Workmanship is very poor. It is a rush job and the home was 90+ days past the original close date. Quality of materials is cheap. I had 4 construction managers and the hand offs were terrible. I am having warranty issues and am told to wait until I get to a year for these items to be addressed.

Fit and finish of the home was awful. They cut every corner on material they can to save money. Be aware of their building materials and practices before making a purchase.

I would not wish anyone to have to go through a home buying experience in an over 55 community like we just have! The whole process was poor but like a lot of people we were caught up in the boom market which builders have capitalized on. Eventually we moved into our new home 7 months after our scheduled time. Overall the design is very poor and lacking basic understanding of the age and stage of who they are building for!

This experience was one of the most stressful things we have been through. The only person I would give a 5 star to was our saleperson Brendan. He was fabulous. He tried to help out on many different occasions getting us in touch with the right poeple. We closed in September and there are still so many issues they are addressing and fixing. At one point I wanted to stand out front of Dell webb with a sign that said don't buy here. I really think our problems stemmed from our Construction manager. Horrible sub contractors

The workmanship was/is absolutely terrible. Sloppy work, damaged doors, windows, appliances, garage doors and the list was over 9 pages long. Paint on our floors, doors improperly hung, tile work the worst we have ever seen. Only bright spot was the head construction manager Andrew got involved and has been resolving our issues. But the inconvenience to my wife and I has ridiculous. Almost seven weeks from closing and having to endure continued foot traffic and cleaning up after repair crews.

Experience with Pulte’s representatives has been less than stellar, from sales representative to field managers to mortgage company - lack of the "Courage To Do The Right Thing". Extreme lack of communication and false promises from Zach and Hampton. As the field managers, one would have thought that Zach and/or Hampton would be responsible for quality control regarding the work product of the parties constructing and providing services to the homes. Too many people in layered systems. From purchasing through follow up warranty support after closing. Poor communication. Real low quality materials used, especially wood framing. Workmanship quality and accountability of workers not good. They show when they show, do poor to fair work when present, leave low skill workmen unsupervised, and take too long to address fixing what should have been done right the first time.

Poor quality and communication

They advertise a "quality build experience." However, there appears to be limited quality control. They use poor quality and inferior products. We have bowed and crooked walls, peeling floors, unpainted and poorly painted/mismatched areas. Many of the doors and much of the trim work look like a dog or rodent has been chewing on it for years. It does not look new. They got paint on the carpet and floors and left it. The floors have divots and high and low spots. The electric outlets and light switches are not always flush, not always straight, and do not match up in several places where ...

I would not recommend building a new home with Pulte, they are way over priced, the quality is the worst I have ever seen (and I Own a Construction Company myself) and they use the absolute cheapest junk materials available.

I Wish I had Listened to my Gut Feeling! Worst Mistake to Purchase this HOME

I would not recommend Del Webb Bayview due to bad experiences with head of sales, field manager and lack of response to fix warranty items. While I know there are somethings out of control such as availability of supplies, but the lack of response and lack of accountability to complete tasks is infuriating. All the members of this community are frustrated. I wouldn't recommend building in this community. They are not organized and highly unresponsive.

Buying from Pulte

The home we had Pulte build and we bought two months ago was not move-in ready. It looked ready during our 20 min walk through prior to closing. Once we were in the house the next day, we realized the dishwasher wasn't securely attached and the cabinets have since been falling apart. We had a list of 32 items that needed attention and repair. We did receive follow-up to look at the issues and resolve.

Do not believe everything you are told by sales or project management. Models look good but quality of workmanship in house is none existent. This is the third house we have built in various parts of the country. This was the most stressful and worse quality of the lot.

Our sales person Shannon withheld information and even lied to us. Her boss (Kelly), and her boss's boss (Ashley) are equally useless. They don't appear to have much product knowledge and it shows. They almost seem proud of their ability to hide behind fine print. They used fear tactics and pressured us to decide quickly. "Hurry up, other parties are interested". It is now 4 months after closing with a long punch list and plenty of promises to address the issues immediately. To date, little has been done other than to replace the entire hardwood floors. The issues are so significant that I am not able to completely unpack & get settled. Writing to the Pulte Homes President got the floors replaced but little else. My house wasn’t clean before I moved in. Professional carpet cleaner said in all his 30 years he has never seen such filth in a brand new home. I have numerous issues that are still left unattended. I am not getting a response from the people responsible. I have issues with toilets, hot water, doors - we literally have to kick the back door to exit the house. A severe fire hazard.
