While we love this beautiful community full of excellent amenities, purchasing a home during the pandemic proved challenging due to supply chain issues and a shortage of skilled laborers. Our selection of choices during our extremely short time given with the interior designer was marginal at best and we found our inability to change our mind about anything once leaving that appointment distasteful. Sales office was a great experience. Design center is after contract signed. Standard options are limited. Upgrades cost a lot and really add up. Tile work and painting in DWCE is not great. Plan to have done again within 2 years, especially outside. Have a beautiful premium lot but builder did not plant on green space at back of lot that is covered with very tall weeds. Unsightly and disappointed in that. Builder Manager Austin was great to work with. Communication at least weekly during build was impressive. Punch list not too long.

The setting and design is lovely offering many comforts for an aging community. Meetings with Debbie were productive and enjoyable. A woman’s jewel and focus is a home’s kitchen. My “upgrade 4” kitchen, is no gem. Installed is a Whirlpool refrigerator, Kitchen Aid range, Jenn Air dishwasher with contrasting stainless steel fronts and handles — whatever was available prior to closing. The cupboard that holds the Kitchen Aid microwave was damaged when installed as was an expensive pendant light. The 30-day walkthrough Josh offered has never been scheduled and I settled mid-June.

We went through four different construction managers of which Joel was by far the best. He communicated issues whether it was good or bad news Our house sat for 60 days with no work done. Very frustrating. We have not completed our list of items to be fixed due to being out of town. We are back now and will pursuit these items.

We felt good at first blush but not after moving into the house. As an aside, the house was overpriced as was the lot. Sign of the times!! General quality and fit and finish was disappointing. The house was dirty at move in and not move in ready at all. We had to call in cleaning teams to do interior and exterior cleaning to before we could completely move in. The quality control was far below our expectations. Apparently far too many houses are currently under construction for supervisors to adequately police the workers. The build was very delayed and we understand that. During this time there was reasonable communication. Once we did the walk-through and closed it was hard to get stuff done. We still have a missing lintel, both toilets are leaking and there is a hole in the plasterwork which is very noticeable. After three or four emails, the plumber is coming today...his office staff is rude in the extreme. The home and site needed a good clean when we moved in. Our salesperson was absolutely fantastic and helpful. Our construction manager did a great job of communicating and working with us. As we got closer to our closing date, it felt like items were being rushed and now that we are in our home, there are items that still have to be taken care of, which is disappointing as we have to work around furniture and fixtures we have installed. We love our home and the model we chose along with the neighborhood. Open items should have been 99% complete prior to moving in, and NOT having to be 'corrected' now that we are here.

My sales agent was wonderful, very knowledgeable, and helpful during the entire process. The shining stars in this community for sure. The construction is below my standards for a new home quality build. Communication was good throughout the process but falls short after you close. Getting the building/construction manager or his supervisor to respond to your concerns has been a challenge. The house is, in general, well built. We signed our contract in May of 2021 and were given a timeline for completion of mid Dec 21- mid Feb 22. The house was not completed until late June 22 (13 months after signing and placing a down payment. The 2 glaring issues are: 1) no radiant barrier installed and 2) the premium dishwasher we paid for is not yet installed. The excuse on the radiant barrier was "supply chain issues". I am not happy with how our whole build went. We were sold a lot that had to wait 4-1:2 months to get approval to build. We ended up completing months after people that signed contracts months after us. Was not contacted and informed as we had to call or got no updates.

We love Sun City, but the home quality is only so so. Also, virtually everyone we have worked with is professional and courteous. However, the subs Pulte uses are slow to respond to correct deficiencies.

We all know now that buying new construction in the middle of a supply shortage is difficult and nerve racking. With that said we are happy with finally being in our home but not at all happy with the amount of time it’s taken Pulte to address issues of repairs and warranty requests. We’ve been dealing with non working appliances, incorrect windows and patio door screens just to name a few. 30 days into living in the home we found some work to be below standards and feel they were simply overlooked to get us to close on the home.
