The workmen are better than the architect

The house appears well-made with attention to detail. The planning could be improved. In my home, two of the bathrooms are right next to each other. Gutters are an extra-cost option. There are no electrical outlets near the toilets. In particular, a development intended for older folks should attempt to accommodate their needs. For example, changing the AC filters requires climbing to the 10 ft. ceiling. Grab bars should be standard, doors should be wider to allow for potential wheelchairs.

The sales and marketing people are at the top of their game. The building crew/foreman are average. I have had a few issues, and they are eventually worked out, but it is slow going. It seems that they are concerned with getting these homes built quickly, and that is the priority.

It was a pleasure working with our field manager John. We believe any issue that came up he resolved immediately. We cannot say the same about her 30 day walk-through. Like any home you find issues after you move in. At this point we believe we are not getting honest answers and a run around on problems that need to be addressed. Our advice is make sure everything is fixed prior to closing

At the design center, ask for motion detection light in your walk in pantry. They are great! Wish I'd have asked for them in the garage and the entry into the house from the garage. Upgrade paint if you can, I went with "basic" and found that it is water based and will come off if you rub too hard if you mar your walls. After baseboards were installed, the tile people came back and grouted (why I don't know, as I always thought baseboards were to give that "clean" line between floors and walls). We are pleased with the experience. Only real complaint is with warranty website. We left message when roof damaged. Waited 2 days as website stated and then called. Was very rudely told that it is 3 days no matter what website stated. Called on third day and no record of our original input. Had to start process over. Thank goodness for crews on site that noted severe damage and got it taken care of. Now our roof is again missing shingles and we have to start system again.

I want to start by saying that our overall building experience was good. On the plus side, the house design and features that we agreed to up front, were followed through to perfection. The project manager, Nick, was awesome and kept us informed during the build process and was responsive to our needs. However, we were disappointed with the condition of the home at final walk thru/closing. The whole process seemed rushed, which made for a lot of unresolved issues. I must say most issues with our home were satisfied by having to go past the on site builder and appealing to upper management. The customer service manager on site ( responsible for issues after closing) was completely the opposite. He made sure every item was completed ! A word of advice on the walk through is to check all appliances for any dents or scratches as we were blamed for construction damage (verified by whirlpool representative) to our refrigerator which was not noticed in our 30 minute walk through because it was partially hidden by cabinet casing enclosing the refrigerator. ...

We had problems selling our previous home and Janet was patient and understanding of the situation and the emotional aspects of home buying. I think the most significant disappointment was some of the base choices were quite disappointing. (Oven /Microwave combination) In the end we love our new home and are very happy with most of the workmanship.

We purchased a Stardom model and love the house, but the build process was a bit underwhelming. Minimal options available and unless. you were lucky to have a building manager that would stretch things (like adding an outlet somewhere), you received no as an answer. We even had an issue with where the EV charger plug was placed. Description said it came with 60' of cable for customer installation yet it was installed right under the breaker box in an unusable location, even after asking where to place it before it was installed. The only problem we had was to move in with large bush in front of house that was dying. It was pointed out that bush needed to be replaced. In one month bush was dead. They refused to replace and said I was responsible.

Our overall buying experience was good. Dan was very helpful & responsive to our questions. We are still missing trees & privacy bushes that we rightfully should have based on time we initiated our buying process. The construction manager is pushing back & will not give them to us. Homes newer than ours have received the privacy bushes. We have been fighting this since March 31st.

Good Quality Costruction, Poor Attention to final celanliness nad clean-up from work teams.

The overall quality o the home is good, but the final delivery was no clean, had paint spots, glue spots, etc., in every room.For the price of the home, I would have expected the home to be immaculate when we moved in and it was not and is not. We are still finding glue, paint spots, smeared substances on floors, showers and doors, scratched shower windows, etc. This should not have been left unnoticed and uncorrected by the contractors or the builder.
