Sales representative attentive, helpful, and not pushy. Impressed with some things in the build quality that they need to do a better job marketing, unimpressed with other things not aware of in the build. Need to make some adjustments for 55+ buyers ; like the filters for the furnace, not elderly friendly in a nine foot ceiling. Should older people be on a 9ft ladder changing the filter every month? Finish work lacks attention to detail. Caulking was messy and missing in places. We were missing a door knob. Kitchen drawer hardware was of very poor quality. Drawers very wobbly. We are trying to get these addressed.

We had several cosmetic issues when moving in, which the company has been pretty good to work with. We had a significant backsplash issue on the kitchen which led to it being torn out twice and re-done. On the third time, they upgraded the backsplash and got it right. The other significant issue is that the stairwell is out of square. When we reported it (prior to closing) they adjusted the kick plate at the bottom step so it appeared square compared to the flooring lines. The sales part of the process was excellent. They worked with us and answered all of our questions that we knew to ask. I am disappointed with the workmanship for the price we paid. Also disappointed with the quality of fixtures particularly the plumbing fixtures. After the 1st walk thru, we found several things that should have been addressed and fixed at that time because they were wrong. We have purchase and close on four previous homes, the last was in 2005 a Del Webb-Solera house in San Tan Valley, AZ. without any problems. The Sun City-Peachtree Sales Office staff hijack the closing with demands and threats! The trustworthiness, 1 star rating refers to the sales office staff, only.

We love our new home! We love the community! The overall home buying experience was very good. There are opportunities for greatness, however. Tracy, our sales rep, was amazing. Professional and knowledgeable every step of the way. She helped made the process smooth and delightful and instilled confidence in us. The options selection was the area of biggest concern for us. We love our house and the community with all of the activities available. A good experience from the initial purchase, design and option selections. Some quality and craftmanship issues with the home, but nothing that could not be corrected. Home was finished well before the initial completion date stated at time of purchase. Field Manager and Sales have been very responsive to all questions and concerns.

No hot water in master shower for a month

The hot water issue could have been handled much faster by replacing the regulator instead of waiting for parts. The exhaust fan in the kitchen wasn’t connected to outside. Took about a week to correct. Still waiting for a door lever for our den. Been here nearly two months now.

Overall Build Process Good - Follow-up is lacking

We were pleased with the overall build process of our new home. The sales person was excellent and the Project Manager assigned was extremely helpful and diligent in addressing our concerns. The follow-up after our closing definitely needs improvement. The customer service representative assigned to us was OK the first couple of weeks in responding to our requests, however, responding and then following thru is poor. We should not have to continue to email and call (due to not answering or not following thru) to get our issues resolved. This area definitely needs improvement.

Make sure that all items that you have noted in the walk-throughs are taken care of. Especially the painting. Only about 60% of the painting touch-up were fixed.

I was surprised by how many issues we had that in my opinion could have been avoided with better quality contractors. We are now moved in and expect to find the odd issue which to date the warranty person has handled very well. Our field manager Preston was great, wished he’d been involved from the beginning. We were very excited to get our Del Webb home. Upon moving in, we noticed numerous flaws in drywall and painting. It will take us a long time to correct them all. Our driveway has already cracked. Our hardwood floor is cracking and is chipped along the edges. Paint splatter even on the hardwood floors. Our shower door can only open one way because the walls are not straight. Many chips and imperfections also exist in the kitchen cabinets. There really appears to be a lack if attention to detail on the finish work.

The communications during construction was very good. The punch out handling I believe could have been handled better. The post customer care I feel is average according to who is involved. Some issues were prompt but others you get multiple answers and minimal results. I believe due to too many contractors on some items.

Overall the home has met our desires It is NOT a home with great workmanship, or high quality. The option upgrades are very expensive. I would put the value of these homes as average. Our construction manager was excellent, managing much of our concerns in a timely manner. The follow-up by Del Web customer service definitely met our expectations. You have to stay on top of the building project right up until your closing.
