Now I realize I bought an expensive track house. I worry about the future of the Sun City “neighborhood” concept that it was built on. Now the emphasis is on how many homes can be built and how fast. Infrastructure and amenities no longer come first but only after most of the homes have been built. Very disappointed in the Pulte model of Sun City.

Sales Office lied when they told us work on the new building quit every day at three. They work seven days a week until dark sometimes even after dark. We were told appliances were checked and tested before we moved in. Mine, and at least 30 other people in my building have electric ranges where the ovens tripped the circuit breaker. Every time it is put on. It took whirlpool a month to come out and investigate the situation. Dog owners are ruining the new building. They let the dogs defecate right outside the front door, ruining the grass. We have even had dogs defecate in our ...

The sales person was great during the home buying experience. After the sale was complete, not so much. Homes have warranty coverage and a system to post requests. They go unanswered.

The quality for a 600+ home is horrible! The paint, which was upgraded is horrible! Paint on the floor, rugs. chips on my counter that if they could not fix it expected me to pay for it. The landscaping person is absolutely useless! I had dead plants that I acknowledged before I moved in an trying to get them replaced correctly did not happen! It was not a good experience that's for sure!

Blue tape items not fixed by closing or even 34 days later

I closed over a month ago. No evidence of commitment for them to finish remaining items. No follow through. They don't care, especially once it closes. They claim the various vendors tried to get a hold of me, but if so, no messages or emails were left. Bad trim was replaced over 2 weeks ago and still no painter to repair the wall and paint the trim, on top of not completing items that were on the blue tape list a week before closing. Several different vendors need to come back and no update on when that will happen. It has been a poor process.

After driving thousands of miles to get into our new home we discovered that our brand new washing machine (that we purchased from Pulte) was leaking water. It took three phone calls and a heated conversation with the Customer Care people to finally get someone from Pulte to respond. They refused to replace washing machine even though it never wash one load. Their warranty states it will be repaired not replaced. Three weeks later and it still has not been repaired. No parts in stock to repair.. Totally frustrated!!

I feel the quality of the finished product is less than the ideal presented in the sales office. Lots of little issues left to be taken care of. I believe this is due to the number of homes the construction manager, who did his best, has to handle. Also, very few union people on the job which is reflected in the issues. All that being said, we are in the house and enjoying it and the neighborhood. IMO many of the issues that arose during construction could have been avoided if the construction manager had fewer homes to manage.

The company needs to follow up on claims and try to improve quality of home by reviewing the comments and seeing if they are achievable to make a home flow better. They appear to want quantity not quality!

First, you are buying a production home. Once you sign your structural contract with whatever options you have chosen there are no changes permitted at any price. Gee I want a porch. One day after signing you cannot have a porch. You can change and upgrade basic choices on selection day. However you are limited to what is determined for you. I want premium paint.NO! I want light dimmers NO. I want better appliances. YES up to the brands offered. The workmanship particularly trim work is sloppy. Look very closely at all aspects of the home--the little things. Check very carefully for insects. Paint issues, grout smears on tile, doors, drawers,and locks with keys. Don't assume everything works/is OK. The main gate is left open on the weekends. The other gate is never closed, and locked. So It's not really a gated comunity at this time like I assumed. Ergo, I had to purchase ADT--UGH!

We have numerous items that remain unresolved from our walk through and punch list. Several are significant. We have not heard back on any of them. We closed June 22. Over a month ago. We have also submitted other issues through the warranty process and none of them have been resolved. No communication. Nothing fixed.

Based on this experience, I would say that Del Webb Fulshear is not a priority for Pulte.

It is very difficult to trust people in this build when construction supervisors, customer care, etc. are moved to other projects. Customer care rep. was good about touching base with us on open tickets-airteam showed up when scheduled, however, whoever is in charge of landscaping has done nothing to correct the mistakes made in the front, side and partial backyard. They were here over two weeks ago and said they would be back to fill in the yard and replace some of the grass but we haven't seen them since. We were very excited about purchasing a new Del Webb home in Summerville, SC, but needless to say our expectations fell a little short. Poor communications, a delayed closing and poor workmanship were just a few of the reasons we were very disappointed. We paid for upgrades in almost every area, only to be disappointed with finishes, choices available and finally the end product. We are post 2 months closing and still dealing with issues.

I was mislead on the market for selling me house to buy this one. I was told the down turn would not effect North Carolina. I took a 70k loss on selling my house and was forced to pay top dollar for this one because I had put a down payment. The price of this house is way too high for what you get and the fit & finish is subpar. I could right a book this.

We were disappointed in the first agent we had at the Del Webb sales center. She was extremely rude. Our realtor reached out to the sales manager at the sales office and from there on he worked with us and he was great. As far as the building process, we had questions that were not answered by the building supervisor for our house. Very disappointing. Overall the attention to workmanship is lacking. Highly disappointed in the overall procees from start to finish. Once we signed papers with Pulte we NEVER heard from the sales agent. We missed out on getting a gas line run for gas grill (prior to foundation being poured). The quality of interior paint is bad ( i bet your average consumer would never buy this quality of paint in a paint store). It appears that the tankless hot water heater is a cheap commercial grade (the model that was installed does NOT have a dedicated return line which would allow for a recirculating pump to be added so hot water would be readily available. The beginning of my process was great, good communication, pre-sheetrock walk through good, regular updates. The final 45 days not so good. My builder representative did the surprise, it's ready early after telling me the house would be ready later for months. Then 2 days before closing wanted to push closing for a few minor things - all theatre! Do not close if you have even the smallest items outstanding, it's almost impossible to get them done after closing. Pulte may build a good house structurally but the finishing of the home & attention to details is of poor quality.
