I was so excited to start this new adventure I may have overlooked the obvious. We bought the castlerock floor plan which is beautiful but has a lack of storage in the master closet and bath. Having a basement helps. There was no light fixture in the flex room. All wire shelving in the house is to cheap for the price of the home. Wall paint should be an eggshell not a flat paint every mark shows and isn’t easy to clean up. Escrow work is being completed and Nick has been very responsive to issues. Great guy!! The community is nice, the neighbors are nice. The internal construction is very nice. The outside, ESPECIALLY the siding has been a continued issue. Either the material is of poor quality-plastic siding, OR the installation company is a JOKE. It could be both. Pulte needs to examine this VERY CLOSELY

Still Resolving Multiple Issues With House

After moving in, we found that the water main shutoffs were not connected to the house. Getting that issue resolved resulted in our lawn and grounds being dug up and left in an unsafe condition. We’re still trying to get that resolved. We have been told by our lawn maintenance company that because of that improper grading, erosion will prevent a proper lawn from growing. Another issue, following a toilet backup after 3 days of moving in, we found that our driveway had been paved over a sewer blow out. Bring your own realtor when dealing with Del Webb. My construction manager was fabulous but the work done by the subs was less than good.

From west coast to east coast

We moved here from the west coast where over the years we had purchased several brand new homes so know what to expect and are familiar with the interactions with builders. This home has a nice layout and great neighborhood but the quality of the build is mediocre at best. The house serves its function of giving us shelter and making us comfortable but it comes with sacrifice of a good quality build. If we had to buy again in this region it probably wouldn’t be here. We paid premium price for average house.

We recently settled in our home and so far love the community. The house is nicely designed, but the finished product has a lot of defects. Still waiting to see how the Pulte team responds to the issues we have identified. We presented them with our 30 day list and should know in about a month what they will and won’t address. My biggest complaint is their response that it is up to our standards. I had to remind them my only frame of reference as to standards come from the workmanship in their model homes. People should know that some of the features in the models to enhance them actually are not available to buyers. People should know that Pule is a huge machine that dictates every step of the buying process. The machine is too large to consider any deviation to their plan by any individual buyer. Whatever date promised, add months. Need to watch every step of build as corners are cut by subs ie insulation not at appropriate lrvel, included features missing. Oversight of sibs and standards are lacking, ie trash behind walls if you open them up. Paying for the community, certainly not the quality of the home.

This is our third new home we have purchased. Based on prior two, this one lacks serious attention to detail. Builders main concern seems to be to close on homes as quickly as possible and neglect craftsmanship. Issues such as remaining paint splatters on floors, seams in cabinets with gaps, several floor boards were installed with clear damages, leveling of outdoor grassy areas, tiles grout with uneven colors, granite countertops with very rough surface to point a few. Overall a nicely designed home but could have done better.

I’ve been in my home for 7 weeks. I love my home but it’s taken awhile to get here. I believe there can be an improvement in coordination and communication. For the price I paid, I expected a cleaner more customer focused attitude throughout the construction of my home. I needed to escalate many issues three levels above my field contact. He got everything done and more importantly he took ownership until the issues were resolved. That is a priceless character and I truly appreciate his involvement!

First, love the location and folks in eTown Del Webb are very friendly. The building experience was OK. Our home was delayed which did not shock us but it also sat with no work being done on it for several weeks which was very frustrating. The superintendent we had is no longer with Pulte and the new supers seem to be much better. We feel the quality of the home should and could be better for the price. Renee, our salesperson was exceptional throughout the process. That's the good. The rest is average. The trades people who built the house really didn't care. There were issues with the structure, electric, drywall, HVAC, cabinets, appliances, doors and paint that needed to be rectified both during construction and after closing. Two months after moving in we are still finding issues. My advice to anyone buying here, GET A HOME INSPECTOR AND HAVE MULTIPLE INSPECTIONS DONE. Lastly, when I need to submit a home repair claim, our representative is responsive.

Overall I was disappointed with the process. While I feel we did receive a quality home, there were some items around the workmanship that were just below what was expected for the price. In addition, I was told the house was complete and was expecting a house that was complete on the date of close only to arrive to a house that was missing a shower door in the master bath, screens for the entire house and a few other unfinished items throughout. Our sales person, Jarrod, was very responsive and reachable during the entire process. He was compassionate about our concerns during the build process. Our build went extremely slow, with nothing much happening for months on end. We wished that the communication of reasons for delays were provided to us in a more effective manner to alleviate our anxiety. Overall we are pleased with the outcome and love being a part of Sun City. We would not recommend building, but instead buying a spec house that has already been built.

Make sure you don't purchase the cheapest appliance pkg. We did, and the stove is by far the WORST I've ever had. Poor quality, sides of oven (next to cupboards) heat up to 150 degrees when oven is on. Heat from vent hits the front panel so it is HOT to the touch and very dangerous for kids

Communication on sales end unacceptable. Design process needs improvement. Design consultant was good. Adding options was expensive as to what you were getting. The best experience was working with site manager to get us through the building process.

Our salesperson (Allen) really worked with us to find the lot that met our expectations. He was always pleasant and easy to work with. Our project manager (Jacob) did an excellent job communicating with us throughout the building process. He kept us informed of the progress with pictures and any information he thought relevant.
