This is our 4th time buying a new construction home so we have some past experiences to draw on to formulate this review. First, Sean in sales was amazing, as were other sales associates but especially Darren since we saw him if Sean wasn't available. Our construction liaison Marc did an amazing job at keeping us informed of the progress as well as making sure problems were addressed along the way. Ultimately the home turned out great and we are very pleased with the end result and the value we received for our money (for the most part) but.... there were definitely issues along the way that we had to note for the items to be fixed before things progressed too far and made corrections more difficult. It seems like a lot of the sub-contractors do not care about their final product and just pass the problems along to the next trade. There was some sloppy workmanship that we asked to be corrected and the trade would come in and try to cover up what they did wrong and apply a fix that didn't actually fix the problem. There were multiple instances of this occurring, but with Marc's assistance we were able to finally get all of the issues addressed properly. We felt like Pulte is deliberately setting the final walkthrough inspection/closing appointments very close to minimize the time you have for the inspection so that you feel rushed. A one hour window for a final walkthrough is not nearly enough to inspect a full home. Thankfully Marc cares about his customers and was willing to tackle any final issues we had. We have now been in the home for 4 weeks and we are still addressing issues that need correction but Marc has worked with us diligently to handle the remaining items. ... More

Overall the experience was pretty good. There was no communication of the hand off of outstanding items from the Project Manager to the Customer Care Center resulting in a 3 week period where nothing was done. Once I learned the Customer Care Center was the point of contact and found out who my contact person was, everything was completed quickly (Thanks Jodi). The Customer Care Center has been excellent to work with and get things done.

sales staff was great, the financial staff was very helpful and knowledgable and the construction supervisor/manager were professional

Hoping they will continue warranty for 1st year without taking months to complete and before you know year is up

Sales is fairly seamless. The loan mortgage and insurance process is well communicated. The build process and project manager assigned is helpful yet should provide weekly updates, 2-3 bullets throughout the build, to mitigate the multiple repairs on the back end. Communication for HOA information has been poor. This needs MAJOR improvement and rules of engagement to the new homeowner. The lifestyle engagement process is Stellar. Love the community and overall is what we expected. B + overall. Some areas I give a D and others like Sales & Design I give an A-. And by the way, we did not by and Expediton Series. Our PM was absolutely responsive and caring about the construction and closing issues. Without him, we would not have been able to get the home completed.

Lance our sales agent was great to work with and stays in touch. Pulte closing agent was somewhat overwhelming, too many individuals involved, too many emails and forms to sign. The house is very nice and well constructed. The Wildlight HOA staff are terrific, accessible and very responsive. The neighbors are extremely friendly, active and involved in the community and willing to assist with anything. Overall we have been extremely satisfied.

Alejandro was a great supervisor on our home after starting out with someone else. All minor issues were resolved and the house is engineered very well. Well designed house for use of space and functional.

Home buying experience went smoothly - no complaints. Just slightly disappointed with some of the limited choices - example: baseboards, interior doors, lighting fixtures - pretty basic and not really my taste - no option to forgo or purcahse our own.

Wish there was more info provided about steps in the buying process. Also since models have higher end features, when making your final selections the design should inform buyers about affects of options chosen. For example, if you select the arch package your baseboards will not be standard (now curves). Found out near end of process videos were available ( and wasn’t told) to talk about steps in the homebuying purchase. More info about earnest deposit and how is applied to final purchase or not. More info also about extra paid for additional options chosen and how it is applied to final purchase or not. People were friendly. Would also say since my spouse had never purchased a new house before that more communication would have allayed fears and more info about process the total build process took over 14 months from start to finish. ... Everyone at Pulte Mortgage was nice to work with and supportive. The construction manager was wonderful and so helpful & really listened to my concerns. There were some things about the house I wasn’t pleased with, but overall the quality was pretty good. I thought the house was a little overpriced for the size of it - it is a small 2 bedroom home & the second bedroom is tiny. The front yard is all right but the back yard is very small with a slope where you can’t plant anything.

You are paying a premium to join a 55 and older community. The option costs range from reasonable to wildly overpriced. We had a good build process manager and we are pleased with the end result. It is a nice tract home. But it is not a semi-custom home by any stretch. The lack of landscaping support post sale is disappointing. The builder gives excuses about the trees being stressed by transplanting, but no help in what to do to help them recover.

We were very pleased with our builder team, especially our project manager Daniel. He kept us informed throughout the process and responded immediately to our questions/requests. More importantly he was honest and trustworthy.

