Cuts on trim, drywall and framing not done with precision leaving gaps that should not have been present. The garage was not cleaned despite repeated requests to remove globs of concrete, drywall mud, sawdust and drywall dust. I finally cleaned it myself. Texturing and painting were done haphazardly with blank areas and paint runs.the sprinkler system was not working correctly and required multiple calls to get corrected. The ceramic tile work could of been much better. There are spots that have no grout in. Cable should of been done before the sod was put in. The cleaning crew leaves alot to be desired.

Ian was our GC, he honestly tried to meet all our needs but his hands were tied on alot of issues. We felt Pulte was not flexible at all.

All we can say is make sure all your needs are met before closing. If they are not do not close. You will find Pulte is not a custom builder but a track builder, which is a big difference.

Overall workmanship is sloppy at best. After buying a Del Webb home in Anthem, AZ I expected the same quality, but apparently the Austin market is too much for Webb.

Very hard to get things repaired. My drive is cracked, which I know they did it. And they keep telling me I have to put it in at the 11 month. Why so they can put me off and I have to live with a cracked and cement dropping driveway. I don't believe they will ever fix it. They will keep on putting me off. Surprise!!!! I'm not going away.

Poor Build Quality

Increibly poor build quality. Fit and finish are the worst I have witnessed in over 40 years of residential construction experience. The amount of caulk used to hide sub standard work has to be one of the major expenses for Pulte sub contractors. I would never go through the process with Pulte again.

Quality Keeps Slipping

Hi. This is our third Pulte home and the quality of this home is less than our previous Pulte homes. Cheaper stainless sinks, substandard pitted granite, thermostat of lesser quality and features. No light over the kitchen sink. This is a 55+ community and the shower head is hard to reach for me and I am 6 feet. I have to get the shower head down for my wife who is 5'5". The lights are not centered over the island. They only needed to be moved 7" to make them correct. The building process was not what I expected. The timeline for moving in was different than what I was told and reassured it would be. The house was very dirty! Subs did not clean up and were very sloppy. Had to replace all the carpet from stains. Sub contractors lied about repairs being made on the shingles, when in fact, the repairs had not been done. While friendly and personable the salesperson (April) cost me a lot of money because she did not explain cabinet configurations when I was choosing double vs single oven, and range hood. If we did not oversee the house building, and get things corrected the house would be a mess., shower was redone 3 times, added end stud in bathroom wall to stableized Sheetrock. Pulte needs to have better sub contractors that does not create so much rework and adds to cost of homes.. even sod needed replacement because of poor landscaping and infected sod. A lot of wasted materials and redone it labor. Do it right the first time !

It has been approximately one month since I moved into the new home. I currently have 10 open requests in for repairs. So far. I have had 7 contractor appointments to repair the refrigerator, cabinets, caulking, painting, etc. I anticipate over 10 more contractor appointments to address open issues. Due to serious insect issues, I was required to scrub, power wash (entire house) and paint areas of the house to clean and cover up insect residue. Buying the paint and paying for power wash was over $500.

Salespeople at Pulte Lies

I purchased the homesite specifically because the salesman with Pulte told me that I would have a high berm in back of the site. When we went to look at the lot, prior to foundations being poured, there was a high berm in the back. When I took the final walkthrough, however, there was a low berm whose height was only above my waist and scraggly planting planted on it. It will take 5-10 years for these plants to mature. Builder placed the HVAC compressor serving the adjacent house directly opposite my rear porch. It is so loud that it has made the porch unusable. My wife and I cannot have a conversation on our rear porch because we cannot hear each other .

Save your money. I bought a $150,000 KB Home in 2005 that had zero upgrades and was more focused on craftsmanship than this $650,000 Pulte home. Baseboards and door trim cut short and filled in with caulking. Wavy baseboards down the wall. Trash drawer bearing falling out. GFCI breaker keeps tripping. That's little stuff. I'm waiting on the big issues to show up. I doubt this house will last over 10 years without a serious remodel. Del Webb needs to hire professional vendors, experienced construction managers and not overload them with 35 plus houses to manage. Upper management is non responsive including the President of Pulte. The whole process needs to improve.

The Pulte name was supposed to be higher quality than most but they are no different than the rest. Many of the sub contractors hired do very poor work and the lack of quality clearly shows. They would rather clean up the mess after settlement than doing it right the first time. Our experience was very disappointing. Workmanship was nonexistant. This is our 8th home and hopefully our last. The build from Del Webb has been the worst. For example, we had them install a fan in the back screened in porch. Fan wobbled and globe was cracked. Luckily we had an inspector hired to throughly go over the entire house.
