Stay away from Pulte in Bellwether. Deplorable workmanship and dishonesty

Numerous serious preclose problems-cracked trusses, large hole in roof, dishonest staff, no quality control, untrained trades including the use of children, etc. Upon closing we had a gas leak, no AC requiring a new compressor, our dishwasher flooded our kitchen wood floor, a utility flood, an island made of quartz 9 in too long, wavy siding, wood floorboards cut short, wavy concrete needing to be redone after close, too numerous and inexcusable to mention

low quality of finish work, house was filthy when we moved in, most appointments made to complete the punch list were ignored and we wasted hours and hours of our time waiting and we still have 20 plus items that need to be fixed/addressed and we have owned this home for one month

This is my 4th new build and by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. From the initial purchase to selection of finishes and through the entire build, closing and first weeks of living here, it has been excruciating.—delay after delay, one serious problem after another, difficulty getting problems addressed. The one positive thing is the wonderful neighbors.

The builder does not follow up on minor or major issues. There customer service department is a joke. I have requested paint samples for two months with no results besides a defective gate latch.

The whole experience was terrible and still is. All you do is ask for things to be fixed which should of been right from the beginning. You have to wait for everything to be done. Pulte doesn’t want to fix things that should of been done in the begging. For the amount of money you spend on these homes you should get a much better product.

Dear Del Webb not sure if this is your fault but Pulte builder rushed us through the walkthrough and said that all the items we wanted fixed would be. But Ron from Pulte who did the walkthrough with us did not tell us we would never see him again and any construction issue would need to go through Pulte Warranty and we would be held captive at the subs availability. Obviously Pulte had issues with the subs before we closed and rather than push off our closing they shifted the burden on to us the new homeowner. Why doesn't Del Webb (Pulte) and other large company builders show their reviews on their sites like other businesses do? Think about it. These surveys are only helpful to perspective home buyers, not to people who have already built. It might make for a better building experience for both buyer and builder if the builder knew the good or poor results were being more predominantly shown on their own site. Again, think about it. And I must add that it is so ironic that the canned reply from Del Webb (Pulte) on problems are exactly what most people have already done with little to no success. ...

I identified poor workmanship on the inside and outside of my home before closing and turned in several service reports of things that I did not see before moving in (e.g., busted wall inside kitchen cabinet, hole in bathroom cabinet, hole in kitchen ceiling, bathroom fixtures not installed) Noone has reached out to me. I regret purchasing this house!!!! Its not worth the money!!!!!

I have built 4 houses and this by far was the worse experience. Poor quality workmanship that had to have several areas be repaired or replaced multiple times from framing to plumbing to slab pouring to windows to painting. Quoted 4 months from signing of paperwork to closing. It ended up being 12 months and I am still dealing with issues still needed to be addressed with windows and doors. In addition the added timeframe cost me an additional $8,000 to extend the rental I had along with having to pay 1.25% higher mortgage rate which equates to another $38,000 more over the life of the ...

Moved in house and the list of issues is long. The biggest issue is the house is a energy efficient home. We pay double on our APS compared to our neighbors that have a bigger house. By 500 Sq Feet. Find out NO flashing on back of house. AC not working correct. When you email Pulte no answer. going on 2 months living in house and AC runs at 80 degrees all the time and we still pay $450 a month on APS bill. Not happy with Pulte.

Horrible experience. We understood that buying a model home was buying a home “As-Is”, we assumed things would be in working order. Hot water heater didn’t work. It was clogged with dirt from sitting for 6 years. You would think they would have inspected beforehand. We specifically asked about the hot water heater and we were reassured all had just been inspected. The oven sounds like it’s about to stop. The fan is very loud and goes forever after cooking. This was the worst experience I have ever had building a home. Huge company building for Del Webb where everything is sub contracted out. No pride in workmanship. Things are slapped together and beat up. Constantly pointing out how bad things were. Look through a home that’s built vs. a model home. You definitely don’t get what you pay for.

I was told that Pulte was a quality home builder, but our experience (and that of our neighbors) has been far from positive. Pulte has cut corners, downgraded its materials, and provided poor workmanship. We have had problem after problem, and I would not have bought into Del Webb had I known what I know now.

Purchased home in June 2021 and were hardly ever keep informed of the progress. We were told we would have a walk-through after installing our electrical which never occurred and are having several electrical problems. Finally moved in May 2022 and had an inspector come and found over a dozen issues, three which are major issues. Good luck calling customer service as they gave us the brush off. I have a number of outstanding repairs and incomplete or sub par workmanship items that must be addressed before I can begin to think about rating my new home!! The responsiveness of your people is seriously lacking. The past month I have not heard from or had ANY workmen here to complete or correct anything. Once I settled on my house I was told by my neighbor "Good Luck" on getting anything done.

We have had multiple quality related issues particularly with finish work. We are on the 5th crew to get problems fixed over a 2 month period and the issues aren’t resolved. Our lawn looks like they planted mostly weeds and DW/pulte is not timely addressing this problem. We would not recommend buying from DW/Pulte.

Had 4 different building managers. 2 didn’t give weekly updates. Lack of supervision of subcontractors resulted in poor workmanship requiring redoing of work resulting in delays. Five weeks after closing home remains incomplete. I do like the lifestyle and neighborhood!