Great responsiveness and quality from Manny and Matt. Pulte was pretty inflexible but the people overcame this.

Stella in sells was a little difficult to work with and a little pushy. Steve has been better to work with but mostly things were done when he took over. My advice to others would be don’t let the sells people push you into making quick decisions. Know what you’re getting into upfront. We came from a custom home experience to a production home experience. It’s very different.

Tanya ((sales) and Brogan (production) are terrific people and excellent to work with. Tanya especially kept us informed and/or resolved problems (very few) as they occurred. Overall I'd say our Pulte contacts rate a 10 out of 10 stars.

My concerns would be with the houses, as offered before options, are not really quality homes. Quality as in 24 inch center roof trusses. 24 inches seem a bit far apart but that would be a way to save money on building a home. If you do not take an upgrade option in anything, you will get sub standard materials (sinks, carpet, fixtures, etc) in the home. If you pay more for options, the materials are a bit better. For the cost of the home, seems like just offering a better grade of materials would be better than sitting across the desk talking about upgrades that really should be standard in a home. A good example would be paver driveways and walkway. This should be a standard for homes since it seems no one takes the standard concrete driveway / walkway. Why are pavers an option when concrete driveways / walkways are somewhat discouraged? Carpet is another example of placing quality carpet in your home rather than sit across the desk and discuss optional upgrades. Almost seems like the folks offering upgrades get a bonus for you obtaining upgrades rather than have a comfortable home. Are the upgrades offered really increase the value of your home if and when you decide to sell? Some upgrades do help increase the value of your house but I am not sure about most of the upgrades having weight in determining the value of a re-sale. ... More

This being our first experience building and owning in a 55+ community my wife and I are rookies for sure. I have worked in the construction industry for my whole life so I speak with experience in the trade. The buying phase of the process went well and without a hitch. Lisa our sales rep was fantastic and guided us through the initial lot and home purchase and was super helpful. 3 months later construction started and we were introduced to John our construction manager who equally was superior throughout the building phase keeping us informed and up to date on any and all issues. Being from Pennsylvania the communications and updates from John were appreciated. Structural and mechanical phases went well and were sound as well as the masonry work. We are currently working through finish carpentry and painting issues which are of concern namely too much debris on drywall not cleaned up before finished paint, moulding install and finished caulking sub standard. Too many dents and dings and scratches on doors windows and hardware. The problem is a lack of pride of workmanship and accountability for whatever the reason. On the flip side we are having the issues addressed through the warranty team and hope to have them alleviated soon. One public issue of concern is the slow approach to the amenity complex completion date. We as residents are paying nearly full HOA dues and feel deserving of a timely completion of the campus. Overall it should be a great place to call home and enjoy life in a beautiful community. ... More

Covid was not your friend if you were building a house. The 18 month process was indeed long and at times frustrating, not to mention the historic price increase in such as short period of time. However, our Del Webb sales person and construction manager kept in touch with us on a regular basis with updates on progress and provided pictures. Material and worker availability affected the entire country, so we understood. After finally moving in, we love the house and found very few minor issues that were handled immediately. The Carolina Gardens Community is great! Lots of wonderful people to meet. My only complaint is……. Being in an OVER 55 Community ……67 years old and living alone ….most everything needs to be done online on a computer ….And Not a phone. I totally understand that this is the times now but after a certain age my technology knowledge is not one of my best abilities. I asked my salesman if I could get a printout of all the paperwork and he said NO! Straight out No! I don’t have a printer and spending close to $800 thousand on my home I did not feel I was asking too much. How was l suppose to easily read and view all my paperwork and contracts? It’s hard to scroll up and down over a hundred pages on a computer or phone to look up information with the typed letters being so small and the buttons so tiny. It would have meant so much to me if I could have just gotten a print out! I would have loved to hear SURE THING! Was I really asking too much??? I finally got a friend who helped me get it all printed out and feel so much better. Remember we are senior citizens! Don’t need to concentrate on things like the dishwasher was raised a few inches to help with the senior citizens back issues…..concentrate on listening to the people needs. Technology needs! ... Our house manager Manny was just great. Having several houses built before , so I am used to dealing with contractors and builders, but in this case it was a pleasure as when Manny said something, it just happened. Can't be beat. Have discussed his performance with others and was surprised to hear what trials other others had with their managers. All I can say is we hit the jackpot when we got Manny.

It was a good purchase.
