They are quick to say to NO to everything that would make a client happy yet fast to do whatever they need to get you to close. As a contractor, I would be embarrassed to pass off a final product that Pulte is overjoyed to pass off. Just a number to get to the next closing. Fortunately, we have the means to have the home repainted, (which we did), retrofit with sliding glass doors, re-landscape everything, and customize the way we wanted. I wish Pulte would have just sold us the land and let us build a decent home. I will stay in SCHH forever but I could never go through another Pulte build. ... More

Del Webb sells a great product. Their partnership with Pulte is fantastic. Our construction manager, Austin, was great. He was responsive to all our questions and concerns.

Living in Sun City is amazing. Great people and neighbors. However, the quality of the workmanship and materials used in the home are sub par. We are 2 months past closing and move in date, and we still have open issues. Talking to our neighbors, our experience is common. You know how everyone has an airplane travel story, about delays or whatever. Everyone who has a new home in Sun City has an experience to share about problems with their home build.

I am disappointed in the quality of responsiveness from the construction manager, and that many of the defects that were noted before closing in the walk through were left uncorrected despite assurances that they would be. To-date they still remain un-rectified. The warranty service has been practically non-existent.

The best neighborhood I’ve ever experienced! Beautiful homes well constructed. I expected this. What surprised and delighted me was the community layout: sidewalks on both sides of all streets, marvelous sidewalk path lights and elegant and well placed street lights and whimsically painted rest benches, and meandering view corridors inviting residents to get out and walk. The Amenity Center is A+++. Congratulations to your team—-you have designed and built a perfect active adult resort style community!!!

We had a great experience from start to finish!

Finish work could be better. Trades get in too much of a hurry to move on to the next house. Field manager could be more responsive.

Lack of response for warranty issues submitted on line or called in. We have to follow up 3 or 4 times just to get a response, then we have to wait for the trades to "hopefully" show up.

This home buying experience has been excellent.

My experience with Del Webb was really astonishing. It was beyond expectations. From the start of the sales process, picking everything out which was easily done on the computer with my salesman, to the build phase and finally closing, things were completed on time, on budget and with a close eye to quality. I originally looked at a custom builder for $1.6M, but with Del Webb got a beautiful house with similar SF and finishes at a much more reasonable price. They really have home building down to a science. When it was a week out from closing, their quality review brought in the subs in an all-hands-on-deck approach including the cleaners. The subs really respond to the project managers. Just overall I was very impressed with their attention to quality. I admire it every day now in my new home. ... More
