Our construction manager, Mitch, listened to our wants, needs, and must haves and succeeded in making our building experience a positive one. Kurt, our salesman, helped us through the buying process and continues to interact with us when we see him on the property or at the sales office. The closing process with Pulte Mortgage was a bit stressful but we caused a bit of that by not being decisive about whether to take a mortgage or pay cash at closing. Paint workman ship was poor, texture on walls was not great, finish on doors was poor. Concrete work on flat work was poor, garage concrete was very poor. We love the house layout & plan. Color and other selections at the Design Center was a good experience, some selections like light fixtures, ceiling fans & paint colors needs work.

Spec but not cookie cutter

We knew we wanted "lifestyle". We knew that meant Del Webb. We had visited several other lifestyle communities, some Del Webb, some not. Carolina Overlook has the perfect combination of features, size, age, community and price. We couldn't pass by. The house is great, the neighbors are welcoming and the process was as simple as a hard thing can be! Moving is hard, but Carolina Overlook by Del Webb makes it worth the effort!

I keep finding electrical plugs that don’t work. Builder responsive but I should not have to deal with it. Caulking and in chipped tiles bathrooms. Window in laundry room doesn’t close. Sliding class door won’t always lock, etc

The Sales Team and Service Team were / are great. Very helpful and customer service oriented. I purchased a completed Mainstay model. Here are a few cautions: The coverage of the tiled area in the Master Walk-in Spa Shower is insufficient. Water splashes onto unprotected drywall and wood molding. Pulte refused to correct it as it was "built to plan." Light switch in the Master bath is mounted several steps inside adjacent to the sink. At night you have to "feel your way" into a darkened bathroom to turn on the light. The steps inside the garage are a trip hazard, especially for older ...

The process of selecting a model was straightforward and a fun process once you know how much you can spend. There are models for most every one. I would have liked to have more customization in the interior of the build. Our assigned builder’s agent was superior in her attention to detail.

Tony wasn't happy with the last minute requests from the underwriters. Not pleased with the mortgage company our mortgage was transferred to. This whole experience caused Lorraine and I frustration and anxiety.

I was most impressed with the design center experience. There were so many options, all very systematically arranged. The quality of these varieties were tangible. Michelle A was extremely approachable, not making you feel judged by the level/pricing of any of your selections. She was also so knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure. Most of the construction management team was wonderful. They were friendly as well as informative. The frequent construction updates were exciting and welcoming to receive.

Realtor and Work Manager were excellent. Workmanship fell short as identified in several areas through professional after build inspection. However quick fixes were accomplished after reporting. Price of home was overpriced per VA appraisal, negotiated new value and price were determined and accepted.

I would say that, overall, we had an excellent experience with Pulte/Del Webb at Barton Village in Lebanon, Tennessee. The actual people we dealt daily/weekly with (sales/construction manager/project manager/vendors/mortgage company) all seemed sincere, trustworthy and motivated to deliver a quality product. Our Sales Consultant & Construction Manager we’re great!

Pulte does a great job as a production builder although much of the finish items such as kitchen & bathroom hardware, cabinetry, and trim could be better quality. My biggest complaint would be the finish painting. We had paint overspray / droplets all over are tile floor, bathroom fixtures, light & outlet plates, which were not removed prior to finish paint and had to be removed and cleaned by us, leaving us to touch up paint the walls. Disappointed in their finish work but the overall construction is excellent for a non custom home. They are not flexible with upgrading air conditioning systems and using a different maker for a dishwasher also no flexibility in including a gas line for people that prefer cooking with gas we put the gas line for $10,000 it’s propane and it is great to be able to have our Wolf Appliances and updated kitchen appliances however we had to remove the new ones they all got donated since no flexibility on choosing your appliances !!! The area is beautiful and well kept and people living here ...

Happy with new home despite some issues

We purchased a brand new 'spec home' sight unseen because of a significant price drop. We are happy with the home and the neighborhood. Is everything perfect? No. We had some issues such as an exterior door handle coming apart instantly, some electrical outlets not working, and water accumulating under the condensate. Pulte Homes and their agents responded fairly quickly and appropriately.
