Not sure

We're not too sure if we'd buy another Pulte home or move into another Del Webb neighborhood. The home was "finished" on time, but we did the final celebration walkthrough in a dirty, unfinished house. The baseboards are in terrible shape, there are doors that need to be replaced due to damage, the Sherwin Williams paint is cheap, the granite in the kitchen needs to be replaced (per the granite company) but haven't been able to get this resolved. The oven wasn't working and after 3 attempts by KitchenAid to repair it,they decided it was electrical and not the oven. My brother in law found ...

Not happy with our new home.

The workmanship in our home is, to be polite, poor. Paint spatters on the floors in every room in the house. Out of square walls. Doors that don't fit the frames. These are just a few of the issues we have had with this house. We never heard from our salesman again after the contract was signed. Overall this was not the experience we had looked forward to. It's not likely that we would ever buy another Pulte home.

Del Webb responded:
We are so sorry that your experience fell short of expectations and we will certainly share these comments with the local leadership team. Please email us at socialcare@pultegroup.com if you'd like to discuss your experience further. delwebb

Better than average but plenty room for improvement

The options and flexibility was extremely limited for new construction. Example: If you didn't want one of the 3 lighting options given you had to buy & install light fixtures/fans yourself. Also, the interior upgrades were grossly overpriced. I would say the quality is slightly above average for both the interior and exterior work. The Del Webb community itself is very nice.

Del Webb responded:
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate you highlighting both the aspects you enjoyed and the areas where we have room to improve. We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the community and that you found the overall quality of the home to be above average! Thank you again. ^KH ...

Buying a home from DellWeb was fairly simple, but the service provided by some is not great. We are provided several options to contact warranty..no one answers the phone or just goes into a waiting period. Leave a message, no returns calls. The warranty process in my opinion doesn’t make sense I rather do text messages. But some on team insist use the website. I don’t use website..don’t give me options if only one is available. Ask Jesse—When it rains a lake is visible behind home and next door too. The fill dirt on property is the crapiest I’ve ever seen. Also, the back yard is so uneven. ...

Like all sales people, Jordan said things that were not exactly accurate. It was about what I expected and I am not sorry we purchased here. I look forward to getting to know my neighbors and the community.

This is our second Pulte home in a Del Webb Community. We are disappointed in the fact that we bought our lot and home for full price, then Pulte offers huge discounts to new buyers. 2 weeks before we received our keys no work was done at the house. Then when we closed we are expected to have all the things that weren’t done reported for warranty work. Just so it is signed off by the homeowner and Pulte gets their money. I would seriously think about that before buying again.

I’ve found many cases where painters left paint brush streaks, paint bubbles, dried drips and paint buildup; cases where nailheads are showing on drywall, where floor tiles are not square with walls, gaps in floor molding mitre joints, uneven endcuts on floor molding. Cheap appliances.

Our experience was okay we did struggle a bit getting things set up as we first got here I would think there would be a better orientation rather than just saying you're having a meeting and hope that everybody shows up there should be a planned meeting time for each home buyer to go through and get set up on everything websites all your HOA information. We shouldn't have to wait over a month for us to receive HOA information and how to get signed up. I also feel like I was told a lie when we bought this house I was told the embankment behind me would be as pretty as the embankment up at the ...

The overall process was just average. I believe that the sales people underestimate the amount of upgrades that are really required to build a nice upscale home. Our specific sales rep was always on her day off or vacation. Once the house was completed we didn't even hear or see our rep. The quality of the build or upgrades is just not good especially considering the price. For example we upgraded to a glass french door for the office - the quality is horrible and it was very expensive. We've had several items that need to be repaired, fixed, etc. and getting them completed has been very ...

Poor quality ie. No insulation on hot water lines under concrete floor, specs for laundry room cabinets is 0.5” to low to accommodate a pedestal mounted washing machine underneath them, sink disposal switch is under the sink in a cabinet which is difficult for seniors over 55. Foundation insulation is poorly protected with a parge paint that is damaged easily and cracks easily, missing shelves in kitchen cabinets, door locks/deadbolt wouldn’t latch properly, many issues found by our independent inspector that were missed by the “Pulte Quality Build/inspection process”, ceiling led puck light ...

We never had contact with agent after sales contract was signed. Never received welcome packet till after finding out there was one. Never told that PO Box should not be included in mailing address. USPS was as confused as we were! Took weeks to receive mail. Building manager addressed our initial concerns but after two weeks will not answer our texts.

For the price of half a million dollars, they put in poor quality appliances. Oven hasn't worked for half of the time, ceiling lights have tripped breakers as well as the oven. Doorbell replaced. NO sound deadening between floors. Chrome fixtures mixed with nickel. Light bulbs flicker and die within one month. Lowest grade of master shower enclosure, no ledge for shaving legs, had to put a stool in there. Difficulty knowing who to contact when you have an issue. They suggest an email to use. No help in guiding us through all the registration procedures for appliances and HVAC units. Nails ...

We were out of town buyers. They like to rush the past two weeks before closing. Good lesson learned. The paint application is not acceptable inside and out. Paint on outside of home under cover porch and trim will need to be repainted. Debris left by paint roller and brush on walls and trim throughout the house. Drywall still needs work and had sections repaired by my outside painters. Paint, caulk, and grout left of tile floor and fixtures . Laundry room plumbing not installed properly. Shower door crooked.

I think Pulte did a fair job and missed a lot of easy opportunities to build a great home and engender goodwill with this customer. My perspective is likely skewed as my last new home purchase and build was 30 years ago, and for a much larger home at less than half the cost of this home. I don't feel the contractors hired by Pulte were striving for excellence in any way, shape, or form. I don't feel the Pulte construction manager had much experience and talked a good story but at the end of the day was not straightforward with the customer. In fact, I think he outright lied to me.
