Poor Communication & Poor Quality of Workmanship

We had 3 different field managers during the process and the lack of communication and follow through was disappointing and ridiculous. It took 13 months to complete our home and the final 8 weeks of the process went well with the newlya assigned manager. My entire home was floored with the incorrect flooring and I actually brought that issue to the field managers attention! He had no idea the floors were wrong but claimed he was at the home daily. I only received information or got questions answered if I reached out to them. I did get the VP involved during the final stages due to the ...

We are happy to be in the community. People are very friendly. However, Pultry uses subcontractors that don’t care about the quality of their work. Still waiting on getting repairs completed

After a month living here my rate has changed drastically as we noticed LOT OF defects not detected on day 1

The sales lady in the beginning was not that helpful and gave me NOTHING of information, fortunately she was replaced, Day one (final walk-in) with the emotion we did not see lot of defects in both the apartment as well as in the building: horrible painting finishing (my husband had to repaint), wood floors with holes, wood window cases with crashes, kitchen counter damaged, building doors not working, Garage doors randomly working, Garage extremely durty. I hope this helps

Disappointed

I’m disappointed in the workmanship, attention to detail, and poor quality in my home. I have submitted several requests for repair to the warranty department. I hope the problems will be fixed. The person in the warranty department handling my requests was out for 2 weeks, so that has delayed the issues being addressed. I’m disappointed that the project manager delivered my house this way and the cleaning off my house was very poor.

New home let down

  • Neil R.

The home was delivered six months after the projected closing date. The ceiling in the gathering room had to be resurfaced and repainted and doesn’t match the original making a house look like it’s not new. Interior workmanship is inferior when it comes to caulking, baseboard millwork, painting, uneven flooring, door mounting, some windows are cosmetically damaged and the frames need repainting. The French doors and entryway doors are not hung properly. All interior windows are missing their interior panels to hide screws. The house was far from being cleaned when we moved in. We had to clean ...

The sales process was great, and we were kept in the loop during the build. The closing date came unexpectedly as I was told we would be closing much later in the month. The house was not ready for the walkthrough. Doors were still being hung and the house was not finished for our inspection. We're 6 weeks post-closing and 4 weeks after moving in. Customer Care is just now starting to address our issues.

Delays.. blaming COVID still. Always using the phase this is not a custom home.. great I get that but this is an expensive home that should have quality cabinetry.. Pulte choose the LOW end on the cabinets and it shows.. biggest complaint is with oak craft cabinets.. and the grout used in showers not matching.. where should you spend you money in the kitchen and bath!! Why cut cost there only to have to come back and fix it.. why not do it proper the first time.. I believe you should stop selling homes and fix the existing properties you have on the books. It would go along In customer care

Don't pay till it's right

My home is beautiful and we love it. Finish work lacks craftsmanship and subcontractors expect non construction experienced home buyers to evaluate if and what problems there are. Results would be somewhat acceptable if I had paid 65% of the price I actually did pay. DO THE FOLLOWING BEFORE YOU CLOSE: Hire an independent home inspection; Check your excitement at the door and look at the house without blinders; Don't hand over the cash, don't close, until the house is right; Get familiar with legal remedies and arbitration; Get what you pay for.

This is the 4th Pulte home I've lived in. We went with Pulte because we've always had pretty good luck with this builder. Sadly I haven't had a good experience with this home. Everything was behind schedule by months costing us a lot of additional money. The workmanship was shoddy. I'm still finding glue and paint spots on the floor, cabinet mitered corners are an eye-sore, it's hard to get hot water in the kitchen, the cabinets were full of sawdust when I moved in, the edges of some of my doors are chewed-up, just to name a few issues. I brought it to the attention of the staff and ...

Overall the quality of the new home is average, which is better than expected considering the shortages of materials and labor. But there was, and continues to be, no communication both during and after the build process. I would not go through the new home purchase process again.

What should have been (per Del Webb’s) tv ads a joyous event became anything but that. Getting answers to questions, pushed to close when jot complete and then getting deficiencies corrected certainly kills the message you advertise. The residents are phenomenal, the experience just short of a nightmare. What happened to the Del Webb vision? BTW we are not in a 40 foot but a 50

We are still waiting for a list of things to still be done or finish being completed. We have been in our house 3 months and still can’t get all of these things completed. The tile and grout job was so sloppy and the paint job was even worse. There is paint all over my light fixtures, hardware and baseboards. I love my house, but I really wish the quality that we saw in the model homes is what we would have received.

Communication throughout the process has been poor. Slow responses on all levels. While the house is visually beautiful from the street, the interior of the home is poorly done. There appears to be no pride in the craftsmanship of my home. Poor paint, poor fit and finish, bad doors and the list will continue. The actual sale of the home went smoothly along with the mortgage process. However, the design process was not really design - the designer more accurately checked boxes and was not able to provide any design insight or suggestions, missed sharing information, and felt rushed through the process. Upon closing and moving into the home, we found the quality of workmanship to be poor. Examples of the poor workmanship include dry wall, painting, and trim throughout the house. The house does not reflect what you would expect of a finished product for the price paid. In addition, when getting ...
